Donald P. Heintz
Donald Peter Heintz of Renton died Dec. 10, 2001, in Renton. He was 72.
Born April 27, 1929, in Bowdle, S.D., Mr. Heintz married
Marian Lash in Yakima in July 1952. He graduated from Highline Community College in 1968 with a bachelor's degree in finance, and served in the Coast Guard for two years.
He worked at The Boeing Co. as a financial manager from 1950 to 1991. He belonged to St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Renton, Maplewood Golf Club, the Genealogy Society and the Miata Car Club. He enjoyed watching sports and was involved with family genealogy.
He is survived by his wife, Marian T. Heintz of Renton; son Jeff Heintz of Gig Harbor; brother George Heintz of Glendale, Calif.; sisters Barbara Maston of Federal Way, Genevieve Cox of Seattle, Joylynne Foy of Yakima, and Sister Mary Vera of Yankton, S.D.; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Renton.

Lois C. Oakley
Former Auburn resident Lois C. Oakley of Port Orchard died Dec. 8, 2001, in Port Orchard. She was 86.
Mrs. Oakley was born July 30, 1915, in Canada. She married
Edward Oakley in Detroit. She lived in Auburn for many years.
She worked as an office clerk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Oakley. She is survived by her sons, Richard Oakley of Port Orchard; John Oakley of Tahuya and James Oakley of Sacramento, Calif; daughter Patricia Oakley of Auburn; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Port Orchard.

Wilton C. Snook Jr.
Wilton Clarence Snook Jr., of Skyway died Dec. 8, 2001, in Renton. He was 50.
Born Jan. 5, 1951, in Renton, Mr. Snook graduated from Rainier Beach High School in 1969. He lived in South County for 50 years.
He worked in construction for 10 years, and for Rainier Cold Storage for 8 years. He belonged to Union Local 440, and was a past member of the Teamster Union. He enjoyed fishing, camping and visiting Montana.
He is survived by his son, Ben Snook of Kent; daughter Jennifer Cheney of Auburn; mother Mary J. Snook of Renton; sisters Judy Lynn of Kent and Janice Charawell of Pullman; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Funeral Home in Renton. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton.
Henry Maxwell Evans
Henry Maxwell Evans of Kent died Dec. 10, 2001, in Tukwila. He was 73.
Born April 23, 1928, in Boston, Ark., he served in the Navy and lived in Kent for 51 years.
Mr. Evans retired as a maintenance worker at Color Trim. He enjoyed fishing, traveling in his recreational vehicle and reading.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Evans of Kent; sons James Evans of Whidbey Island and Clifford Evans of Seattle; daughters Sandy Scott of Tuscon, Ariz., Debbie Wilson of Littlerock, Patty Rae Peterson of South Prairie, Robbin DeQuerecoof SeaTac, Chris Marek and Cindy McCarthy, both of Kent, Patty Laitila of Bonney Lake, Karen Evans of Burien, and Cherry Wicks of Lyman; brother Monroe Evans of Prairie Grove, Ark.; sister Agnes ``Lori'' Badowin of Las Vegas; 25 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
No services will be held at this time.

John Cody Bradshaw
John Cody Bradshaw of Maple Valley died Feb. 13, 2002. He was 75.
Born Aug. 7, 1926, in Pryor, Okla., Mr. Bradshaw lived in South County for 22 years.
He was a contractor and a member of the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Maple Valley.
He remarried
after his first wife, Lucille Bradshaw, died in 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Bradshaw of Maple Valley, and his daughter, Debra Merlini of Maple Valley.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Maple Valley. There will be a private cremation.
Memorials may be made to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.

Elina B. Taylor
Elina B. Taylor of Auburn died Feb. 17, 2002. She was 93.
Born April 25, 1908 in Renton, she lived in South County for the past three years. She lived for 30 years on Camano Island and 60 years in Seattle and Renton.
She retired in 1990 after many years of service as a cook at a nursing home.
She enjoyed canning, reading about current events and being with people.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Plute of Camano Island, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be between noon and 5 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home in Renton. A service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, also at Greenwood Funeral Home. A burial will follow at Calvary cemetery in Seattle.

John Mack Zehe
John Mack Zehe of Kent died Feb. 13, 2002. He was 58.
Born July 3, 1943, in Florence, S.C., Mr. Zehe lived in South County for 40 years.
He spent time in the U.S. Navy and was a master mechanic at Duke's Truck Repair in Seattle.
He was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church in Kent, and was a bus driver for the church.
He is survived by his mother, Pearl Bailey Zehe Jones of Florence, S.C.; his wife, Deanna Zehe of Kent; his daughter, Shelley Eytchison of Pacific; his sons, Jerry Beatty of Auburn and Mike Zehe of Seattle; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Galilee Baptist Church in Kent.

Jackie Edward ``Jack'' Peterson
Jackie Edward ``Jack'' Peterson of Renton died Feb. 15, 2002. He was 56.
Born May 30, 1945, in Bethesda, Md., Mr. Peterson came to South King County when he was just 1 year old. He spent time in the U.S. Army and was later a production supervisor for a company that manufactures printers.
He was a member of the Renton Eagles ``21'' Club, the Maplewood Mens Club and the Southside Boosters.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff Peterson of Kent and Scott Peterson of Renton; sister Elaine Nelson of Puyallup, and one grandchild.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from noon to 5 p.m. at Greenwood Funeral Home. A service will be at noon on Wednesday, also at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made at Banner Bank, to the Jack Peterson Memorial Fund. The family will donate the collected fund to the charities of their choice.

Goldie F. Dyer
Goldie F. Dyer of Auburn died in her home on Feb. 14, 2002. She was 88.
Born July 28, 1913, in Missouri, Mrs. Dyer lived in South County for 57 years. She was married
in Burien in 1954 to Forrest Dyer.
She retired in 1978 from a career as a secretary for United Airlines.
She is survived by her husband, Forrest Dyer of Auburn.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Bonney Watson Funeral Home in Federal Way. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Washington Memorial Park in SeaTac.
Arrangements are by Bonney-Watson Federal Way.
Blanche Ione Weaver
Blanche Ione Weaver of Renton died Feb. 15, 2002. She was 88.
Born Oct. 11, 1913, in Nashua, Mont., she made her way to Othello, Wash., then to Kent in 1960. She lived the last year of her life in Renton.
Mrs. Weaver was a homemaker who married
Dale Weaver in 1988. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, visiting Montana and taking care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Weaver of Leavenworth and Ronald Weaver of Renton; daughters Shirlee Leighton of Kent, Karen Mullen of Hermiston, Wash., and Connie Murray of Bothell; sister Marie Haugen of Havre, Mont.; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
There will be a private cremation.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of one's own choice.
