Helen E. McLEOD of Coeur d'Alene, ID. died December 8, 2000. Born in Eldon, MO., lived for 52 years in Seattle and taught school for 35 years in the Seattle School District.
Survived by husband Ray, son John, daughter Paula, sisters Virginia, Geraldine, Jean, Mildred, and Bernadine.

Robert George METHE
Born August 17, 1922 in Springfield, MA., died December 10, 2000 in Seattle at age 78. He mar ried Bernice Smith May 18, 1952 in Bellingham and they moved to Skyway in 1958 from Seward Park. He worked for Boeing 32 years, retiring in 1984. He served in the Navy during WWII and was a member of Pearl Harbor Survivors Asso ciation; other memberships include Skyway V.F.W. Post #9430, of which he was a lifetime member; Aero Mechanics Local #751; and Sky way Travel Club. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching Mariners games on T.V. He enjoyed gardening, playing with his grandchil dren, and T.V. game shows. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lucille Collina and brother, Paul Methe. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bernice Methe of Seattle; children and their spouses, Robert C. Methe of Renton, Renee L. (& Steven) LeMay of Maple Valley, and Rhonda (& Steven) Yusen of Shoreline; sis ter, Rhea (& Daniel) Weiner; brothers, Ernest (& Irene) Methe, and Phillip (& Irene) Methe; sister-in-law, Alice Methe, all of Springfield, MA.; grandchildren, Alyssa and Mason LeMay, and Hayley and Jenna Yusen. Funeral Services Friday 11 a.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park and Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Tahoma National cemetery. June (Ueda) MIZOGUCHI
Age 79, passed away quietly with family present on 11/28/00 after a long illness. Born 3/6/21 in Puy allup, WA; graduated Fife H.S. 1939. She was a Registered Nurse in IA & WA since 1948. Member, past President and 1997 Woman of the Year, Business & Professional Women (BPW) of Tacoma, member of Tacoma YWCA Board of Directors, member of numerous other religious and charitable organizations. Worked at Har borview Hospital, Seattle,St. Joseph Hospital, Tacoma; King County Blood Bank; US Army Hospital, Germany; Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma as an RN. She lived most of her life in Pierce County. Loved to travel & visited many countries throughout the world. Predeceased by husband Charles. Survivors include daughters Caroline Diamond (Billy), Auburn and Barbara Asahara (David), Seattle; son Mark (Kimberly), Auburn; sisters Ruth Sugai and Sadie O'Leary, NY; Kiyo Hiatt, FL; Mary Yee, Seattle; brother Herbert Ueda, NH; and four grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her many friends & loved ones. Funeral Service and internment were held at New Tacoma cemetery on 12/4/2000. (Obit dated 12/10/2000.)
Elizabeth Griffiths MOLITOR
Elizabeth 'Libby' Molitor, died on December 12, 2000 in Bellevue, Washington at the age of 89. Elizabeth was born and raised in the Seattle area. She was the only daughter of Stanley and Elsa Griffiths, of the Griffiths family, a Seattle pioneer family in the marine and shipping industry. Elizabeth's grandfather, Captain James Griffiths founded Griffiths Steamship Co., Winslow Marine Shipyard and James Griffiths & Sons. Elizabeth attended Saint Nicholas School and graduated from the University of Washington where she received a degree in the literature and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She quenched her passion for fine art and porcelain through her extensive international travel and volunteer work as a docent at the Seattle Art Museum. Elizabeth became a SAM staff member in the mid 1950's where she worked until her retirement in 1980. She was instrumental in establishing the Museum Gift Shop. She was extremely active in the Eagleson Guild at Children's Orthopedic Hospital, as well as the Porcelain Society and the Decorative Arts Guild of the Seattle Art Museum. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her hus band, Frank; son, Stanley; and brothers, James and Churchill Griffiths. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Elsa Leatherman; sons, Jerry and John; daughters-in-law, Mary Ann, Carol, and Susan; son-in-law, Bob Leatherman; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The Molitor family invites you to celebrate Elizabeth's life with them at Sacred Heart Church in Bellevue, Washington on Saturday, December 16 at 11 a.m. Also, a Rosary Service will be held, Friday, December 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Butterworth Funeral Home on Capital Hill, 300 East Pine, Seattle. Born July 23, 1914 - Died December 1, 2000 Retired Bookkeeper, born July 23 in Seattle, living most of her childhood and adult life in Seattle. Mrs. Morelan was a member of Olympic Chapter #216 OES, Bremerton and a lifetime member of the Stanwood Area Historical Society and Puget Sound Bonsai Association. She is survived by her daughter, Carole E. Chalk; grandchildren, Brooks R. Fenton of Des Moines, Jeffrey W. Fenton of Des Moines, Synette L. Melluzzo of Rainier and Quinn A. Chalk of Gig Harbor; stepchildren, Anita Mae Thelander of Renton, Bruce D. Morelan of West port and Walter L. Morelan. Mrs. Morelan was predeceased by husband, Harold Lester Morelan, September 22, 1999 and grandson, Sean Scott Fenton of Gig Harbor. At Mrs. Morelan's request, no Services will be held. Interment

