Born January 27, 1950. He went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2000.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Faith, daughters Rita, Alethia, Angel, Sarah, and Renee and sons John, Brian and Benjamin.

Rene K. WEED a.k.a. Rene Patrick

Born Rene Leona Kirkpatrick November 12, 1915 in Seattle. Rene died peacefully in her home on November 30, 2000. A professional dancer and teacher in the 30s and 40s, Rene was married to Willard Weed in 1948 who preceded her in death on August 13, 2000. Willard and Rene touched many lives with their kind spirits. Rene enjoyed skiing, camping, and boating with her family. She is survived by her daughter Patrice and husband Don Shearer of Sammamish; grandsons Kristopher and Timothy Pehrson; sisters Jeanne Kerr of Kirkland and Anne Fitchett of Burien and sister-in-law Carrie Wade of Bigfork, MT. Services for Willard and Rene will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 5515 Phinney Ave. N., Seattle at 12 noon on Saturday, December 16, 2000. Memorials may be made to the Everett Symphony Orchestra, 1507 Wall Street, Everett, 98201 and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 701 N. 43rd, Seattle, 98103. (Obit dated 12/12/2000.)

Florence M. WELLS

Born in Snohomish, Washington on May 20, 1918 passed away in Seattle on December 4, 2000. Her Husband Dale F. Wells of Olympia preceded her in death. Graduated from Ballard High School in 1936. Worked for State Department of Motor Vehicles in Olympia for 20 years. She moved to Seattle in 1986. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Erickson of Seattle, brother, Robert. G. Eberle of Olympia and six nieces and nephews, nine great neices and nephews and two great great nephews. No Services planned. Remembrances to your favorite charity. (Obit dated 12/10/2000.)

Ruby Scheuerman WELLS

Born January 6, 1903 in Seattle, WA, passed away on December 5, 2000 in Seattle, WA. Ruby was a member of a pioneer Seattle family. Her grandfather, Christian Scheuerman built a log cabin in Seattle, (in the community of Lawtonwood) in 1875. Ruby lived most of her life at the family home, although sixteen years ago she and her husband, Neil L. Wells (Neil died in 1991) moved to Bainbridge Island, Wa. Ruby graduated from Ballard High School, class of 1921, and then the University of Washington and operated her own school in Lawtonwood that included both preschool and elementary grades. Ruby is survived by many cousins and other friends that loved her. A memorial service to celebrate Ruby's life will be held at Evergreen-Washelli, 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle, WA, on Thursday, December 14th, 2000 at 12noon. Ruby we love you and miss you. Memorials in Ruby's name may be given to Children's Orthopedic Hospital. (Obit dated 12/11/2000.)

Bess L. WERBERGER

Born Spencerville Oklahoma, passed away 4 December 2000 after a 12 year battle with Alzheimer's.
Bess will be interred with her husband, William F. Werberger, in Arlington National cemetery.

Vern Edwin WHITE

Vern Edwin White passed away December 5, 2000 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene, Oregon. Vern was born May 11, 1923 in Veronica, Oregon and was the youngest of nine children. Vern is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet White; his three children, Thomas, Stevan and Daniel; and his ten grandchildren, Adam, Christopher, Shaughnessy, Veronica, Kiernan, Max, Kathryn, Arin, Malia and Jayseph. He is also survived by his brother, Jack White; and his sister, Jeannette Dayton of Medford, Oregon. Vern was a proud veteran of World War II where he served in the South Pacific. He was a successful plumbing contractor in Oregon, California, and Hawaii for over 30 years. Vern's love for people and compassion was felt by all who met him. He always was ready for any adventure and would reach out to those less fortunate than he. Vern always kept the past alive with his colorful stories filled with anecdotes. Vern touched many lives with his indomitable spirit, strength of character and sense of humor. His devotion to his family and love for life inspired many. His spirit will live on forever in each of us that knew and loved him. A Memorial Service will be held in Eugene and will be followed by a full military ceremony in Medford, Oregon. Jerald E. WIBLEMO

Age 72, passed away December 4, 2000.
preceded in death by his wife Joan and parents Audrae and Gus, and brother Ronnie.
Survived by daughters Monica Reinisch, Connie Dosing, Toni Wiblemo; son Mark Wiblemo; grandchildren Melinda, Ashlea, and Alex; sisters Marilyn, Anne, Carol; brother Andy.

