Norma Gildersleeve PEYCKE
Norma Peycke was born in Sacramento, California in 1932 and passed away on May 31, 2001.
She is survived by sons Daniel and Douglas as well as daughter-in-law Kathy, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She will be missed by all.

Doris Howe PHILIPS
Doris Howe PHILIPS died peacefully at home, on May 30th, after a short illness. Born to Samuel and Gertrude Hender Howe on April 29th, 1906, Doris spent her childhood on the large family farm in Mansfield, Illinois, before joining her older sister in Seattle in 1924. She attended the University of Washington, where she was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. While at school, she met Richard T. Philips of Tacoma, whom she married
on May 11th, 1927. The couple settled in Seattle, where Doris was active in the Decouvrir Club, Haller Lake Methodist Church and P.E.O. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her son, Richard H. Philips, and survived by daughter Martha Schilling of Walla Walla, daughter-in-law Suzanne Philips of Seattle, granddaughters Janet Mowery of Kensington, California, Nancy Schilling of San Diego, grandsons Peter Philips and Christopher Philips both of Seattle, and great granddaughters Madeleine and Emily Philips. Mabel R. POMARLEAU, Age 87, passed away June 1, 2001 in Seattle, WA.

The last of her generation, passed away June 1, 2001 at the age of 89. Survived by her sons, Richard 'Dick' (& Genie) Potter of Shoreline and Duane 'Bud' (& Carol) Potter of Fountain Valley, CA; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Graveside Service Friday, June 8 at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park. Please meet at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home by 12:45 p.m. for a procession to the gravesite. Norman Edward RAMBO
Born 3/24/1915 in Des Moines, Iowa to Haven and Pauline Rambo. Died 5/19/2001 in Seattle, age 86 years. Survived by wife Rita; and children Vicki Young (Steve) of Redwood City, Calif., Christie Roundy (Bruce) of Kirkland; and Douglas Rambo (Patti) of Seattle. Grandchildren Evan and Eric Willey, Greg and Jennifer Isaacson, Dana and Luke Rambo. Graduated from Ballard High School Class of 1933. Honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. While music was Norm's passion, to pay the bills, he entered into a special relationship - which lasted 40 years - with the Northern Pacific Railroad. Some of Norm's lifelong activities included President of the Seattle Chorale, Seattle Opera Chorus (also built sets for the Opera). Choir Director for approximately 20 years (total) at Wallingford EUB Church, Seaview United Methodist Church and Admiral Congregational Church. Active in community theatre all over Puget Sound. Was "Mr. Totem" at Totem Theatre in West Seattle where he acted, promoted, built scenery, sold tickets and was Box Office Manager. The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Lung Association of Washington or charity of choice. Born August 26, 1914 in Paducah, Texas; died June 7, 2001 in Seattle. Widow of Wayne K. Rice. Survived by her sisters, LaNelle J. and Jim Davis of Creede, CO, Bonnie M. (Frank) Ferguson of Fort Worth, Texas, Annabelle Snow of West Columbia, Texas; and brother, Delwyn (Natalie) Ellis of Ocoee, Florida. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Rice was a retired supervisor for Pacific Northwest Bell and a longtime choir member of Fremont Baptist Church. Beloved son passed away on May 31, 2001. Born on January 14, 1964 in Seattle, WA. Aaron was preceded in death by his grandfather Albert Wesley Loggins, grandmother Dorothy Loggins, aunt Lucy Marie Duncan. He is survived by parents Sidney & Deloris Roberts; brother Eric Roberts, elder son Aaron Deshay Roberts, all of Seattle, WA. Martha Elizabeth RODMAN
Born in Seattle, WA. on December 5, 1912. She attended the University of Washington where she became a member of Phi Mu sorority and later graduated from Central Washington College in 1936. While there she met Lester Rodman whom she married
on July 31, 1938. They moved to Prosser, WA. in 1947 when they opened Rodman's Buster Brown Shoe Store. Martha was active in the community and joined Prosser Women's Club, Garden Club, Eastern Star, Coterie and was a leader for Camp Fire and Cub Scouts. Martha loved her teaching career and taught elementary school in Prosser for 20 years where she utilized her love of art and nature. After retirement she joined Desert Fiber Arts where she enjoyed the skills and camaraderie of weavers and spinners. The Rod man's love of gardening always showed with their bountiful vegetables and flowers. She had happy memories of camping with her family, clam digging and traveling. They were members of the First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughter Gretchen Johnson of Portland, OR., Dirk Rodman of Brier, WA. and Scott Rodman of Kirkland, WA. Martha was blessed with four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her sense or humor, kindnesses and strong sense of family will live with all of those who knew her. Morris "Moe" ROSE
A kind and sweet loving man, born May 7, 1913 in Madison Park on a houseboat, passed away at peace on June 5, 2001. Moe attended Garfield High School where he excelled at basketball and tennis, winning the All City Tennis Tournament in 1929. At age 19, he opened his first restaurant, The Shady Spot, which became a favorite hangout of Garfield students. Moe spent a lifetime in the restaurant business, owning, among others, Moe's Broiler, Dootson's and Maison Blanc. Moe was an avid sportsman, excelling in golf, skiing, tennis and horseshoes. Moe's passions in life were, besides dancing, his family and friends. He will be missed, lovingly remembered and cherished by his many friends and his son, Howard, his daughter, Lindy, his grandchildren, Melissa, Jennifer, Sherry and Mark, Chris and Lisa and his great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Gavin, his adored sisters, June and Ruth, his loving brother-n-law, Stan, sister-n-law Evelyn, and his devoted caregivers, Marthen, Arlin, Ulva, Edmey and Nazila. Funeral Services will be held TODAY, Thursday, June 7th at 12 noon at the Chapel at the Bikur Cholim cemetery, located at 1340 N. 115th in Seattle.
