Juanita Audrey ELLIS
Juanita passed away on June 19 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and the many people whose lives she touched. Born to Jess and Etta Grizzle in Norman, Oklahoma, on February 27, 1923. It was there that she met and married
Raymond, her beloved husband of 54 years. Juanita traveled the world and finally settled in Washington. During her full life she served as Regional Vice-President of United Methodist Women and as an experimental rose tester for the Jackson and Perkins Company. She is survived by Raymond, son David Ellis and his wife Elaina, daughter Peggy Taylor and husband Ron, daughter Sandra Pavolka and husband Mark and their family. Grandson Lee J. Taylor and partner Graciella Cuevas, grandson Nathan Ellis and wife Janelle and great grandchild Kylie, grandson Steven Ellis and granddaughter Mary Ellis, also survive her. Juanita's selfless, loving spirit is inspirational to all who knew her. It was a blessing to have her in our lives. She made each of us better. Thank you Dr. Greer and the UW oncology nurses for your compassionate care in this long and hard fought battle. Private Service will be held.

Was born October 22nd, 1910 a Colfax, Washington to parents, Delbert and Lavina (Bowman) McConnell.
She died Saturday, June 16th, 2001 at her daughter's home in Stanfield, Oregon at the age of 90.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, June 26th, 2001 at 1 p.m. at Fellowship Bible Church, 15880 Military Road South, Seattle, WA. 98188.
Della will be laid to rest next to her husband, Carroll Erickson at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent, Washington.

Union Gap -- Jack L. Field, 71, of Selah, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at Parkside Nursing Care Center, Union Gap.
Jack was born October 19, 1929 at Seattle, Washington to Cleo and Josephine (LeClaire) Field.
He is survived by by two nieces: Roxanne Steven of Selah, WA., and Ronda Schmig of Yakima, WA.

Pearlina Franco was born in Rhodes, Greece on May 15, 1909. She was preceded in death by her 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and loving husband of 61 years, Nessim Franco. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Mizrahi, three granddaughters, Shelley Mizrahi, Peggy (Jack) Alhadeff, Judy (Shimon) Harel, and four great grandsons, Nisan & Rafi Harel, and Josh & Danny Alhadeff. She was our mother, our grandmother, our friend. She gave us love, strength, wisdom and compassion and will live on in our hearts forever. She will be deeply missed. Pat passed away peacefully in Seattle, WA. on Sunday, June 17, 2001, after a battle with cancer. She was born in Aurora, IL. on July 6, 1926. She made many dear friends where she lived, in Aurora, IL., Suquamish, WA., and Providence Point in Issaquah, WA., as well as on her many travels. Pat is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Terri, and her grandchildren, Ben, Emilie and Kevin, and her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Bob Zilly. Agnes born September 15, 1915 in Ballard and died of pneumonia June 15, 2001, at the age of 85. She graduated from Ballard High School in 1932. She was in Daughters of Norway, active in Eastern Star for 60 years, and loved reading, traveling and bridge. She is survived by her daughter Candyce Bernstein and many nieces and nephews who will love and remember her. Diane Gradel was born April 28, 1944 in Seattle, WA. and passed away June 17, 2001 in Auburn, WA. She was a resident of Auburn and worked at Boeing as a Tools Services Analyst where she retired in 2000 after 30 years of service. Diane was preceded in death by her father, Roy Hoien and is survived by her sons, Scott Gradel, Tacoma, Todd Gradel, Yakima and Tracy Gradel of Auburn; mother, Janet Hoien of Seattle; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Bob Hoien of Bloomfield Hills, MI. and John Hoien of Sacramento, CA.; sister, Rosalie Carlstedt of Seattle. Margaret Elizabeth (Betty) GRUBB
1923-2001
Betty was born in Pike Road, North Carolina on December 30, 1923 to Raymond and Carrie Paul. Betty passed away on June 19, 2001 in Seattle, Washington. She met her husband Don of 55 years in December 1945, while he was serving aboard ship following WWII in Portsmouth, Virginia. Arriving in Seattle, they were married
on May 24, 1946. Most of their married
life was spent in Washington and Oregon. Betty or 'Liz' as known by her family in Virginia and North Carolina, made many true friends during her lifetime and all will miss her. She is survived by her husband Don, daughter Debbie, son in law David, grandchildren Matthew, Nathan, and Kara, as well as her family in Virginia and North Carolina, Maxine, Louise, Eleanor, John, brother Joe and Ruby. At her request there will be no funeral service, however, there will be a celebration of life open house on Saturday, June 23 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Debbie's home.
