He is survived by beloved wife of 52 years, Lillian; daughters, Judith Lorance, Donna (Steve) Brand, Janet (Terry) McKeon; grandchildren, Eric and Jill Brand, Tyler and Ryan McKeon; sisters, Doris Nelson, Dolly Medley and brother, Holger Johnson.
He is preceded in death by sister, Ruth Kinnisten.
Eric was a member of North Seattle Alliance Church, Kiwanis Club and an insurance agent.
Memorial Service 11 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2001 at North Seattle Alliance Church, 2150 N. 122nd St.

He passed away peacefully on June 14, 2001 at his home in Bellevue, WA.
He is survived by his parents Tsutomu and Isako Kajimura of Bellevue; sister Darlene (Fred) Furukawa of Issaquah; sister Linda Kajimura of Seattle; and nephew Eric Furukawa.

Mayme A. Kammeyer, lifelong resident of West Seattle, passed away Sat., June 16, 2001 of natural causes. She was 83. Mayme was born in Baraboo, WI. on Sept. 6, 1917. She graduated from West Seattle High School in 1936. Mayme was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and a treasured friend to a great many relatives, acquaintances and neighbors. preceded in death by husband Harold in 1988 and grandson Eli O'Neil in 1993. She is survived by two daughters Arliene Zeigler of Federal Way and Jane O'Neil of Kent, three grandchildren, John Miller of Issaquah, Aaron Miller of Federal Way, and Jes sica O'Neil of Kent, three great grandchildren, Quintin, Grace, and Jacob. Gary (Doc) KLUKAS, 46. passed away on June 6, 2001, in Las Vegas, at the Nathan Adelson Hospice. Born on August 8th, 1954 in Minneapolis, MN. and moved to Washington State in 1966. Graduated from Kentridge High school in Kent, WA. Gary was employed by the Boeing Company for 24 years. He most recently worked on the F-22 program. He is survived by 4 daughters. Melissa Klukas of Sea-Tac, Amanda Klukas of Auburn, Rachel Fields of Orting, Angelegue Bowers of Lake Tapps. Beloved son of Bud and Betty Klukas of Ocean Shores, WA. Two brothers, Randy Klukas of Ocean Shores, David Klukas of Auburn, and 3 grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home in Kent, WA. on Saturday, June 23rd at 1 p.m. A memorial fund has been set up in Gary's name to Nathan Adelson Hospice, 3391 N. Yoso KURAMOTO
August 25, 1925 - June 8, 2001
Yoso Kuramoto, 75, of Ontario, Ore., died Friday, June 8, at Holy Rosary Hospital of Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome. He was born in Fife, Wash., to Satoru and Ryo (Wada) Kuramoto, and attended schools in Fife and Algona, Wash., until 1942, when he and his family were interned during World War II because of their Japanese ancestry. He was interned at camps in Tule Lake, Calif., and Amache, Colo. He graduated Tri-State High in Tule Lake in 1943, and worked at a Birdseye frozen-foods plant in Seabrook, N.J., from February to August of 1944. He entered the U.S. Army in 1944 and was an agent in the Counter Intelligence Corps., serving in Camp Shelby, Miss.; Camp Blanding, Fla.; Fort Meade, Md.; Korea; Fort Holagird, Md.; Japan; Seattle, Wash.; Portland, Ore.; Chicago, Ill.; and Denver, Colo. While serving, he completed Army CIC School, Army CIC Course - Far East and Army Language School. He married
Kazuko Johnson in 1965. He retired from the Army after 26 years of service with rank of sergeant first-class in September 1972, and went to work as a travel agent for Iseri Travel Agency in Ontario. He retired from Iseri Travel on Aug. 31, 1990. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 0067, Four Rivers Cultural Center, Idaho Oregon Buddhist Temple, the Japanese American National Museum and the Japanese American Citizens League. He was a life member of ACICV, DAV, NCICA and VFW Post 5452. He enjoyed playing cards with friends, being involved in the Ontario-Sayama sister-city program, volunteering at Four Rivers Cultural Center and delivering for Meals on Wheels. Survivors include his wife; daughter and son-in-law, June and Bill Warne of Trabuco Canyon, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Yoko Kuramoto-Eidsmoe and Craig Eidsmoe of Seattle, Wash.; brother, Tsuyoshi (Comp) Kuramoto of Bakersfield, Calif.; sister, Fukashi Arima of Caldwell, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents; his brother, Toru Kuramoto, and his sister, June Kumagai. A Memorial Service under the direction of Lienkaemper's Funeral Home was held Tuesday, June 12, at Idaho Oregon Buddhist Temple. (Obit dated 06/20/2001.)
David Paul LAUERMAN
David Paul LAUERMAN, age 44, born in Everett, WA on June 6, 1957, passed away June 20, 2001 in Sultan, WA. He graduated from Mountlake Terrace High School in 1975, & went on to graduate from Commercial Art School. He spent his career working as a carpenter with his brother, Wayne, and then as a machinist with Boeing. David enjoyed the out-of-doors, especially archery and hiking, and also spent time restoring vehicles. He is survived by his daughters Krista and Megan Lauerman and their mother Cheryl Lewis, his parents Kenneth and Jean Lauerman, his brothers Wayne (Beverly) Lauerman, Steven (Leah) Lauerman and his sister Leslie VanWyck. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 3215 Larch Way, Lynnwood, WA. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to the charity of your choice. Beck's Funeral Home, Edmonds entrusted with arrangements.
Harvard J. LEAVITT
Age 86. Survived by wife Nancy, daughter Lollie (Jack) Norman, son Rick. Five grandchildren Jennifer (Roger) Gulrajani, Wendy (Howard) Barokas, Alisa, Aaron and David Leavitt. Great Grandsons, Zachary, Jacob, Andrew and Riley. He served during World War II with the 6th Marine Division in the South Pacific, the Okinawa invasion and North China. After the war, he and his three brothers, Robert, LeRoy and Donald operated five women's apparel stores for 25 years in the Seattle area. The business was known was known as Leavitt Brothers. He was chairman of the Seattle Downtown Business Association in 1968. During the 60's, he and his brothers diversified and developed land for home builders in four states. After retirement, he and his wife traveled extensively to several continents. His interests in native art lured him into the import trade business. He was commissioned to import art objects from Peru for museum stores in Seattle and San Diego. His passion for adventure prompted a parachute jump at age 72. He was past board member of Glendale Country Club and was a charter member of the Bellevue Club. He was a past member of B'nai Brith, American Jewish Committee and supporter of Kline Galland Center and Jewish Family Ser vice Organizations. Private family service. Friends and family are invited Wednesday evening, June 20th at 6 p.m. to the home of Donald and Gail Leavitt located at 13640 Main Street, Bellevue.
