Thomas C. WHITESIDE
Affectionately known by family and friends as "Bud".
He was born at Powell, MO, on April 14, 1914 and passed away on June 16, 2001.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife Grace, and son Thomas Edward.
Bud was well known in Alaska where he traveled and worked as a Merchandise Broker for many years.
Bud is survived by two brothers, Curtis of Phoenix, AZ, and James of Burlingame, CA.; two sisters, Bess Stuth of Kirkland, WA. and Marjorie Cragg of Bellevue, WA; also six nieces and nephews.
He will be laid to rest at Sunset Mausoleum, Berkely, CA, next to his wife and son.
He was loved and will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Emrys L. WILLIAMS
Born October 28, 1918, passed away May 14, 2001.
At his request, no services were held.
He is now with his loving mother and is survived by his dog Freckles.
There will be a Memorial Service held by his neighbors at the home of Doug & Mary Roberts, 15106 S.E. 40th Pl. in Bellevue on June 24th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Karen WILLOWS
A resident of Seattle and Friday Harbor from 1987-92, died suddenly and peacefully on June 7, 2001 at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, AK.
Willows was born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on 7/30/ 44.
She obtained her RN degree and Nurse Practitioner certificate from Russell Sage College in Albany, N.Y.
Karen held nursing jobs in N.Y., CA, and Friday Harbor, before moving to South Peninsula Hospital in Homer in 1992.
She moved into the specialty field of forensic nursing in 1993 and was a pioneer of the Sexual Assault Response Team concept in Alaska.
Karen's vitality will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved her and in the grateful people to whom she donated her organs and tissues.
She will be greatly missed.
A community memorial service will be held at the Pratt Museum in Homer June 23rd, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen's memory may be made to the Karen Willows Marine Ed. Mem. Fund, Pratt Museum, 3779 Bartlett St., Homer, AK. 99603.

Arthur E. WILSON
Born May 16, 1910, passed away June 16, 2001.
He is survived by son, Grant (Grace); daughters, Diane and Peggy; sister Marjorie Barber and brother Leslie Wilson; grandson, Dave (Angie) and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2001 at Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 14951 Bothell Way N.E., Seattle.
Remembrances in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Leora WILSON-LASHER
Age 53, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2001.
Leora was born in Bemidji, MN. and resided in Issaquah, WA.
Her life's work and love was nursing.
She is survived by her husband William, her children Matthew, Erin, and Andrew; her mother Hazel Wilson, and her two sisters Rhoda Steenhoven and Rosella Cullen.
She was preceded in death by her father Willard Wilson.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
"My beloved wife Leora was a beautiful person who had only love in her heart and could overlook everyone else's failings and shortcomings.
She will be sorely missed by many but most of all by me."
Viewing will be held at Bleitz Funeral Home in Fremont on Sat., June 23, 2001 at 11 a.m.
Service will be held Mon., June 25 at 2 p.m. at Crossroads Bible Church in Bellevue, WA.

Sharon (Hubbs) WORDEN

As long as rivers shall run down to the sea, or shadows touch the mountain slopes, or stars graze in the vault of heaven, so long, shall your memory endure in our hearts.
These thoughts are the promise of family and friends, as Sharon passed from this life surrounded by family at her home on June 18th, 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Duane; sons, Christopher, Charles, and Cody; mother, Grace; brother, John and his wife, Denise.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 23rd, 4 p.m. at the North Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5701 8th Ave. N.E., Seattle, 98105. Immediately following the service there will be a potluck dinner for those who wish to stay and celebrate Sharon's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Hideko YADA
Died peacefully at home on June 20, 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; daughter, Gail Hikida of Renton; son, Jeffery (Christine) Yada of Spokane; four grandchildren; a great grandson; and two brothers, Edward Tsutakawa of Spokane and Tsuyoshi Tsutakawa of Japan.
She was as member of the Blaine Memorial United Methodist Church; it's Tuesday Ladies Group; co-president of United Methodist Women; Nisei Veterans Committee Auxiliary; Ayame Kai; Kokoro Kai; Emerald City Quilters; and Delta Kappa Gamma (Retired Teachers Assn).
Memorial Services will be Monday, June 25, 7 p.m. at Blaine Memorial Methodist Church, 3001 24th Ave. S.
