Lawrence Lee ODLE

Age 85, died peacefully Tuesday morning April 3, 2001 of cancer. Born in Seattle July 6, 1915 to Lawrence and Mary Isabella (Anderson) Odle. Graduated from Edmonds High School and studied music at University of Washington playing tube in band, the highlight being the band's trip to the 1937 Rose Bowl. A major in the Army Air Corps during WWII, Lee met and married Helga Rohrig in Berlin, his wife of 53 years who passed away in 1999. Lee's main work was with the U.S. Agency for International Development, and from 1956 until he retired in 1975 he served in Afghanistan, India, Iran, Vietnam, Brazil and Washington D.C. His retirement years were happily passed with Helga at Sandy Hook on Whidbey Island, Shelter Bay near La Conner and Maui, Hawaii playing his string bass with Thalia, Skagit Valley and Maui Symphonies, reading and gardening. he remained an avid UW football fan. Lee is survived by daughter Bettina (Michael) Nordby and grandchildren Kira, Kent and Gina of Lake Forest Park and son Lawrence Lee, Jr. (Carmen) Odle and grandchildren Kevin and Andrea of Seattle. Four younger siblings also survive: Bob Odle of Seattle, Charlotte Butler of Sylmar, CA, Kay Warren of Bothell and Jim Odle of Clinton as well as five nieces and nine nephews. He will always be lovingly remembered by family and friends as sociable and humorous, warm and generous, dutiful and just. At his request there will be no memorial service. The cremated remains of Lawrence Lee Odle will be scattered by the family in places he loved best. (Obit dated 04/08/2001.)

George "Jake" OPACICH, 74, died April 1, 2001. Survived by wife, Florine; son Joe, daughter Gina; grandson, Carlos (Kim); brother Andy (Bev). Private Graveside Services. Helen Marie PALLECHIO

Helen Marie PALLECHIO, 84 of Federal way, passed away April 8, 2001. She was born January 22, 1917 in Roseglen, North Dakota. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Colvin, sons Richard R. Pallechio, Tom Pallechio, sisters, Esther Balmes, Rose Richardson, Othelia Hersrud, brothers, Art Sprenger, Jake Sprenger, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation is 3 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 at Yahn & Son Funeral Home in auburn. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11 at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Federal Way, with burial at Riverton Crest cemetery in Tukwila.

Myra Jean PEDDY

Myra Jean PEDDY, 81 of Lynnwood died April 3, 2001 at an area hospital. Myra was an employee of the Sno-Isle Regional Library System for the past 10 years. She previously resided in Lansing, IL. for 30 years. Myra is survived by daughters: Julie Peddy & Beverly "Bunny" Jaggers of Nevada. Sons: Jerry Peddy of Lowell, IN., and Robert Peddy, six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Ronald Peddy, sister Evelyn Gristen, and granddaughter Kimberly Miller Tagupa. The Celebration of Life Service will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2001 at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, Lynnwood. Myrtle B. PETERSON

Our dear "Aunt Myrtle", 91 passed away April 5, 2001 after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. Born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho to Samuel and Hannah Hansen Peterson, she later moved to Seattle and began a career in the insurance business, retiring in 1978 as manager of the bond department at Marsh & McLennan Companies. She served as president of the Insurance Women's Association of Seattle in 1969-70. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Peterson, and two sisters, Cora Robbins and Mae Barendregt; and is survived by three generations of loving nieces and nephews to whom she was devoted. A lifelong Lutheran, she valued her Norwegian heritage and her church "family" Bethel Lutheran Church of Shoreline. Memorial Services will be held there on Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at 1 p.m., 17418 - 8th N.E., Seattle, WA. Remembrances may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church of Shoreline. John Tulio PISANO

Age 77, passed away April 4, 2001 of cancer. Born in Brooklyn, New York to Rose and John Pisano, he is survived by his sons: John (Lisa) of Idaho, and Walter (Deborah) of Seattle; his grandchildren Jennifer, Eli, and Audrey; as well as several nieces and nephews. A lifelong New Yorker and restaurateur, John had been 'visiting' Seattle since 1987 when he moved here with his wife, Flora who passed away in 1993. A self-proclaimed survivor, his credits include the Depression when he served in the Civilian Conservation Corp, The Battle of the Bulge, and the 30 years of commuting through New York's Port Authority. John loved gardening, Pasta Fagioli, Frank Sinatra, and his family. He will truly be missed. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, April 9 at Wiggen & Sons Funeral Home, 2003 NW 57th, Seattle, WA. 98107. (Obit dated 04/06/2001.)

James (Ken) POTTER

Born in Congo, Ohio in 1921, passed away in Seattle, April 6, 2001. He served with the U.S. Navy Seabees during W.W. II. Graduated from Otterbien College in 1950. His teaching and college administration career included Muskingum College; I.T.T. in Ohio, Washington and California; upon retirement he moved back to Seattle. Ken is survived by his sister Jenelle Norland, Columbus, OH., also three nephews and a niece. Memorial Service, Thursday April 12, 2001 at 4 p.m. EVERGREEN WASHELLI FUNERAL HOME 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle In lieu of flowers Memorials suggested to American Cancer Society or Donor's favorite charity.

Melvin "Mel" J. PRUEITT

Of Bothell, died April 1, 2001 at age 88. Survived by wife, Frances Prueitt of Bothell, daughter, Fredda Lehan and husband, Robert G. of Kirk land, WA., three grandchildren, Melissa Pierce and husband, Jason of Monroe, WA., John Prueitt of Renton, Robyn Prueitt and husband, David Chanbliss of Dallas, Texas; preceded in death by son, Don whose wife Anne is also a survivor. Funeral Service Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Green's Kirkland Chapel and interment in Kirkland City cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Bothell Medic One. (Obit dated 04/04/2001.)

