Donald Patraw
Donald A. Patraw, 85, of Bremerton died May 12, 1999.
He was born Oct. 17, 1913, in Weston, Wis., to Herman and Ruth (Decker) Patraw. He was raised and educated in Rice Lake, Wis.
On Oct. 6, 1937, he married
Margaret Rubesch in Rice Lake.
Mr. Patraw worked as a sheetmetal supervisor for 28 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of the Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Don and Jerry, both of Bremerton; a daughter, Mary Beth Campbell of Bremerton; a brother, Bill of Rice Lake; a sister, Elaine Lane of Barron, Wis.; and six grandchildren, Debbie and Angela Patraw, Derek and Michael Ormiston and Rebecca and Christopher Campbell, all of Bremerton.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday with rosary recitation immediately following, both at Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, also at Star of the Sea.
Interment will be at Forest Lawn cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Margaret Christensen
Margaret Marie Christensen, 88, of Silverdale died May 11, 1999.
She was born March 1, 1911, in Seattle to Christ Peter and Meta Marie (Jensen) Christen-sen. She was raised and educated in Poulsbo, attending North Kitsap High School.
Miss Christensen worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 25 years, and for Stonecroft Ministries in Kansas City, Mo., for 35 years.
She is survived by her niece, Karen Gentry of Bremerton.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at Crista Shores Nursing Home in Silverdale, with cremation at Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Mary LeClare
Mary Louise LeClare, 78, of Port Gamble died of complications from a stroke May 12, 1999, in Bremerton.
She was born March 26, 1921, in San Francisco to Ellis and Sara (Quayle) Terry. She was raised and educated in Hollywood, Calif., graduating from Westwood High School in 1938.
On Jan. 31, 1942, she married
James E. LeClare in Yuma, Ariz.
Mrs. LeClare worked at the Poulsbo Drug Store for 10 years, retiring in 1974.
She was a member of the Breidablik Grange, the Hood Canal Garden Club and the Music and Arts Club of Port Gamble.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Diane Halvorsen of Bethesda, Md., and Jeanne LeClare of Milton; three grandchildren, Stacy Jones of Des Moines, Iowa, Tracey Halvorsen of Baltimore and Julie Halvorsen of Philadelphia; and two great-grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no services.

Jailyn Ortiz-Cedeno
Jailyn Ortiz-Cedeno, age 1 month, of Bremerton died May 11, 1999, at Children's Hospital in Seattle.
She was born April 9, 1999, in Fort Lewis to Johnny Ortiz-Cedeno and Anita Rachelle Parks.
Survivors include her parents; two sisters, Kierra and Keyanna, both of Bremerton; and her grandparents, Willie and Lois Parks of Oakland, Calif.
A graveside service will be conducted at the San Joaquin National cemetery in Gustine, Calif.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Robert Geier
Robert Joseph Geier, 71, of Belfair died May 12, 1999, in Port Orchard.
He was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Stephen and Orpha (Longbrake) Geier. He lived in South Dakota until age 13, when his family moved to California. He graduated from Pomona High School in 1945.
On Feb. 7, 1949, he married
Lola B. Robinson in Pomona, Calif. Mrs. Geier preceded him in death in 1997.
Mr. Geier served in the Army. He later worked for General Electric, the Farm Hand Corp. and then as a salesman for the John Deere Co. He owned and operated a farm in Sunnyside, where he also sold John Deere machinery, retiring in 1993. After retiring, he and his wife moved to Belfair.
Survivors include three sons, William of Belfair, Stephen of Bremerton and Robert of Denver; a daughter, DeAnne Wade of El Cajon, Calif.; a brother, Daryl of Mount Clare, Calif.; a sister, Marge Martin of Denver; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A funeral liturgy will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair.
Entombment will be at Pomona Valley Memorial Park in Pomona.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Joseph Mader
Joseph C. Mader, 47, of Port Orchard died May 10, 1999, at his home.
He was born Nov. 9, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Cecil and Barbara (Gerken) Mader. He graduated from Palos Verde High School in Tucson, Ariz.
On Feb. 25, 1978, he married
Linda Jackson in Tucson.
He relocated to Port Orchard with his family in 1990, and worked as a parts manager for Kitsap Transit.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jason of Port Orchard; his mother; four brothers, Mark of Washington, and Mike, Bill and Danny, all of Arizona; and two sisters, Kathy Lithgow and Mary Walinski, both of Arizona.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Haven of Rest Chapel in Gig Harbor. Interment
will be at Haven of Rest Memorial Park.

Richard Rowe
Richard H. Rowe, 49, of Silverdale died May 11, 1999.
He was born May 13, 1949, in Portland, Ore., to Vern and Karina (Shortt) Rowe. He was educated in Bremerton schools, attending East High School. He later received his associate in arts degree from Olympic College.
Mr. Rowe worked as a toxicologist and chemist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard until retiring as a result of a disability.
Survivors include a son, Ricky of Kissimmee, Fla.; a daughter, Dawn of Port Orchard; his fiancee, Celia Justiniano of Bremerton; and a grandchild, Damion Rowe of Kissimmee.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Cremation will be at Cherry Grove Memorial Park.

Frank Bratonia
Frank W. Bratonia, 82, of Bremerton died May 12, 1999.
He was born Oct. 30, 1916, in Tacoma to Matt and Frances Bratonia. He was raised and educated in Tacoma, graduating from Lincoln High School. He went on to receive his bachelor's degree from Washington State University and his master's degree from Central Washington University.
On Dec. 29, 1945, he married
Claire Wilson in Seattle.
Mr. Bratonia served in the Navy from 1940 to 1946. He later worked as an educator at Coontz Junior High School from 1951 to 1955, and at East High School from 1956 until his retirement in 1982.
He was a life member of the Elks Club, an active member of the YMCA, a member of the Poggie Club, was the past president of the Bremerton Athletic Roundtable and served on the YMCA Board and the Recreation Board for Kitsap County.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark of Sequim; a daughter, Shelley of Fairview, Ore.; two sisters, Rose Stolarski and Lucille Lewis, both of Tacoma; and four grandchildren, Brian, Aaron, Adam and Linsey Bratonia, all of Sequim.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday and a memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, both at Miller-Woodlawn Chapel.
Inurnment will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Eva Gnos
Eva Katherine Gnos, 83, of Poulsbo died May 11, 1999, in Silverdale.
She was born Aug. 13, 1915, in The Dalles, Ore., to John and Margaret (Hahman) Perry. She was raised and educated in Oregon, graduating from Condon High School in 1933.
On Aug. 14, 1938, she married
Joseph H. Gnos in Hillsboro, Ore.
Mrs. Gnos worked at the Poulsbo Drug Store from 1966 to 1968. She then worked for the City of Poulsbo as a secretary from 1968 until her retirement in 1978.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo for 59 years. She also was a member of the Meadowmeer Golf and Country Club on Bainbridge Island and many league teams at All Star Lanes in Silverdale.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Perry of Oakhurst, N.J.; a daughter, Shirley Hill of Poulsbo; a brother, Earl Perry of Hillsboro; and five grandchildren, Heidi and Brian Gnos, both of Oakhurst, and Alex and Adam Hill and Reina Lima, all of Poulsbo.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo.
