Barbara E. Callander was born to Harry and Anna (Hughes) Lynch on November 24, 1929 in Lachute, Quebec, Canada, and entered into rest with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on June 16, 2001 in Burlington, Washington. Barbara is survived by her loving family, devoted husband of 49 years Douglas Callander at the family home, son Terry Callander of Sumas, daughters Wendy Callander of Portland, Oregon, Bonnie Grieve and her husband Vern of Monroe, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sisters Betty Beanland, Peggy O'Donnell, brothers Ted O'Donnell, Tim O'Donnell, and Garth Lynch. Barbara was predeceased by her mother Anna O'Donnell, and a brother Paul Lynch. Memorial Services for Barbara will be held at "His Place" Foursquare Church, 1480 S. Burlington Blvd., Burlington, Washington, on Tuesday, June 26, 2001 at 2 p.m. In lieu of floral tributes, please make remembrances to the local chapter of the American Lung Association or Skagit Hospice. Cynthia Horn CALLISON
Age 97. Graduate of W. Queen Anne Elementary and Queen Anne High 1922. Born 1904 in Tacoma to May and Edward T. Horn. At 21, Cynthia taught herself to drive in a Model A Ford. Worked for McDougal Southwick, Carnation Company and Pope and Talbot. With Myron, husband of 65 years (Dec. 1996), square danced for over 30 years and wintered in Palm Springs. Traveled in Europe with her daughter. Lately, Metro Van took her to social events, and Jacob sen House provided excellent, loving care she thoroughly enjoyed. Daughter, Virginia C. Dolan; sister-in-law, Vivian Horn (brother Edw. T. Horn Dec. 1993); nieces, Susan Stansell, Jane Irwin; grandniece/nephews, Katie and Peter Gengler and Owen Jackson; 2 great grandnieces. Anthony Barrett (Harry) CAREY
Affectionately known by family and friends as Harry. He was born in the Chapei Internment Camp, Shanghai, China on March 11, 1945. His parents were John and Goldina Vanderveen Carey. He graduated from the University of San Francisco and UCLA Berkley. After a year teaching English, he pursued the family tradition of working on the water. He was a member of the Port Angeles Pilot Association and enjoyed every minute of his life that he spent on sea and land. He is survived by wife Linda, children Heather and Brian, and a large extended family including relatives from Canada and the United States, all whom he loved dearly. A mentor to many, especially his dear friends Eric and Jack. Beloved by all, he will be missed for his charm, intelligence and superior wit. Memorial Service to be held Sunday, June 24th, 1 p.m. at Seattle Preparatory School Gymnasium, 2400 11th Ave.East, Seattle, WA 98102. Reception immediately following. Wee Gai Chin was born March 22, 1910 in Canton, China. passed away June 14, 2001 at age of 91. He is survived by his children, William (Luanne) Chin, Sue (Kyle) Lee, Patricia (Bill) Ruvalcaba; grandchildren, Connie (David) Yin, Debbie (Doug) Chin, Evelyn Chu, John and Ken Lee; five great grandchildren; brothers, Shiu-Ying Tso of Los Angeles and Gary Tso of San Francisco. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat urday, June 23rd at Butterworth Funeral Home, 300 E. Pine, Seattle. Interment

Kay A. CLARK
Highly respected realtor and community volunteer, Kay Clark, lost her courageous 3 year battle to cancer on June 17, 2001. Known for her discretion and savvy in residential real estate, Kay listed and sold some of the Eastside's most prestigious homes during her 21-year career with Coldwell Banker Bain. She was a dedicated mother and mentor to her daughter Christi Clark who joined her Mom in the real estate business in 1991, and to her son Brian Clark, a chef in Seattle. Kay's many community activities included service in the Junior League of Seattle, the Over lake Service League and the Milnora de B. Roberts Guild of the Northwest Regional Children's Hospital. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Pacific Northwest Ballet and participated in the Alexis de Tocqueville Society of United Way of King County. Kay was loved and respected by so many not so much for who she was, but because she genuinely cared about others and let the know it. She was a woman of enormous energy and versatility who engaged in community giving and en joyed many sports. She played golf at Overlake Golf and Country Club and was a serious fan of Seattle's professional sports teams. She knew Sonics, Seahawks and Mariners players and their individual as well as team records. She was a radiant, enthusiastic, gracious and caring lady to her friends, her clients and anyone whose life she touched. Kay was born in Evansville, Indiana in March 1943. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and graduated from The American University in Washington D.C. in 1965. Her first position upon graduation from college was as an elementary school teacher. Kay and her family moved to Bellevue in 1969. She is survived by daughter Christi, son Brian, and her main caregiver, Abby (her schnauzer). In Evansville, Indiana, Kay leaves her mother, Barbara Alexander, a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sherry Alexander, three nephews and a niece. Memorial Service Thursday, June 21, 2001, 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1934 108th Avenue N.E., Bellevue, WA. Services will continue and conclude with Burial in Evansville, Indiana. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations in Kay Clark's memory be made to the Pacific Northwest Ballet or to the Swedish Foundation Medical Center, c/o The Cancer Institute for financial assistance. Thelma M. CLARK
Born August 30, 1903 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband M. J. (Midge) Clark. A longtime resident of Magnolia, she was a volunteer 'Gray Lady' for many years at the US Public Health Hospital. Survived by son Jack Clark of Bellevue; three grandsons, Christopher and Kelly of Bellevue, Kenneth (wife Ann) of Carnation; also three great grandsons, Daniel of Bellevue, Brandon of Yakima and Kody of Carnation. Georgia Lorraine (Kelson) CROWE
Georgia Crowe of West Seattle, born August 13th 1923 in Lake Park, Mn., and widow of Richard E. Crowe passed away June 15, 2001 at the Care Center of Kelsey Creek in Bellevue, Wa. Georgia was a lifetime member of over 50 years in Eastern Star and a past Worthy Matron. Other club affiliations were White Shrine, Daughters of the Nile, and Amaranth. She is survived by her three children, Diana Crowe of Seattle, Carol McShan of Blaine, and Ric Crowe of Seattle. Her grandchildren, Shawn Keehn of Lynden, who preceded her in death, Shelley Keehn of Bellingham, Rachel Wydur of Blaine and Brian McDonald of Seattle. Her great grandchildren, Christopher Keehn of Florida, Samantha Fletcher of Bellingham, Brittney, Justin and Jordan Wydur of Blaine, and Randy, Rachel and Brandon McDonald of Seattle. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Memorial Service will be held on June 30, 2001 at the Masonic Temple in West Seattle. (Obit dated 06/19/2001.)
