Jean Webby
Jean Webby of Kent died Sept. 11, 2001, in Des Moines. She was 85.
Born March 13, 1916, in Duncan Ariz., she lived in Kent for 60 years.
She retired in 1983 after working 20 years as a shop clerk at The Boeing Co.
She is survived by her son, Michael Webby of Kent; daughter, Nancy Webby of Kent; and a grandchild.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at Marlatt Funeral Home in Kent.
A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
George West Stelter
George West Stelter died Sept. 14, 2001, in Renton. He was 79.
Born June 20, 1922, in Boulder, Colo., Mr. Stelter served in the Navy in World War II on Underwater Demolition Team No. 18 and achieved the rank of PhoM3/c. He lived in Renton for two months.
He was a funeral director for about 40 years. Mr. Stelter owned and operated Lawn Crest Memorial Park in Redding, Calif., and was director at Mount Hope cemetery in San Diego, Calif. He was past commander of the American Legion, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and the 40-8 military organization, all in Redding, Calif. He enjoyed photography, fishing, and traveling. Mr. Stelter was also active with the Future Farmers of America, the March of Dimes, and in the early 1950s, he helped organize clinics for polio vaccination.
Mr. Stelter is survived by his daughter, Alice Gardner of Renton; brother, John Stelter of Arizona; and a grandchild.
Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home in Renton. A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Tahoma National cemetery in Maple Valley.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Seattle.
Bruno A. Joseph Romeo
Bruno Anthony Joseph Romeo died Sept. 16, 2001, in Kent. He was 23.
Born Sept. 29, 1977, in Renton, Mr. Romeo lived in Kent his entire life.
He worked in technical support for Earthlink.
Mr. Romeo is survived by his parents, Bruno Romeo of Renton and Carol Romeo of Kent; sisters Sarah Meyers of Mount Vernon and Theresa Harrison of Newcastle; grandparents Raymond Sack and Marguerite Sack of Seattle, and Beatrice Romeo of Bellevue.
Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Kent Stake Center Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kent. A memorial service will be at 10:30 Thursday at Kent Stake Center Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will follow at noon at Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent.

Carmella L. Nagel
Carmella L. Nagel died Sept. 14, 2001, at her home in Renton. She was 91.
Born July 14, 1910, in Renton, she married
Ernest Nagel on Dec. 16, 1933, and was a lifetime resident of Renton.
She was a ski clothing seamstress and enjoyed planting and pruning trees and working on the family farm.
Mrs. Nagel was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Nagel in 1971; daughter, Virginia Nagel-Gillingham in 1999; two brothers; three sisters; and three grandchildren. She is survived by her son, William Nagel of Renton; daughters Emma Redman of Renton and Barbara Duke of Issaquah; brother Frank DeLeo of Montana; sisters, Mamie Thirion, Rose Lapsansky and Margaret Woods, all of Renton, and Mary Price and Antoinette Bassett, both of Woodinville; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at noon Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Renton followed by a funeral at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton.

Elmer R. Dodge
Elmer R. Dodge of Renton died Sept. 13, 2001, at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue. He was 82.
Born March 29, 1919, in Seattle, he served in the Army in the Pacific Theater from 1940 to 1943. He married
Gwen Stephens on July 14, 1946, in Renton and was a resident of Renton for six years.
Mr. Dodge retired in 1977 after more than 20 years of service as a truck driver at Acme Fast Freight.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen Dodge of Renton; daughter Debbie Dodge of North Bend; and two grandchildren.
At his request, a private service will be held.

Margaret Miller
Margaret Deborah 'Debbe' Miller of Skyway died Sept. 11, 2001, in Seattle. She was 52.
Born Jan. 23, 1949, in Bozeman, Mont., she graduated from Renton High School in 1967, then from Green River Community College. She married
Robert Miller on Aug. 19, 1967, in Skyway. She lived in the Renton/Skyway area since 1954.
Mrs. Miller worked as a bookkeeper for 10 years. She enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, sewing, camping and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Miller of Skyway; daughter Noelle Gillett of Gaithersburg, Md., and Michelle Miller of Eatonville; foster daughter Angie Bailey of Oak Harbor; brother Melford Rae of North Bend; and five grandchildren.
At her request, no services will be held.
Memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation or Public Television Channel 9.

Anastasia Savio
Anastasia Savio of Renton died Sept. 9, 2001, in Renton. She was 88.
Born Nov. 29, 1912, in Issaquah, she lived in the Renton area for 69 years.
Mrs. Savio retired in 1977 after 44 years of service at The Boeing Co. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Savio; brother, John Hirko; and sister, Hazel Hoppe. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Hirko of North Bend, and sister, Susan Weflen of Kennewick.
Memorial Masses will be held at noon Sunday and at 8 a.m. Oct. 5 at St. Anthony's Parish in Renton.

Chester L. Gibson
Chester Lowell Gibson of Centralia died Sept. 26, 2001, in Centralia. He was 77.
Born Aug. 26, 1924, in North Grove, Ind., Mr. Gibson lived on Auburn's West Hill from 1969 until moving to Centralia three years ago.
Mr. Gibson was a retired car foreman for Burlington Northern Railroad.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Gibson, in 1989. He is survived by his sons, William Gibson of Federal Way and Duane Gibson of Tennessee; daughter, Charlene Tester of Centralia; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Friday at Mountain View cemetery in Auburn.

Georgia M. Nelson
Georgia May Nelson of Des Moines died Sept. 27, 2001, in Burien. She was 60.
Born Dec. 27, 1940, in Auburn, she was a lifetime resident of the South County area.
A homemaker, she was a lifetime member of Girl Scouts of America and was a member of Normandy Christian Church in Des Moines.
Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband of 35 years, Robert Nelson of Des Moines; son, Troy Nelson of Des Moines; daughter, Elva McArthur of Oak Harbor; brothers, Don Cruson of Auburn and Ron Cruson of Hepner, Ore.; sisters, Marcia Farren of Silverdale and Barbara Nordyke of Sumner; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. today and from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Price-Helton Funeral Home in Auburn. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Normandy Christian Church in Des Moines, followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. at Mountain View cemetery in Auburn.

Floyd H. Hawk
Floyd Homer Hawk of Kent died Sept. 25, 2001, in Renton. He was 73.
Born June 15, 1928, in Herminie, Pa., he served in the Army and married
Betty Ann Gilman May 19, 1997, in Lewiston, Idaho. He lived in the South County area for 47 years.
Mr. Hawk was the president of Sanco Northwest Lot Services. He was a race car owner and driver.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Hawk of Kent; son, Bill Hawk of Auburn; brother, Henry Hawley of Virginia; and numerous grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone Community Baptist Church in Kent.

Audrey M. Morgan
Audrey M. Morgan of Auburn died Sept. 24, 2001, in Auburn. She was 83.
Born Oct. 26, 1917, in Sailor Park, Ohio, she was honorably discharged from the Army in 1945 and received the Victory Medal. She lived in the South County area for 55 years.
Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bern J. Morgan; and son, Mitch S. Morgan. Mrs. Morgan is survived by her son, Mark Morgan of Selah; daughter, Denise Todd of Auburn; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Tahoma National cemetery in Maple Valley. Mrs. Morgan's body was donated to the Willed Body Program at the University of Washington Medical Center.
