Joseph Henry LAMPER
Resident of south King County for 50 years, passed away Nov. 10, 2001 in Federal Way at the age of 84. After serving in the Navy during WWII, he worked for Boeing, retiring in 1981. During his free time, he enjoyed raising pigeons and watching sports. Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Kathleen, in 1987. Survived by his sister, Vera Rowe and nephew, Gene Lamper, both of Salt Lake City; sisters-in-law, Peggy Greenstreet of Kent, Shir ley Barber of Clallam Bay, Joy Ferrier of North Bend and numerous nieces and additional nephews. Floyd H. LEMONS
Born August 12, 1921, died November 9, 2001 at the age of 80. He passed away peacefully. Survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Anna, son William of Seattle, daughters Teresa of Everett, Margarete of Seattle, and Molly of Ohio, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one sister Edna of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and twelve brothers and sisters. Longtime resident of Seattle, Floyd honorably served in the U.S. Navy for over 20 years, followed by ten additional years of service with N.O.A.A. After his retirement, he enjoyed life to the fullest with his wife, family and friends. He enjoyed gardening, walks with his dog, Pebbles, while his cat, Sam followed close behind. Richard B. LOCKE
Richard (Dick) B. Locke was born November 3, 1931 in Salem, Massachusetts, and died October 13, 2001 in Seattle, Washington. He spent his early years in Salem, developing what would be a life-long interest in and love for this country's Northeastern Region. He received his law degree from Boston University. After graduating from law school, Dick served in the U.S. Army at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. He then commenced a long and distinguished career in the Federal Government. One of his major responsibilities was to help implement the newly created Medicare Program. He worked in the San Francisco region, and then became the first employee in the Health Care Financing Administration's newly created Seattle Regional Office. He retired in 1988 to care for his parents. Dick was an accomplished classical pianist and enjoyed playing for his friends. He also enjoyed golf, reading, cooking, traveling and sailing. In the early 90's he had built and then sailed in Puget Sound waters his vessel, the Quest. His many friends will miss him. At his request, there will be no service. Kenneth Len LOUIE
passed away on 11/13/2001 after a brief illness. He was born on 4/16/1927 in New York City to Fat Yuen and Eng Shee Louie. Kenneth graduated from Franklin High School in 1944. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in Italy during W.W. II. He graduated from the University of Washington and received his BA in Industrial Design. After brief employment with the Boeing Company, he was asked to take over management of the family noodle and fortune cookie business and was President of the Tsue Chong Company, Inc. until his untimely death. Ken was an avid sportsman and an expert marksman and state champion skeet shooter. In 1991 he was inducted into the Washington State Skeet Shooting Association Hall of Fame. A gourmet cook, Ken often entertained family and friends with his culinary masterpieces. He will always be remembered for his love and kindness toward all whom he touched. His loyalty, generosity, and biting wit endeared him to all who knew him. He is survived by his brothers Henry (Lina), Joe (Sula), and sisters Nadine Wu (Eugene), and Betsy Fan (T.C.), numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, friends, and his German shepherd, Storm. Visitation will be Sunday, noon to 5 p.m., and Monday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2001 at Bonney-Watson Funeral Home, Capitol Hill at 10:30 a.m. Interment

Joyce Ann LUND
Joyce Ann Lund, a loving wife, compassionate mother, sister, devoted grandmother, and generous friend passed away on November 14, 2001 due to complications from Diabetes. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, her seven children, 10 grandchildren, two sisters and her father. Services will be held Saturday, November 17 at 3 p.m. at the Price-Helton Funeral Chapel, 702 Auburn Way N., Auburn, WA. Reception to follow at the home of Michael Lund.
Grazel Catherine (White) LYNCH
February 24, 1904 to November 11, 2001
Grazel was born in Republic, Michigan, and spent her younger years in Alaska. This young flapper moved to Seattle where she met and married
a young attorney, John Harris Lynch. Their marriage produced three children and lasted until his death shortly after their 50th wedding anniversary. Grazel is survived by her children Joan Egan of Sequim, Pat Lynch of Poulsbo, and Judy Heinrich of Clinton. She is also survived by grandchildren Maureen Netherda, Tim Egan, Kevin Egan, Mary Ann Migake, Colleen Egan, Kelly Egan, Dan Egan, Christopher Lynch, Jennifer Teising, Michael Heinrich, Tom Heinrich, Dan Heinrich, Katie Heinrich, and honorary granddaughter Lois McCloskey. She is further survived by 11 great-grandchildren. Grazel made friends quickly and easily, whether on a plane ride to California or just on a bus ride downtown. She liked to play cards and was not averse to teaching her grandchildren and their friends about the folly of gambling by engaging them in a game of poker. She was devoted to her family and to helping others. Grazel was a long time member of the Seattle Milk Fund, the Association for Catholic Childhood, St. Anne's Parish, and Our Lady of the Lake Parish. Grazel was a very upbeat person and knew how to take the bumps in life's road with a minimal amount of stress. Her sharp mind, her sense of humor, and her quick wit never abandoned her. She died peacefully at home with family around her. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's Church, 1411 - 1st W., on Saturday, November 17 at 11 a.m., reception to follow. Contributions are suggested to Heritage House at the Market or Hospice of Seattle. Granny, we will miss you dearly, but we still haven't figured out how you managed to smuggle that bottle of Old Bushmills into heaven. (Obit dated 11/15/2001.)

Born March 5, 1944 in Crawsfordsville, IN.
He moved to the Seattle area and attended Seattle College in 1962.
He had been living in the Los Angeles area for the last 20 years.

She is survived by her Great Grandmother, Doris Long (Westfield, NJ) Grandparents, Ginny Long (Seattle), Paula and Bruce Long (West field, N.J.), Noel McLaughlin (Monmouth Beach, N.J.), Beverly and Bill Rich (West End, N.J.), Aunts and Uncles, Lisa and Tim Main (Seattle), Sally McLaughlin and Scott Wilson (Seattle), Brian and Mona Long (San Francis co), Chris and Craig Long (Westfield, N.J.), Lauren and Mark Mayer (Oceanport, N.J.) Michael McLaughlin (Oceanport, N.J.), Sharon and John Novak (Wanamassa, N.J.) and the waiting arms of her many cousins; Katie, Justin, Steven, Allison, Charlie, Tom, Hallie and Lucas. Our large and loving family will forever hold Clara in our hearts.
