Cherry Lee Kemp
Cherry Lee Kemp of Kent died of lung cancer Sept. 28, 2001, at Seattle University Hospital. He was 59.
Born Jan. 18, 1942, in Ardmore, Okla., he married
Irene Kemp March 25, 1989, in Las Vegas and lived in Kent for two years.
Mr. Kemp worked at Nana Management Services for 11 years doing janitorial work. He enjoyed jazz, basketball, and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, HallieFay and Cherry Lee Kemp, Sr.; and brother Anthony Kemp. He is survived by his wife, Irene Kemp of Kent; sons Darren Lamont Kemp of Los Angeles, and Codie Lee Kemp of Palmdale, Calif.; brother Thomas Kemp of Los Angeles; sisters LeVonne Henry, Brenda Rodgers, Petrunella Lorraine and Eleanor McMurray, all of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Los Angeles.

Audrey M. Morgan
Audrey M. Morgan of Auburn died Sept. 24, 2001, in Auburn. She was 83.
Born Oct. 26, 1917, in Sailor Park, Ohio, she was honorably discharged from the Army in 1945 and received the Victory Medal. She lived in the South County area for 55 years.
Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bern J. Morgan; and son Mitch S. Morgan. Mrs. Morgan is survived by her son Mark Morgan of Selah; daughter Denise Todd of Auburn; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Tahoma National cemetery in Maple Valley. Mrs. Morgan's body was donated to the Willed Body Program at the University of Washington Medical Center.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Donald A. Schuller
Donald A. Schuller of Maple Valley died Sept. 27, 2001, in Maple Valley. He was 84.
Born Aug. 29, 1917, in Mallard, Iowa, Mr. Schuller served in the Navy from 1937-1957, earning a Purple Heart. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He married
Irene E. Johnson on Feb. 6, 1943, in Washington, D.C. Mr. Schuller lived in the South County area for 55 years.
He was a member of the Fleet Reserve and enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming. He was a self-employed electrician.
Mr. Schuller was preceded in death by his son Donald Schuller Jr. He is survived by his wife, Irene E. Schuller; sons Mark Schuller of Spokane and Michael and Bill Schuller, both of Seattle; daughters Patricia McFall of Maple Valley, Eileen Schuller of Everett, Mary Wycoff of Vashon, Theresa Schuller of Olympia and Lori Schuller of Seattle; brother Mark Schuller Jr. of Mallard, Iowa; sister Valeria Sauter of Varina, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church of Renton, with burial at Tahoma National cemetery following.
A reception will be held from 2-6 p.m. today at Lake Wilderness Villa Community Center.

Evelyn G. Barnett
Evelyn G. Barnett of Federal Way died Oct. 7, 2001, in Federal Way. She was 89.
Born March 27, 1912, in Elkhart, Ind., she lived in the South County area for 47 years.
Mrs. Barnett worked for many years as a dental and doctor's assistant in the Auburn and Federal Way areas. She was a charter member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Federal Way and was active in Phone Friends. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, S.C. Barnett. Mrs. Barnett is survived by her son, Larry Frey of Spanaway; stepsons Orlynn Barnett of Auburn and Sylvester Barnett of Fremont, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m. today at Price-Helton Funeral Home in Auburn. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Federal Way. Burial will be at Mountain View cemetery in Auburn.
Robert P. Marchetti
Robert Patrick Marchetti of Edgewood died Oct. 8, 2001, in Bellevue. He was 61.
Born Sept. 10, 1940, in Seattle, Mr. Marchetti graduated from Franklin High School in 1958 and served in the Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962.
He married
Nancy Gallagher in Seattle in 1965, attended Highline Community College for two years and earned a business degree from the University of Washington in 1970. He lived in Auburn from 1969 to 1993.
Mr. Marchetti was a revenue officer for the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, coin collecting, fishing, camping, gardening and looking for antiques.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Marchetti of Edgewood; daughters Jennifer Marchetti of Bothell and Karen Quaale of Carnation; son Terry Hines of Marysville; and sisters Josephine Marchetti of Lynnwood and Janice Waddell of Port Orchard.
Visitation will be held from noon to 5 p.m. today at Greenwood Funeral Home in Renton.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Greenwood Funeral Chapel in Renton. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton.

