Lucile K. GEIBEL
Seattle resident for most of her life, died September 27, 2001 in Shelton, WA. in peace after drifting under Alzheimer's disease. She was 90. A Memorial Service will be Sunday, October 7, 1:30 p.m., at Prospect United Church of Christ, 20th & Prospect St., on Capitol Hill, where she attended for 50 years, singing in the choir most of that time. Born April 9, 1911, Seattle, to Elmer Price and Metta Koehler Keeney, she grew up in the Greenlake District, with three brothers, Harold, Bob and Don, graduating from Roosevelt High School. Bob Keeney, Kirkland, survives. Univ. of Washington graduate, 1933, member, Delta Zeta sorority. Married, divorced Fred W. Geibel. She received a teaching certificate from Seattle University, 1955, member education honorary, Kappa Delta Pi. She taught elementary school in the Mercer Island District for the next 20 years. She built and lived in a tri-plex in Madison Park, then remodeled and lived in another on Boylston. In the 80's she lived on Capitol Hill in 2 different condominiums. In retirement, she was a volunteer driver for cancer patients and disadvantaged children. She was a member of SPICE at I.I. Stevens Grade School during this period. She was a resident at Alpine Way, Shelton, for the last 6 years. She is survived by her son Jeff Geibel, Shelton, her grandchildren Debra Dubief, Wallingford, Kurt Geibel, West Seattle, and two great-grandchildren, Andre' and Simon Dubief. Lloyd GERING
A great husband, father, educator and musician, Lloyd will be celebrated in a Memorial Service Thursday, October 4, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Rose Hill in Redmond. Lloyd was a 50-year resident of Redmond, Kirkland and Bellevue. He was a long time employee of the Bellevue Public Schools, working as a band instructor, teacher, principal of Medina Elementary School and personnel administrator. He concluded his education career by working as the founding principal of the Interlake Cottage, a school for students with developmental disabilities. Lloyd is survived by his wife Betty; his children, David and Lynn Gering, and Phyllis and Jim Blackburn; grandchildren Victoria, Christine, Jeffrey and Briana, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was a brother to Willis and Percy Gering. Lloyd passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, at age 82. Born in South Dakota to Arthur and Lydia Gering, Lloyd grew up on a wheat farm in Richey, Montana. He obtained a teaching degree from Eastern Montana Normal College and was working as a teacher when he enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II. He rose to the rank of captain, was stationed at Fort Lewis, and wound up settling his family in a house he built on Lake Sammamish. Lloyd and Betty lived in Redmond for the past 30 years. An Avid musician accomplished at many instruments, Lloyd was an excellent pianist. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the American Heart Assoc. or the American Cancer Society. Antoinette Marjorie (Linger) GILMAN
passed away peacefully September 26, 2001, af ter a long illness. Known as "Toni", she was a long-time resident of Arbor Heights in West Seattle. Recently, she and her husband, Ben, had moved to Mill Creek, Washington. Toni was born February 9, 1919 in Seattle to Anton and Carrie Linger. She attended Garfield High School, graduating in 1937. She married
her husband, Ben, in 1943. On November 6, they would have celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniver sary. Toni was known for her sense of humor and wit. She deeply loved her family and friends, and all who knew her are saddened by her death. Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Carrie, and her sister, Florence. She is survived by her beloved husband, Ben, daughters Jo-Anne (Gary) Henderson, Christine (Merle) Cunningham, grandchildren, Jeannine and David Henderson, brother, Ernest Linger, sister-in-law, Eva Mary Gilman, and numerous nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, bequests can be made to the Seattle Fire Department Fund for transmittal to the New York Fireman/Policeman Memorial Fund. Richard GLASER
Richard GLASER, 67, husband of Mili E. Glaser passed away September 17, 2001 at his residence in Seattle. Born in Mandan, North Dakota October 4, 1933, he was the son of the late Anton and Rose Glaser. He served in the U.S. Marines and retired from the Zellerbach Paper Company. Survived by wife Mili; son Keith Glaser of Seattle; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Tolliver of Port Angeles and Mrs. Agnes Geis, and brother Ray both of Mandan, N.D.; one granddaughter Kelsey of Seattle, and many nieces and nephews. In celebration of his life, a Memorial Service was held at Bonney-Watson Funeral Home on September 21st officiated by Rev. Jerry Coleman. Bernice HAGAN, 83, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 29, 2001. She was born in Seattle on March 31, 1918 and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Ballard High School. She is survived by her brother, Arthur Hagan of Bainbridge Island, and her sister, Edith Maines of Seattle, and numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, and was a Mariners fan. Floyd Hawk, 73, born June 15, 1928 in Herminie, PA., passed away September 25, 2001 in Renton, WA. Mr. Hawk served in the U.S. Army and later owned and operated Sanco Northwest Lot Services. His hobbies included being a race car driver and owner, and he loved telling jokes. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Betty Ann Hawk of Kent; son, Bill Hawk of Auburn; brother, Henry Hawley of Virginia and numerous grandchildren.
