Roy Morris WICKSTROM
Roy was born on November 5, 1927 and died from complications during heart surgery in Virginia Mason Hospital on November 2, 2000. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1945, continuing his education at the University of Washington where he graduated with his bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Roy married
his wife of 50 years, Ann Walthew, in 1949. Roy later returned to the U. and obtained his teaching certificate. Throughout the years, Roy was employed at The Bon Marche, Warshal's Sporting Goods, The University Book Store, the Alpine Haus, and Olympic Sport Center. In 1986 Roy obtained his real estate license and began his career at Duvall Realty. Throughout Roy's working career his first love was always salmon fishing, spending parts of nearly every year on the ocean on a variety of trolling boats all of which he had a hand in building or re-creating as needed. After starting his real estate career, Roy became involved in helping to shape the future of his community serving in the Duvall Business Association (past president) and the board of the Depot Village Mobile Home Park. Roy was a member of the Board of Commissioners of Water District 119 and was the Water District Manager. Roy is survived by his seven children, 14 grand children, and three great grandchildren. Clara M. (Roop) WIESENBACH
Died November 2nd at the Hearthstone on Green Lake. Born October 13, 1903 to Maston and Mary Roop in Tacoma, attended Belling ham Normal School, taught school, rode horses and did farm chores. Married on August 19, 1927 to Ward O. Wiesenbach who preceded her in death in 1986. Raised two children, William J. and Roger B. who both survive. Worked as a welder on ships during WW II, IRS clerk, attendant-counsellor at Fircrest School. Known as Gran to many, she was much loved by her many friends and relatives. Memorial Service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8 at St. Dunstan's at 722 N. 145th in North Seattle. She would wish you to remember her by doing some thing nice for someone else such as reading a book to a child. Janet was born on October 29, 1924 to John K. & Esther (Thorne) Jackson in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was married
to William Williams on October 24, 1946 in Seattle. He preceded her in death in 1998. Janet graduated from the University of Washington and worked in administration at the UW Hospital for 15 years retiring in 1976. A previous resident of Seattle, Janet has lived on Mason Lake in Grapeview, WA. since 1975 and had been active in her community. Janet passed away on Friday, November 3, 2000 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, WA. at the age of 76 years. Survivors include: three sons: Michael K. Williams, Seattle, WA., Steven V. Williams, Olympia, WA., David J. Williams, Grapeview, WA.; one daughter: Laurie K. Howard, Hoquiam, WA.; and six grand children. Born January 3, 1928 in Leavenworth WA, passed away November 2, 2000 in Seattle at age 72. U.S. Army Master Sergeant, retired in 1968 and retired from Metro Transit in 1995. Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Yuriko I. Zimmer of Seattle; daughter, Debora Z. Sullivan and her husband Bruce of Snoqualmie; son, Karl D. Zimmer and his wife Ginger of Lake Stevens; grandchildren, Arielle and Alliea Zimmer; brothers, Mike and Howard Zimmer; sisters, Mary Granberg, Patricia Pedrosa, Gladys Clark and Pauline Smith; step-brother, Don Schmidt and numerous nieces and nephews.