J. Hall Adams Jr.
J. Hall Adams Jr. of Kent died Oct. 8, 2001, in Kent. He was 71.
Born Jan. 8, 1930, in Seattle, Mr. Adams lived in the South County area for 40 years.
He retired in 1990 as a grocery clerk at Queen Anne Thriftway. He was a member of Tacoma Elks Lodge 174 and was active with the Emergency Food Network in Tacoma. He enjoyed square dancing, traveling and reading.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jeanne Adams of Kent; sons W. Hall Adams of Kent and Jim Adams of Tacoma; daughters Kathy Westover of Bellingham and Peggy Dunn of Kenmore; brother Samuel Adams of Bellingham; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Price-Helton Funeral Home in Auburn.

Lelia Mae Nordby
Lelia Mae Nordby of Renton died Sept. 14, 2001, in Seattle. She was 91.
Born March 15, 1910, in Wautoma, Wis., Mrs. Nordby attended River Falls Teachers College in Wisconsin and moved from Seattle to Renton in 1963.
She retired as a telephone operator at The Boeing Co. after 30 years of service. Mrs. Nordby was a member of Amaranth. She dressed and donated many dolls to the Des Moines Food Bank and enjoyed folk art painting, flower gardening, collecting dolls and teddy bears and flying small airplanes.
Mrs. Nordby was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nordby, in 1992.
She is survived by her sons, Douglas Nordby of Bowman, N.D., and Robert Nordby Jr. of Ontario, Canada; daughter Gurine Nordby of Seattle; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Funeral Home in Renton. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton.

Lloyd G. Atwood Sr.,
Lloyd G. Atwood Sr., of Renton died Oct. 3, 2001, in Renton. He was 84.
Born Aug. 20, 1917, in Tacoma, he served in the Navy during World War II and was a lifetime resident of the South County area.
He retired from The Boeing Co. as a machinist and crane operator and from the Washington State Ferry System as a quartermaster. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Teamsters, Screen Actors Guild and was a past commander of the American Legion. He was a restoration volunteer at the Museum of Flight, giving 4000 hours working on B-17s.
Mr. Atwood was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Atwood in February 2001; and son Jack Atwood in 1998. He is survived by his son, Lloyd Atwood Jr. of Seattle; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Faull-Stokes Mortuary in Renton. A private burial will be held at Tahoma National cemetery in Maple Valley.

Gary Lee Payne
Gary Lee Payne of Colville died Sept. 30, 2001, in Kettle Falls. He was 31.
Born March 9, 1970, in Phoenix, Ariz., he attended Enumclaw High School.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a past member of Black Diamond Eagles and a member of Black Diamond Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, swimming, diving and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Payne of Ravensdale; parents Tommy and Marla Payne of Ravensdale; brother Charles Payne of Kettle Falls; and sister Phebe Payne of Ravensdale.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Weeks' Enumclaw Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Black Diamond Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park in Enumclaw.
Marie F. B. Michels
Marie Florence Bolton Michels of Enumclaw died Oct. 1, 2001, in Enumclaw. She was 81.
Born Sept. 15, 1920, in Tacoma, she graduated from Buckley High School in 1937 and lived in Enumclaw for 33 years.
A homemaker, she worked at Todd Shipyards during World War II, managed a coffee shop at Rainier State School for 10 years, worked at Kay's in Buckley and was a sales person at Jayhawks in Enumclaw. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and her dogs and cats.
Mrs. Michels was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Lousie Bolton in 1942. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Peter Joseph Michels of Enumclaw; sons Ronald Bolton of Buckley and James Bolton of Enumclaw; brothers Charles Carson of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Leo Carson of Redding, Calif.; sister Jean Miltenburger of Bend, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 13 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Enumclaw.