Marjorie WIDITZ

Marjorie Widitz, born January 23, 1911, passed away December 1, 2000 following an illness. Born in Seattle, she lived her entire life in West Seattle, other than a short time as a child in Tacoma. She was preceded in death by her son Thomas and beloved husband Jack. Marjorie is survived by son, Norman (Pam); nephew Leo nard Wheeler, and his children, Lee Wheeler (Susan) and Lizanne Wheeler (Pat Brown). Marjorie retired from US West Communications (Qwest) in 1976. She was a past member of Daughters of the Nile and West Seattle Garden Club. She volunteered with and was employed by Children's Orthopedic Hospital. Following retirement, she traveled extensively and en joyed many years of volunteer work at the Puget Sound Blood Center. She took great pride in her lovely home and thoroughly enjoyed working in her yard. She will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered by her many friends, family and lifelong friends who were truly extended family. Memorial Service will be held December 14, 11 a.m. West Side Presbyterian Church, 3601 California Avenue Southwest. Family suggests remembrances in Marjorie's name to Washing ton Talking Book and Braille Library, 2021 9th Avenue, Seattle, WA. 98121 or Puget Sound Blood Center, 921 Terry Avenue, Seattle, WA. 98104. She is survived by her loving family.

Harvey E. WILLIAMS

Age 76, passed away December 6, 2000 at home after a battle with cancer. He resided in Mountlake Terrace, WA. for 37 years, formerly of Spokane, WA. Survived by wife, Helen of 54 years; son, Scott Williams; daughters, Debbie Arreola and Ann Bennett; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was very active in Masters Senior Track & Field Sports. Memorial Service to be held Friday, December 15, 2 p.m. at Westgate Chapel, Edmonds, WA. Alvhild Melver WINDER

Born May 5, 1911 in Seattle and died December 4, 2000 in Seattle - musician, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, neighbor, traveler. She was a member of Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church, the American Guild of Organists, and a life member of The Mountaineers. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Winder and son-in-law Larry Howard of Seattle; sister Margaret Dakan of Edmonds, brother Roald and sister-in- law Elsie Melver of Greenbank, Whidbey Is land; sister-in-law Brita Winder of Issaquah; two nieces and four nephews; 15 grand nieces and nephews; and her first cousins both here and in Norway. Service will be held on Monday, December 11, 3:00 P.M. at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church, 7500 Greenwood Ave. N. Seattle, 98103. Memorials may be given to Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church; The Mountaineers Foundation, P.O. Harold Gordon WRITER

Died December 7, 2000 shortly after his 86th birthday. Born in Middleburg, Florida, he grew up in Naches where he attended school and married Irene Baker. They moved to north Seattle where they raised two children, Jerry and Linda. Harold was a Corporal in the Marines and an artillery instructor serving in the Hawaiian Islands. He was a 50-year member of Carpenters Local 131, working in the floor finishing business. Harold was well known for his kite making skills and was a member of the Washington Kite Flyers and the Drachen Foundation. In the early years of Channel 9, he also had a weekly kite show. His other interests included natural science, birds, hand loading, trains and all things mechanical. Linda of Federal Way, Jerry and wife Mary of Bellingham and grandson, Alan of Tucson, Arizona survive him. Remembrances may be made to a charity of choice. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Bleitz Funeral Home, preceded by a Graveside Committal Service at 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen-Washelli cemetery. (Obit dated 12/12/2000.)

Jessie YAZZOLINO

Long time Bellevue resident passed away on December 6 at the age of 96.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Rock, her sons Sam & Frank, 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren & 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 13 at St. Louise Catholic Church in Bellevue at 11:00 AM.

Agnes ZIRKLE

In loving memory of Agnes Zirkle beloved mother, grandmother and friend who is with the Lord following a long arduous illness. Agnes died December 10, 2000. Agnes Sherberg was born June 25, 1927 in Mis soula, MT. She later moved with her family to Bremerton, WA. where she met and married her late husband, John Zirkle. In 1956 they moved to Seattle and Renton where they raised their two children and started a construction company. Agnes is survived by her two daughters, Lori Carmody of Issaquah and Darlene Andertan of Kent; her five grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. Agnes greatest joys were being with her family and enjoying her five grandchildren whether she was babysitting or cheering at ballgames. She also loved her church, friends and water aerobics. We will miss her encouraging words, generosity to others and her faith example. Mass will be held Thursday, December 14 at 11 a.m. - St. Pauls of Seattle, Washington. Vigil Service will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home, Kent, Washington - Wednesday, December 13 at 7:30 p.m. Viewing will be Wednesday 12 - 7 p.m. at Marlatt Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Gethsemane cemetery following Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Society of St. Vincent de Paul. (Obit dated 12/14/2000.)

Elsie Jean ZUMDIECK

Age 84, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2000 at her home in Seattle. She was born June 8, 1916 to James and Elsie McGinley in Ballard. She is survived by her husband of 60 years J. Fred Zumdieck and her five children John (Sharon) Zumdieck, Gwen (Mick) McDonald, Marie (Hugh) Fowler, Jane (Dale) Reubish, and Paul (Jerry) Zumdieck; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and her sister Frances M. Roll. She was a lifetime resident of Ballard whose door was always open to friends and family. There will be no service at her request. The family asks that any memorial gifts be sent to Swedish Hospice or Medic One. (Obit dated 12/13/2000.)
