Floyd S. DAHL
Floyd was born March 13, 1926 and passed away peacefully April 1, 2001. Floyd was born in Union, Utah. He served in WWII as a tank crewman in U.S. Army under General Patton and fought at the Battle of the Buldge. Floyd worked 30 years for Boeing. After retirement worked for IPTN in Bandung, Indonesia. Floyd's passion in life was golf and his motto in life was "if you golf, you are my friend". Floyd is survived by his sister, Sandra Marks; brother Gary Dahl; stepchildren Janice Thompson, Deanna Wildes, Linda Logan, James Burlingame, Jack Goodin, Jimmy Goodin; and 11 grandchildren, along with numerous friends and golf partners. Formally of Renton and Auburn died Tuesday, April 3, 2001 in Arlington, VA. She was born February 7, 1910 in Ravensdale, WA. Beloved wife of the late Thomas S. Dobson of Renton. Loving mother of Richard S. Dobson, Florissant, MO., Martha E. Brower, Ft. Washington, MD. and the late Thomas E. Dobson. Devoted grand mother of 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Sherm DONAHUE
Sherm DONAHUE, 70, of Buckley passed away April 3, 2001. A truck driver who bred and raced horses for over 20 years, Mr. Donahue served in the Coast Guard as a young man and was a member of VFW, Teamsters Union, Washington Horse Breeders Association and St. Andrews Catholic Church. He also enjoyed bowling and deep sea fishing. Survivors include his wife, Joan; children, Jeff (Debbie) Donahue of Jefferson, OR., Sharla (Gary) Perreault of Buckley and Chris (Deb bie) Donahue of Renton; sister, Patricia (Ernie) Heinz of Renton and 11 grandchildren. preceded in death by daughter Joni Young. He left many loving friends. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Diabetic Association or Franciscan Hospice. Max William ECKENBURG
Max William ECKENBURG, 84, of Camano Island passed away April 6, 2001 at home. He was born May 17, 1916 in Everett, Washington. Prior to moving to Camano Island with his wife Carol, they lived in Chesaw for 10 years. As a child, Max lived in logging camps in the Hoquiam area and as a teenager he lived in Oregon logging camps where he attended high school. Growing up he was part of the Civil Conservation Corps. He attended college in Bellingham and in California. Max worked for the Forest Service, was a Boeing engineer during the war and as a ranger at Camp Sheppard near Enumclaw. He will be remembered as an inspirational leader of many young scouts and a mountain man without equal. Max leaves his wife, Carol P. Hull of Camano Island; daughter Susan Eckenburg of Arizona; step-son Donald and his wife Deborah Smith of Arlington; two step-daughters, Cathie and her husband Craig Helgeland of Camano Island, and Ramie Smith of Seattle; three grandchildren; and his dog Penny. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael and his sister and brother. Services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2001 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills. Interment

Born June 30, 1929 in Connell, Washington. passed away April 1, 2001. Proceeded by his Parents Kenneth Phillip and Ella Permelia Edwards. He served in the United States Air Force 1953 to 1957. John J. "Bud" ELLIOTT, Sr.
