Frank J. LINARELLI

Frank died peacefully at home with his family after a brave fight with lymphoma.
Survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy; sons Ken (Caroline) Linarelli, Larry (Dana) Linarelli and three grandsons; one sister, Anita (Dave) Schierman.
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Frank was a W.W. II veteran in the U.S. Army with five major battle stars in the European theatre.
He worked in the window covering business with Sunglo Shade and Drapery for over 50 years.
Services 12 Noon Monday, December 18, 2000, at Columbia Funeral Home, Seattle. Interment
at Calvary cemetery.

Gloria Vicki LOBBEREGT
Gloria Vicki LOBBEREGT, 77, of Hansville, Washington passed away on December 1, 2000 at Harborview Medical Center. Gloria was born to Christopher Stamatis and Vera Evanoff on Jan 30 1923. She was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia where she also attended high school. Upon graduation she attended and graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle with a teaching degree. She married
Clifford E. Lobberegt,Sr. on August 4, 1947 in Seattle, Washington. Clifford preceded her in death earlier this year. Gloria taught school in the Mt. Vernon and Lake Washington school districts for 30+ years until her retirement. She is survived by her son Clifford E. Lobberegt, Jr. of El Cerritos, California; two daughters, Vikki Lobberegt of Hansville, Washington, Kerry McCracken of Bellevue, Nebraska, four grandchildren, and a sister Shirley Keilty of Fairfax, California. Gloria was a member of the United States Power Squadron, and the Poulsbo Yacht Club. Services will be at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Poulsbo Mortuary Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove. (Obit dated 12/11/2000.)
Mona B. LONG
December 10, 1916 - December 6, 2000
Our cherished mother and dear friend passed away peacefully at Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland, Washington, after battling Parkinson's Disease and cancer with dignity and courage. She was a gentle and gracious lady who loved her family unconditionally and who was passionate about literature, classical music and dance. She also had a keen interest in politics and was a lifelong member of Mizpah no. 30, Eastern Star. Mona was born in Sweet Home, Oregon, the eldest of three daughters of Merel M. and Willard B. Bowser. She graduated as valedictorian of her class at St. Helens High, St. Helens, Oregon, and went on to work for her father in his insurance business. On June 28, 1938, she married
Herbert Hadley Long of Sabetha, Kansas. He preceded her in death in February, 1985. They spent many years in Kodiak, Alaska, where she worked as administrative assistant to the superintendent of schools for fifteen years and the moved on to assist her husband in his office at the Chiniak Tracking Facility. They moved to Bellevue, Washington in the mid-seventies upon retirement. Mona is survived by daughters, Kathleen Collins of Bellevue; Charlotte Davis of Anchorage; son-in-law Marion Davis; grandson Dennis L. Young of Dutch Harbor; granddaughter Kristen Davis of Anchorage; great-grandsons Schuyler and Taylor Young, Dutch Harbor; and sister Imogene (Tom) White of Eugene, OR., and Beverly (Don) Thomas of Lake Oswego, OR. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces. Private family memorial to be held. Russell E. LORENTZEN
Russell E. Lorentzen, 92, of Auburn died on Wednesday, December 13, 2000.
He retired as an electrical utility supervisor for the General Services Administration in 1977 after 37 years.
Vigil Services Sunday at 7 p.m. and Funeral Mass Monday 10 a.m. both in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Auburn.

Lydia Caroline FLIGGE
Age 101, died at Highlands Care Center in Renton on December 5, 2000. She is survived by a daughter-in-law Elizabeth Fligge; granddaughters Karalee Brune and Susan Petree; grandsons Sterling Fligge, Jr. and Kevin Fligge; great-grandchildren Hollin Petree and Amy Work; great-great grandson Walker Petree. Lydia was born in Willow Hill, Pennsylvania where she lived her early years. She married
Frank Fligge in Sisseton, South Dakota before moving to Renton, Washington in 1931. Lydia was a beautiful seamstress and her baking and canning were known for their excellent quality, earning her first place in a cake-baking contest for which she won a Hotpoint Electric Range. Lydia was well known for her charity work, quilt sewing and assisting the local churches with many projects. She maintained a large garden and often fed homeless people that came to her back door. She ran the snack bar at the Renton Auction until she was in her nineties. Funeral Service and burial were held Saturday, December 9, 2000 at Bonneey-Watson Washington Memorial, 16445 Pacific Hwy. S. Born 10/30/1908 in Munising, MI and passed away 12/10/2000 in Bothell, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband Nils Lyshol. Clara is survived by her 2 sons, Gary Lyshol of Port Angeles, Norman Lyshol of Bothell; daughter, Sonya Porter of Freeland, WA; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and her extended family, Dr. Monahan and his 5 children. Edna L. (Wykes) MacPHERSON, 79, passed away December 5, 2000. Edna was born July 31, 1921 in Seattle and graduated from Ballard High in 1940. A life long resident of Seattle, she married
her childhood sweetheart, Stephen H. MacPherson, former Fire Marshall with the Seattle Fire Department. Edna had grace, beauty, a ready wit and enthusiasm for life, especially the Christmas season. A proud wife and mother with a passion for her family, she was preceded in death by her husband and her brother, Joseph "Bud" Wykes. Edna is survived by two sons, Stephen M. (Cathie), James H. (Jena); two sisters, Evelyn Colby, Patricia (Warren) Anderson; sister-in-law, Marge Wykes; two granddaughters, Michelle Leavitt and Amanda Geertson; two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Hana Koriyama MASUDA
Hana Koriyama Masuda, age 85, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Masuda-Laing; son, Tracy Kiyoshi Masuda; grandchildren, Christine Masuda, Rika and Ross Laing; brother, Franklin (Yoshi) Koriyama,; sister, Tama Murotani. Her husband, Minoru Masuda, preceded her in death. Hana was a member of the Japanese Baptist Church, past president of the Nisei Veteran's Auxiliary, Tomonokai and Ikebana International. She was active in many community affairs including JACL and was a volunteer at Seattle Keiro Nursing Home. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, December 12 at 2 p.m. at Butterworth Funeral Home, 300 East Pine, Seattle. Sam-Oeung Long MAXUM
November 2, 1950 - December 11, 2000
Born in Battambong, Cambodia, she fought for her education and became a school teacher. Because her dark skin helped her to blend in with the farmers, and by playing dumb, she was able to survive the genocide. She escaped with a sister and many other family members to Thailand in 1979. She came to Seattle in 1981, where she met and married
Ronald Maxum. She is survived by her sons, Bryan and Daniel; stepson, David (Mary); grandsons, Tristan and Stirling; special niece, Syna Steiger; sister Vann Long of San Diego; and many other family members. She loved children and helped many to survive in Cambodia, while also comforting the dying in her arms. She tutored for two years at Lawton and Viewlands Elementary Schools until funding ran out and her cancer returned. She loved Cambodia and her people and wanted to help the people in Cambodia to support themselves and survive. In lieu of flowers, please send donations for a Cambodian orphanage to Mountain View Community Church, Attn: "Cambodian Ratzloff", 12033 Seattle Hill Road, Snohomish, WA. 98296.
