Lucille Flatt
Lucille G. Flatt, 96, of Bremerton died March 30, 1999, at her home.
She was born Sept. 27, 1902, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to Richard E. Lee and Corra Lee (Wilson) Cade. She attended high school in Vaughn, N.M., and finished her education in Las Cruces, N.M., at New Mexico A&M; University.
In May 1948, she married
Louis Schuh in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1956. In October 1961, she married
Harold Flatt in Chico, Calif. He preceded her in death in 1965.
Besides being a homemaker, she had worked at various places as a clerk, cashier and bookkeeper until she retired in 1961.
She has been an active member of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1935.
Survivors include a son, J. Richard Crenshaw of Oakridge, Ore.; a stepson, Marvin Flatt of Salt Lake City; a daughter, Mary Frances Beedle of Bremerton; a stepdaughter, Janice Norgaard of Moscow, Idaho; two sisters, Morta Reese of Roswell, N.M., and Eva Jo Kanning of Paradise, Calif.; 15 grandchildren, Bob Vettleson of Federal Way, Wayne Vettleson of Reading, Pa., Corey Vettleson of Poulsbo, Terri Rinard, Gale Crenshaw, Livia Wyman, Valerie Stueven and Joe Sullivan, all of Bremerton, Virginia Taylor of Eugene, Ore., Christine Leavesay of Oakridge, Ore., Jim Crenshaw of Jefferson, Ore., Karen Wilson of Jackson Hole, Wyo., Steve Norgaard of Moscow, Russel Norgaard of Boise, Idaho, and Ronda Norgaard of Roseburg, Ore.; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Crenshaw; a daughter, J. Corinne Sullivan; a brother, Ralph; and a sister, Hazel.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. April 10, at Kingdom Hall in Paradise.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice of Kitsap County or to a favorite charity.
Roy Robinson
Roy Henry Robinson, 87, of Poulsbo died April 3, 1999, of respiratory failure.
He was born April 9, 1911, in Shep, Texas, to Henry N. and Minnie (Powell) Robinson.
He married
Esther L. Robinson in Bakersfield, Calif. She preceded him in death in 1985.
Mr. Robinson was a 55-year member of Estero Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons in Morro Bay, Calif. He was a rancher and owner of Sunset Motel in Morro Bay for many years.
Survivors include a son, Russell H. Robinson of Cupertino, Calif.; a daughter, Donna L. Hayes of Hansville; two grandsons, Steven Phillips of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Mark Robinson of San Francisco; two granddaughters, Shelley Michalk of Fresno, Calif., and Dawn Martin of San Jose, Calif.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be in Morro Bay.

Gertrude Hall
Gertrude N. Hall, 83, of Bremerton died April 1, 1999, at Naval Hospital Bremerton.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bremerton.
Ruth Lutz-Lofgren
Ruth Gudrun Lutz-Lofgren, 83, of Bremerton died March 29, 1999, in Seattle.
She was born Nov. 24, 1915, in Circle, Mont., to Knute and Gudrun (Jorgensen) Boyum. She was raised and educated in Circle, graduating from Circle High School in 1934. She graduated from Concordia College in Morehead, Minn., in 1938.
On June 26, 1993, she married
Walter Lofgren at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Bremerton.
Mrs. Lutz-Lofgren was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, the Sons of Norway, the Senior Bowling League and the Retired Teachers of Spokane.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Vicki Lutz Murray of Allyn; two brothers, Arthur of Nashua, Mont., and Hans of Circle; and a sister, Johanna Mackenstadt of Bremerton. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Lutz.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, with a reception immediately following at the Sons of Norway Hall in Bremerton.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Ethelyn Ogle
Ethelyn D. Ogle, 77, of Port Orchard died while traveling in California on March 26, 1999.
She was born June 5, 1921, in Tindall, Mo. She was raised in Trenton, Mo.
On April 9, 1944, she married
William F. Ogle in Chehalis.
Mrs. Ogle worked as a sheetmetal worker at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for seven years.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Bill of Port Orchard; a daughter, Barbara Critelli of Manchester; two brothers, Hollis Bulyar of Sun City, Ariz., and William Dunn of Oklahoma; a sister, Leatha LaMar of Raytown, Mo.; two grandchildren, Peter and Dan Critelli, both of Manchester; and one great-grandchild.
A private family service is scheduled. Entombment will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Ruth VanGilder
Ruth VanGilder, 86, of Port Orchard died March 31, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Feb. 8, 1913, in Farragut, Iowa, to Robert and Emma (Butts) Mott. She was raised in Nebraska City, Neb., attending Nebraska City High School.
She formerly worked as a Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspaper distributor in the Port Orchard area.
Survivors include a son, A. Lee Allee of St. James, La.; a sister, Dovie Morgan of Chehalis; nine grandchildren, Jean Randall and Patrick Allee, both of New York, Ruth Nelson, John Allee and Karen Allee, all of Washington, and Mary Lee Allen, Elizabeth Johnston, Julie Allee and Stacy Guy Allee, all of Louisiana; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Raymond Allee and Clarence VanGilder; and a son, Steve Stacy Allee.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at Rill Chapel. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane cemetery.