Born April 7, 1920 in Seattle, WA. passed away April 1, 2001 in Burien. Bud is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret; sons: David (Karen), John, Jr. (Irma), Steven (Jackie); grandchildren: Shane, Dustin, Danny, Erika; great-grandchildren: Amanda, Bailey, Dustin, Jr., Maci, Jordan and Dalton. Bud was proud of his Navy service during W.W. II. Bud worked for the US Post Office for 34 years and was a member of the Burien RV Club and loved to travel. Bud was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Age 86, of Seattle. Died April 8, 2001 at Pacific Regent in Bellevue. Life member of Seattle Yacht Club and avid boater for over sixty years. She also loved to collect antiques. Elle was preceded in death by her husband Dan N. in 1985. She is survived by her children Dan Jr. (Marta), Timothy (Sharon), Angela Scalzo (Steve), sister, Bernie Ann Tew and grandchildren, Dan III, MaryAnn, Tim Jr., Roderick, Alicia, Shelley, Annemarie. Roberta E. FISCHER
Born in Minneapolis on December 12, 1915, passed away April 3, 2001 in Seattle. She graduated from South High. In 1941, she came to Seat tle where she and Frederick were married
. They built a home on Portage Bay and she was known for her daily hikes over the University Bridge. She was an active volunteer on the schooner, Wawona, and in the Eikenberry Children's Orthopedic Hospital Guild. She enjoyed decades of sailing aboard the yacht, Red Dog, and many travels abroad. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Fred; her daughter Nancy Fischer; a niece Betty Goldman of Los Angeles and two nephews Bob and Clarence Neale of Saratoga, CA. We love and miss you. Barbara Joyce FORT JONES
Our daughter, sister, aunt and loving friend was called home suddenly on March 23rd, 2001 at the age of 57. Barbara was born November 18th, 1943 and grew up in Seattle, WA. After attending the University of Washington for two years, Barbara moved to San Francisco in 1964. For approximately 14 years Barbara worked as an Administrative Assistant for program serving Bay area children and adults with mental retardation. She made many life-long friends while working for this organization. She completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley and completed her law degree at Boalt Hall School of Law, UC Berkeley in 1978. Shortly thereafter, Barbara moved to Denver, CO. to join the law firm of Sherman & Howard where she practiced for 13 years and made full part ner. Barbara moved back to the Bay area in 1993 where she lived out the rest of her life. Her light, her spirit and devotion to family and friends will be missed so very much. She touched so many lives with her kindness, her loyalty and love for those she cared the most about. Barbara was our hero. Her mother, Casey Smith; her sisters Susan, Jane and Judith; her brothers Thomas, Charles, Michael, Karl and Gregory; as well as 4 nephews and 6 nieces and many close friends survive her. preceded in death by her father, Wendall R. Smith in 1991. Although dates have not yet been determined, memorial services will take place in San Francisco and in Seattle. Jeanne M. (Trombley) FOX
Jeanne M. (Trombley) Fox, 73, died April 7 in her Bainbridge Island home. She was born November 7, 1927, in Minneapolis, MN., and moved to Seattle with her family in 1938. She graduated from Lincoln High School. She married
Dale Fox in 1948, and moved to Bainbridge Island. She co-owned Esther's Fabric Store in Winslow 1969-1986, was a longtime member of Wing point Golf and Country Club, and was a charter member of the Betty B. Nickum Children's Hospital Guild. She is survived by her husband; mother-in-law, Esther Fox; daughters Penny (Tom) Lamping, and Becky Fox Marshall; grandchildren Kate and David Lamping; and Abby and Claire Marshall, all of Bainbridge Island; sisters Joyce (Dane) Stanton of Shelton and Janice Schimming (and Gator Clough) of Grants Pass, OR; brother Bruce (Donna) Trombley of Sequim, and many nieces and nephews. Services are 2:30 p.m. April 14 at Eagle Harbor Congregational Church, Bainbridge Island, Memorials to Children's Hospital or Hospice of Kitsap County.
William H. FREDERICK
Born January 1, 1918 in Sterling, Kansas. passed away on April 2, 2001 in Mercer Island, Washington. Devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Former engineer on the Alaskan railroad. Retired purchasing agent. Bill was an Elder at Beacon Hill Presbyterian Church where he and his wife Louise were faithful members for almost 50 years. Bill enjoyed his bible study group and family gatherings at Birch Bay. Bill is survived by his loving wife Louise of 57 years, his children Patti Waite (Tom), Jim Frederick (Barb), grandchildren Christina, Molly, Lizzy, Reid, and Alan, sister Doris Gill. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, TX., on February 8, 1911.
Survived by his wife Altoona two sons, Heyward Jr. and Rhett, three grandchildren: Christopher, Brett and Corey and one great-grandchild, C'Moni.
