Evelyn McFee
Evelyn McFee of Kent died Sept. 6, 2001. She was 90.
Born Oct. 17, 1910, in Wallum, N.D., she lived in South County for 30 years.
She was a photographer for 10 years. She retired in 1970.
She was a member of Kent First Ward of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed painting, writing and sculpting.
She is survived by her son, James F. Joyner of Kent; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kent First Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Lucille Martha Sack
Lucille Martha Sack died Sept. 5, 2001, in Renton. She was 73.
Born Feb. 22, 1928, in Grand Rapids, Mich., Sack moved to Renton from Florida in 1973. She was a homemaker.
Sack was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Renton and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She enjoyed public television, knitting, crocheting, gardening, ice skating, musical films and watching Olympic skating events.
She is survived by sons Gary Sack of Renton, Eric Sack of Melbourne, Fla., Art Sack of Renton and Greg Sack of League City, Texas; daughter Marceille Miller of Fullerton, Calif.; brother Larry Wright of Los Angeles, Calif.; sisters Vivian Billock of Lansing, Mich., and Lois Hines of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12-5 p.m. Sunday at Faull-Stokes Mortuary in Renton.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Renton. A private cremation will follow.
Ellen `Nell' Cain
Ellen 'Nell' Cain of Auburn died Sept. 4, 2001, in Tacoma. She was 70.
Born Dec. 6, 1930, in Grand Island, Neb., she lived in Auburn for 44 years.
She taught Head Start and ceramics. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Camp Fire Leader, and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Auburn.
She is survived by her sons, Barney Cain and Larry Cain, both of Pacific, Mic Cain of Auburn and Sean Cain of Beaverton, Ore.; daughters Ellen Johnstone of Auburn and Roxi Jacobs of Pacific; sister Shelia Paro of Platts Mouth, Neb.; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A vigil service will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at Price-Helton Funeral Chapel in Auburn. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Auburn, followed by an inurnment at 3 p.m. at Tahoma National cemetery in Maple Valley.
Arthur L. Dodge
Arthur L. 'Bud' Dodge of Auburn died Sept. 6, 2001, in Auburn. He was 80.
Born Feb. 9, 1921, in Dark County, Ohio, he served in the Army, as a military policeman, during World War II. He married
Lois Carlson and lived in Auburn for 34 years.
Mr. Dodge worked as a automotive parts manager and then retired in 1986, after five years of service at Auburn Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church since 1967, a member of the Michigan Conservation Department, and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Dodge of Auburn; sons Aaron Dodge of Kent, Brian Dodge of Graham and Keith Dodge of Puyallup; daughters Rebecca Gillis of Enumclaw and Denise Ballinger of Tri Cities; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Price-Helton Funeral Chapel in Auburn. Burial will be at a later date at Tahoma National cemetery in Maple Valley.
Dorothy W. Camperson
Dorothy W. Camperson of Renton died Sept. 5, 2001, in Renton. She was 87.
Born Oct. 14, 1913, in Seattle, she moved from Bellevue to the Kent and Renton area in 1994.
She was a member of the Seattle Tennis Club. She enjoyed walking on the beach and playing tennis.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Thompson of Renton; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service was held.
Memorials may be made to the Children's Hospital in Seattle.

Cynthia Lee Savitch
Cynthia Lee Savitch of Renton died Sept. 2, 2001, in Renton. She was 46.
Born Aug. 29, 1955, in Fontana, Calif., she married
Todd Savitch on May 10, 1992. She lived in Renton for two years.
Mrs. Savitch enjoyed her three dogs and watching Court TV, the the Game Channel, and the Soap Network.
She is survived by her husband, Todd Savitch of Renton; and brother Victor Zumpano of Fontana, Calif.
A memorial service will be held in Fontana.