Jerry Alexander RABB

Born November 5, 1944, in Haynesville, LA. He was the seventh child born to the union of Rev. James W. Rabb Sr. and Ida D. Green. Jerry Rabb attended school in Haynesville until his family migrated to Seattle when he was seven years old. He finished his schooling in Seattle, graduating from Franklin Senior High. Soon af ter graduation, Jerry joined the U.S. Air Force. After completing his tour of duty, from which he was honorably discharged, he worked for Church's Chicken Franchise in Long Beach, CA. in a managerial capacity. He returned to Seattle in 1976, and worked as a cement mason in Local 528 until his health forced him to retire in 1998. He is preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. and Mrs. James W. Rabb, Sr., and his brothers McHenry, Theodore, and James Jr. (Billy). He is survived by his wife Vonda P. Rabb, siblings Johnnie Miller, Glynn Sewer, Gloria Sargent, Luther Rabb, Wanda Johnson, Jackie Rabb, Wayne Rabb, Dawn Rabb and Sharon Muhammed, and an aunt Luvenia Glasper, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1634 - 19th Ave, on Tuesday, April 10, at 1 p.m. (Obit dated 04/08/2001.)

Dorothy RESEBURG

Born in Minot, ND, September 9, 1915, passed away April 1, 2001 after a brief illness. Survived by her son Bill and daughter-in-law Jean of Seattle; grandchildren Sarah and John; and brother Tom and sister-in-law Louise Questad of Portland, OR. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Reseburg, Jr. in March 2000 and by her son Scott in 1987. Dorothy was raised with her seven brothers and sisters on a farm in North Dakota, and moved to Seattle in 1940, where she met Walt. Some of Dorothy's fondest memories were during their early years in Mt. Baker Park Presbyterian Church, where they were married and made lifelong friends. During World War II, they spent time in both North Carolina and Kentucky while Walt was in the Army. They moved to Wedgwood in 1948. Dorothy always had "room for one more" at the table, in the family Rambler station wagon, and in the pool. She always made everyone feel at home. She was a proud, doting and picture-toting Grandma, and we will miss her dearly. "Always think positive," she used to say. Family Services will be held with interment at Acacia Memorial Park in Seattle. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made in Dorothy's name to the Children's Home Society of WA, PO Box 15190, Seattle, WA 98115. Wendell K. RICHARDS

Born June 3, 1922, in Chelsea, Michigan; died March 30, 2001. preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Kathleen Richards and his dear son, Robin J. Richards. Survived by his sons, Kim (Heidi) and Kerry (Jan) and his grandchildren Kelly, Heather, Morgan, Devin and Peter and many nieces and nephews. His surviving brother, Bryce, resides in Arizona. Wendell was comforted in his last weeks by his many long time friends. A 1940 Roosevelt High School graduate, he was a supporter for the Roosevelt Golden Grads. He was a retired sales representative for Skil Corp and before that, for Seattle Hardware. There was no golf course he was not willing to play and no tomato plant unworthy of his nurture. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, but more importantly, the family picnics and friends who could enjoy the bounty of his gardens. He was an honest and loving man of great charity. His sons gave him the daughters he and Keenie always wanted. Most of all he cherished his grandchildren who brought him boundless joy and love. His friends loved his sense of humor, coupled with a keen mind and equally great sense of devotion. Memorial Services shall be held at Bellevue First Congregational Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2001. (Obit is from 04/03/2001 to 04/04/2001.)

Edwin L. ROBBINS

In Loving Memory of Edwin L. Robbins June 21, 1925 to March 31, 2001 He served in the Army, Air Force, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines from 1945 to 1968. He was a Queen Anne resident for 32 years. Survived by loving wife Susan of 32 years, stepdaughter Marion (Tony) Schmidt, grandchildren Derek and Traci Schmidt of Walla Walla, WA. and Bruce Cakebread, Jr. of Sand Point, ID., niece Theodora (Teddy) McBee of Seattle, sister-in-law Rose Bobb and family of Lynden, Alice Oleman and family of Shalath, BC. and Violet Peters and family of Mount Currie, BC. Edwin was an avid stamp collector and loved walking and painting. He will be greatly missed. Viewing will be Friday, March 6 at 1 p.m. and services will be Monday, March 9 at 11 a.m., both at Arthur A. Wright Funeral Home, 520 W. Raye St., Seattle, (206) 282-5500 with burial to follow at Mt. E. Gordon ROBERTS
April 10, 1917 to March 18, 2001

Gordon was a native of Seattle, growing up on Queen Anne Hill. Beloved husband of Barbara for 63 yrs. this June. He is missed by his devoted family, Nancy and John Butte of Lopez Island, Joy and Roger Neubauer of Burian, Heather and Steve Hoskins of Bothell, and grandchildren Kevin and Jason Neubauer, and Jessica and Theodore Butte. Gordon graduated from Queen Anne High School.He served with the Army Engineers in Berlin during World War II. An instructor in the Possesion Sound Power Squadron, Gordon was an active boater for many years. Friends will remember his pen and ink calendar drawings. Private family memorial service will be held on Vashon Island where Gordon spent his summers as a boy. Remembrances may be made to Stevens Healthcare Oncology Services. (Obit dated 04/08/2001.)
