Reginal P. McINTYRE
Born April 24, 1919 in Seattle, died Sept. 29, 2001 in Renton at age 82. He attended Seattle schools, and was one of the first students at Dunlap Elementary School in 1925. He also attended Frank lin High School. During WWII he served in the Army Air Corps. He married
Adeline Kuppinger on Nov. 9, 1946 in Sprague and they moved to Renton that year. In 1949 they moved to Bryn Mawr. He worked for Boeing as a machinist for 10 years, retiring in 1981. He also worked for Titan Chainsaw for six years and Mechanical Products for 20 years. He was a 50 year member of International Association of Machinists Local #79 and #751; past member of A.O.P.A. (Air craft Owners Pilots Association). He attended Skyway Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Adeline McIntyre, Seattle; son, Alan (Yvonne) McIntyre, Auburn; daughters, Maria (Daniel) Claudon, Seattle, Dora Mathisen, Seattle and Judith McIntyre; brothers, Harvey McIntyre, Burien and Donald (Lynda) McIntyre. Rachael Hammond McKEAG
Rachael Hammond McKEAG, 87, of Anacortes, WA., passed away Sunday, September 30, 2001 in Anacortes. She was born November 6, 1913 in Lexington, NE. Rachael grew up in Lexington, NE., and worked in Has tings, NE. as a secretary for an attorney and then for the First National Bank of Hastings. She moved to Seattle in 1937 where she married
Neil McKeag. After raising her children, she worked as office manager for an auto parts store. After Neil's death in 1978, she decided she needed a challenge, so she attended the University of Washington and graduated at the age of 77. Her favorite activities were playing bridge, knitting, reading, and doing things for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil McKeag and a son, Richard McKeag. She is survived by her brother, Walter Hammond of Lexington, NE.; her daughter, Sheila McKeag Gifford of Anacortes; three grandchildren, Colleen McKeag Johnson, Scott T. McKeag, Ed ward N. McKeag; and two great grandchildren. Services will be held at Acacia Funeral Home Chapel, 14951 Bothell Way N.E., Seattle, WA. at 3 p.m. on October 4, 2001. Doris Hope McKEOWN
Doris Hope McKEOWN, 94, born August 24, 1907 to Frank and Jane Dill in New Westminster, B.C. died September 29, 2001 in Bellevue. Doris came to Seattle in 1932 during the Depression with her husband Willis and two small children. She lived on Mercer Island for 40 years. She loved playing bridge and golf and was good at both. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and two brothers. Her survivors include her daughter Barbara and her husband Dave Hoffman of Bellevue, her son Ronald and his wife Jeanne McKeown of Puyallaup; brother Harold Dill of Vancouver, B.C.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful fun mom. We will miss her. No services at her request. (Obit dated 10/03/2001.)

Age 82, died October 1, 2001 in Edmonds, WA. Predeceased by her husband, Harry, in 1998. She is survived by her sons, Raymond C. (LoAnna) McNew of Spanaway and Kenneth G. (Victoria) McNew of Seattle; sister, Helen Beaupre of Ocean Park, WA and granddaughter, Gretchen McNew of Seattle. She was a longtime member of Philadelphia Church and past member of Golden Circle at Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Beloved husband of the late Nora Menendez and father of George Menendez, Jacksonville, FL.; Gil and Gary Menendez, Kenmore, WA.; and Gerard Menendez, Greenwood, WA. Gil, a long time resident of Bothell, Washington, served in the Army Air Corps during W.W. II and is a former prisoner of war and Purple Heart recipient. Gil was active throughout his life as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and the American Red Cross. Mother extraordinaire entered this world on January 2, 1922 and peacefully went home to Jesus September 28, 2001. All 79 years of her life were lived in Seattle. After moving to Seattle she was assistant director of the Cirque Dinner Theatre and a professional actress working stage film and radio. Active in retirement she enjoyed life tremendously. preceded in death by her loving husband Kay J. Miner. Survived by children Sherry Capriotti, Shawn and Lorraine Miner, Mark and Phyllis Stockand, Steve Miner, Mathew Capriotti and Tim Miner; sisters Jewel LaPorte, Beverly Clarke; brother Peter Miller, many nieces, nephews, cousins and their children, all of whom she loved dearly. She was the first African-American woman to Umpire at the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament and a celebrated Bridge and Tennis Player. She is survived by her daughter Pam (Bill) Brown of Maryland, brother Robert (Minerva) White of Chicago, granddaughter Najja (Zorn) Taylor, grandson Jamal Saint, great-grandchildren Joseph (J.R.), Zenobia and Nazirah all of Seattle, a 97-year old aunt Nell Rankin of St. Louis, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and very dear friends.