Roy Louis NEFF
On November 22, 2000 Roy Louis Neff lost his 13 year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Born on October 27, 1942 in Beloit, Kansas to Charles Louis and Iva Marie (Wright) Neff, Dad grew up on a small farm in Glen Elder with his sister Alice. Dad leaves behind numerous family members and friends. At his request, no funeral services will be held. Gunhild Elizabeth NELSON
Went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2000. She died peacefully with her family after a long illness. She is survived by her three devoted daughters, Carol Howard, Karen Nelson and Carla Peterson; niece Gloria Sands; grandchildren, Erik, Inger, Elizabeth, Linda, Annie, Gunnar and Ollie; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Briana, Andrew and Michael. Gunhild had many special family members living in her beloved Sweden. She was born in Malmo, Sweden July 12, 1911 and immigrated to the United States at the age of three with her parents to settle in Seattle. She was a proud member of the Restaurant Union Local 8 for 50 years and was employed with the Swedish Club for many years. In 1933 Gunhild was crowned the Ellensburg Rodeo Queen; she was also Miss Seattle representing the Chamber of Commerce. She was a recognized Northwest Watercolor Artist who found beauty in flowers, clouds, the sun, nature and all of mankind having great compassion for others. Gunhild was thrilled to make a voyage home to Sweden this past summer to reunite with the family she did not know she had (now, mother, you find out what happened to our lost luggage on our once-in-a-lifetime trip!) Her nieces and nephews were delighted to meet their only Aunt Gunhild in their family. Gunhild found beauty in everything and always had a positive outlook and a wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed by each of those who had the good for tune of knowing her. WALK IN PEACE, OUR DEAR SWEET. MOTHER, IN YOUR FINAL JOURNEY TO THE LORD! Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 9 at 1 p.m. at Washelli cemetery in Seattle. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the 914 & Fremont Medical Unit. Esther T. NESS
Age 92. passed away December 7, 2000. She was born January 26, 1908 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and had lived in the area for the past 61 years. She was a 50 year member of the Crown Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, she was also a 50 year member of DAR-Rainier Chapter. She was the valedictorian of her graduating class from West Allis High School. She is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. She enjoyed traveling the world. Locally she was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and she remained active with friends and social groups to her final days. She is survived by her children, Richard Ness and Margaret Cladek, along with three grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Monday December 11, at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 6701 30th Avenue Southwest. Interment

Patrick Joseph O'HEARN
A Washington Native and the 5th of five children born to James B. and Bridgetta A. O'Hearn on April 23, 1932 and raised in Bellingham, WA. From High School on, he lived in the greater Seattle area where he finished his education at Seattle University graduating in 1959. He served some time in Korea with the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. Our loving father spent the remainder of his life faithfully with family and work. Pat raised up his nine children with the love of his life, Ernestine L. (Greer) O'Hearn. He is survived by his children: Anna, Mary, John, Kate, Jim, Patty, Joe, Mike and Rose, as well as his wife: Tena. He is also survived by two of his big brothers: Emmett and Fred and his big sister: Cecilia Fox. His eldest brother, Big Jim, passed on before him. Work involved teaching elementary-aged children to whom he devoted his life as a Bellevue School District educator for 30 years. Pat passed away Thursday evening, December 7, 2000 after a long battle with metastatic colon cancer at home with his wife at his side. He was diagnosed with cancer more than six years ago, and lived far longer than doctors had expected. A Mass for Pat was held Wednesday, December 13, 2000 at 11 a.m. at St. John Vianney Parish, 12600 - 84th Ave. N.E., Kirkland, WA. 98034, (located on Finn Hill.) (Obit dated 12/14/2000.)
Ernest Phillip OSTERHOUT
Born December 6, 1920 in Seattle, died peaceful ly at home in his sleep surrounded by his family on December 7, 2000. He is survived by his be loved wife of 56 years, Vernita; daughters Nancy Osterhout and Gayle Childs, son-in-law Larry Childs; grandchildren Jeffrey (Shelia), Lorianne, Michael Childs, and Devon (Erin) Lake; and 4 great-granddaughters. Also survived by his brother Frederick Osterhout. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janene. He served his country in the Armed Forces between 1941 and 1962. He touched many lives in his work with A.A. He was much loved by the friends he made in the antique and collectible circuit. Ernie O - you will be missed.