Margaret Alexander
Margaret Mason Alexander, 58, of Silverdale died March 27, 1999, at her home.
She was born Dec. 31, 1940, in Phoenixville, Pa., to George Robish and Margaret Minarcik. She graduated from Saint Cyral's Girls Academy in Danville, Pa., in 1958.
On Nov. 17, 1970, she married
E. Nick Alexander in Las Vegas.
Mrs. Alexander worked as a soap opera actor for 20 years, starring in "The Young and the Restless" and "Days of Our Lives."
She was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
Survivors include her husband; her mother; a stepdaughter, Lisa Howard of Calabasas, Calif.; a sister, Mary Ann Finegan of Bally, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
At the family's request, there will be no services. Burial will be at the Sacred Heart cemetery in Phoenixville, Pa.

Edna VanSoest
Edna VanSoest, 85, of Port Orchard died March 31, 1999.
She was born Dec. 18, 1913, in Texas.
She was a member of Harper Evangelical Church.
On March 7, 1968, she married
Martin VanSoest in Federal Way.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Leon Martinson of Spanaway; nine daughters, Diane Linder, Karen Weiss and Terry Taylor, all of Minnesota, Connie Hallis of San Diego, Calif., Kathy Anderson of Honolulu, Hawaii, Sharon Mullins and Eileen Podraza, both of Port Orchard, Lennie Anderson of Lakewood and Marlene Yurg of Gig Harbor; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Anderson.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Rill Chapel. A funeral service will be at noon Monday at Harper Evangelical Free Church. A private interment will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Jeffrey Olson
Jeffrey Clark Olson, 43, of Bremerton died in an automobile accident March 27, 1999.
He was born Aug. 23, 1955, in Vallejo, Calif., to Bernard and Ione (Green) Olson. He was raised in Vallejo, attending Vallejo High School.
Mr. Olson served in the Army from 1973 to 1974 as a wireman at Fort Dix, N.J., and in Germany. He later worked in contractor sales at Home Base for over a year, as well as being an electrical subcontractor for 25 years.
He was a member of the Elks in Vallejo.
Survivors include his companion, Kathryn Shier of Bremerton; a son, Jeffrey Shier of Bremerton; two daughters, Eden Eades of Port Townsend and Julia Shier of Bremerton; a brother, Jim of Bend, Ore.; and a sister, Lynn Issacs of Tacoma.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Poulsbo Mortuary, "The Stone Chapel." A private interment will be at Breidablik cemetery.

George Imlach
George W. Imlach, 80, of Port Orchard died of cancer March 20, 1999, in Bremerton.
He was born Nov. 25, 1918, in Port Alberni, British Columbia, to William and Elizabeth Imlach. He was raised in Seattle.
On Oct. 1, 1949, he married
Jessie E. (Grant) Monroe in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Mr. Imlach served in the Navy. He later worked for Sears for 31 years.
He was a member of American Legion Post 31 in Shelton.
Survivors include his wife; two stepdaughters, Helen Christofferson of Issaquah and Penny Howe of Port Orchard; a brother, William of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Nan Croxford of Seattle; and three grandchildren, Erik, Paul and Chris.
No service is scheduled.
