Bobette R. Jerde
Former Renton resident Bobette Rathman Jerde of Issaquah died Nov. 10, 2001, in Issaquah. She was 73.
Born Aug. 25, 1928, in Colville, she married
James M. Jerde Dec. 20, 1946, and lived in the Renton area for 50 years.
A homemaker, she was a member of Hulu Kumus Hawaiian Dance Group and the Washington Board of Realtors.
She enjoyed traveling by motor home, dancing, genealogy, reading and astrology.
Mrs. Jerde is survived by her husband, James M. Jerde of Issaquah; sons James B. Jerde of Scotts Valley, Calif., Thomas M. Jerde of Kent and John K. Jerde of Oak Harbor; daughters Ralene B. Pishue of Everett and Kari J. Woods of Salinas, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
At the request of the family, no services will be held. Inurnment will be at Tahoma National cemetery in Maple Valley.

Donald G. Trader
Donald Gene Trader of Auburn died Nov. 10, 2001, in Auburn. He was 56.
Born March 30, 1945, in Tacoma, he served in the Navy from 1963 to 1966. He spent 18 years in Auburn.
He worked as a painter at The Boeing Company.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Trader of Auburn; son Donald Trader Jr., of Auburn; daughter Teresa Trader of Auburn; brother Thomas Trader of Silverdale; sister Patricia Thomas of Orting; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday at Yahn & Son Funeral Home in Auburn.
A funeral will be held there at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be at Mountain View cemetery in Auburn.

James E. Burnham
James Eldred Burnham of Maple Valley died Nov. 8, 2001, in Auburn. He was 79.
Born June 26, 1922, in Snoqualmie, he served in the Air Force during World War II and married
Betty England in 1945. He lived in the Renton and Maple Valley area since 1947.
He was an operating engineer for Sagale Inc., for 20 years, retiring in 1985.
He belonged to Operating Engineers Local #302 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Burnham of Maple Valley; sons Michael Burnham of Maple Valley and Jeffrey Burnham of Nevada; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Maple Valley Church of the Nazarene.
There will be a private cremation. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Memorial park in Renton.

Darryl Clyde Ferguson
Darryl Clyde Ferguson of Auburn died Nov. 21, 2001, in Auburn. He was 45.
Born Nov. 25, 1955, in Elmira, N.Y., Mr. Ferguson was an accountant.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Ferguson; son, Jesse; and daughters, Erin and Aliya. Last names and cities were not given.
A memorial service, with military honors, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Tahoma National cemetery in Maple Valley.

Nadine A. Howden
Nadine A. Howden of Newcastle died Nov. 16, 2001, in Bellevue. She was 68.
Born May 30, 1933, in Bellevue, she lived in Newcastle her entire life.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, James Howden of Bellevue; son Bradley Howden of Newcastle; daughter Pamela Howden of Newcastle; and brother William Peless of Newcastle.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ella F. Herreid
Ella Florence Herreid of Auburn died Nov. 20, 2001. She was 90.
Born Feb. 16, 1911, in Blair, Wisc., she lived in South County for 55 years.
She was a retired licensed practical nurse. She enjoyed crocheting afghans.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard W. Herreid.
She is survived by her son, Charles L. Herreid of Moses Lake; daughters, Joyce M. Serquinia of Auburn and Shirley J. Hartman of Dodgeville, Wisc.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mountain View cemetery in Auburn, followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Auburn.
Harry J. Weiler
Harry Joseph Weiler of Renton died Nov. 20, 2001, in Renton. He was 83.
Born March 15, 1918, in Hebron, N.D., he lived in South County for 55 years. He served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Weiler worked in assembly at United Cerebral Palsy, retiring in 1991 after 26 years of service.
He enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Weiler; sister, Barbara Medgard; and two grandchildren.
No services will be held.

Monty B. Armstrong
Monty Bruce Armstrong died Nov. 20 2001, at his home in Auburn. He was 64.
Born Jan. 9, 1937, in Wenatchee, he was a lifetime resident of the South County area.
Mr. Armstrong retired in 1991, after 36 years of service, as an electronic technician at the Boeing Co. He was a member of the Auburn Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed working on projects around the house.
He is survived by his sons, Dave Armstrong of Federal Way, Jeff Armstrong of Auburn, and Tom Armstrong of Carnation; daughter, Cindy Zitterich of Auburn; sisters, Leona Mottern of Seattle and Jana Barnett of Arizona; and five grandchildren.
No services will be held.

Betty June Stephens of Auburn died Nov. 19, 2001, in Auburn. She was 69.
Born June 6, 1932, in Vale, Ore., she lived in the South County area for 48 years.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Stephens of Auburn; son, Robert N. Stephens of Renton; daughters, LeAnna Gunter of Enumclaw, Dianna Peterson of Renton, and Arleen Seese and Mary Crumpton, both of Auburn; brothers, Robert Baze of Seattle and Lewis Baze of Kent; sister, Margaret Rowland of Renton; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Renton Eagles.

Betty J. Lucas
Betty J. Lucas of Federal Way died Nov. 20, 2001, in Federal Way. She was 76.
Born June 12, 1925, in Indianapolis, she married
Victor C. Lucas Feb. 18, 1947, in Indianapolis. She lived in the South County area for 54 years.
Mrs. Lucas retired June 30, 1986, from the Personnel Department of Puget Power.
She is survived by her husband, Victor C. Lucas of Federal Way; daughters, Debra Brateng of Bothell, Vicki Van Blaricom and Jeri Lucas, both of Federal Way,; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Church of the Good Shepherd in Federal Way.