Carl M. Peterson
Carl M. Peterson of Kent died of heart failure Sept. 3, 2001, in Orange Beach, Ala. He was 85.
Born Jan. 2, 1916, in McPherson County, Kan., Mr. Peterson graduated from the University of Kansas in 1938 with a degree in business administration and accounting. He lived in Kent since 1973.
He worked as an auditor for The Boeing Co. from 1957 until retirement in 1982. Mr. Peterson was a member of the Kent United Methodist Church in Kent, the Mason and the Shriners.
He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Clara May Peterson in April 2001. He is survived by his sons, James Lee Peterson of New Orleans and Carl M. Peterson II of Orange Beach, Ala.; daughter Barbara Ann Peterson of New Orleans; and two grandchildren.
Inurnment services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Witchita Park cemetery in Witchita, Kan. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kent United Methodist Church.

Betty Lee Armstrong
Betty Lee Armstrong of Federal Way died Sept. 4, 2001, in Federal Way. She was 77.
Born Jan. 16, 1924, in Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Armstrong moved to South King County in 1966.
She was an administrative assistant for the federal government at the Auburn General Services Administration building for 17 years.
She was a member of the American Legion Post No. 19 in Renton, the 8 and 40 Club and a volunteer for the Special Olympics and Veterans Affairs Hospitals.
Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Armstrong on March 25, 1993. She is survived by her son, Duane Armstrong of Puyallup; daughters Patricia Tabor of Puyallup and Rebecca Smith of Clarkston; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Kent United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton.

Allison Rae Poitra
Allison Rae Poitra died Sept. 4, 2001, in Federal Way. She was 30.
Born Dec. 20, 1970, in Rolette, N.D., she attended school in Issaquah and attended Green River Community College for nine months. She lived in South King County for 25 years.
She was a claims filer for Group Health for three years and for Regency in Seattle for five years. She was a member of the Renton Assembly of God and the Spanish Drill Team in Ballard. She enjoyed dancing, camping, traveling to Las Vegas, Hawaii and Disneyland.
She is survived by her son, Ryan Wehrwein of Renton; daughter Alyssa Wehrwein of Renton; parents Delmar and Romona Poitra of Renton; brothers, Jeff Poitra of Orting and Kevin Poitra of Clarkston; and sister, Sandra Lecoq of Kent.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at Greenwood Funeral Home in Renton.

Lawrence Albert Watson
Lawrence Albert Watson died Sept. 4, 2001, in Des Moines. He was 76.
Born Sept. 16, 1924, in Spokane, He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II, and received the American Area award, Asiatic-Pacific award, Good Conduct award, and the World War II Victory Ribbon. Mr. Watson lived in South King County for 35 years.
He was a member of Marcus Whitman Presbyterian Church in Des Moines, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Lions Club and the Coeur d'Alene Tribe. He served on the planning committee in Des Moines, and was Citizen of the Year in 1999 in Des Moines. He was a volunteer bus driver at the seniors center.
Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred M. Watson on Feb. 8, 2001. He is survived by his son, Larry Watson Jr., of Des Moines; and daughters, Judy King of Pasco, Rita King of Anacortes, and Carol Watson of Federal Way.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. today at Marcus Whitman Presbyterian Church in Des Moines. Private inurnment will be at Tahoma National cemetery in Maple Valley.

Robert James Woodriff
Robert James 'Bobby' Woodriff of Auburn died Sept. 4, 2001 in Seattle. He was 3.
Born July 17, 1998, in Moscow, Idaho, Robert lived most of his life in South King County. He enjoyed riding his scooter, playing outdoors, and watching 'Bobby's World.'
Robert is survived by his father, Jason Woodriff of Enumclaw; mother Monique Woodriff of Auburn; step-father William Craig Stanley of Auburn; sister Chelsea Lynne Bernardin of Auburn; stepsisters Samantha Dawn Stanley and Maddy Stanley both of Black Diamond; and grandparents Ron and Linda Zabora of Kent, Larry Bernardin of Kent, Marlene Fischer of Kent, Jack and Mary Woodriff of Enumclaw, Linda and Marvin Jolly of Pacific, and Robert Stanley of Kent.
Visitation is from 3-7 p.m. today at Yahn & Son Funeral Home in Auburn.
