Agnes Heuer
Agnes I. Heuer, 94, of Port Orchard died May 4, 1999, at Ridgemont Terrace.
She was born Jan. 30, 1905, in Watertown, S.D., and raised in Seattle.
Mrs. Heuer was a home-maker and member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
Mrs. Heuer was preceded in death by two husbands, Marion Kimble in 1968, and Harry Heuer in 1997.
Survivors include a son, Gerald Kimble of Issaquah; three stepsons, Marvin Heuer of Manchester, Bernard Heuer of Tenino and Ronald Heuer of Port Orchard; three stepdaughters, Patsy Gray of Fort Stockton, Texas, Melanie Campbell of Poulsbo and Michelle Perez of Guam; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, George Kimble in 1985.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m Sunday with rosary recitation immediately following, both at Rill Chapel. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Gabriel Catholic Church.

Donovan Nordeen
Donovan B. Nordeen, 65, of Bremerton died following a lengthy illness May 7, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born July 4, 1933, in Plainview, Neb., to Carl O. and Ruby L. (Johnson) Norden.
On Jan. 30, 1952, he married
Elizabeth Van Oss.
Mr. Nordeen served in the Navy during the Korean War. He owned barber shops in Silverdale, Winslow, Port Orchard and Bremerton at various times. Before retirement, he taught a class in sociology for two years at Olympic College.
He was a member of Elks Lodge 1181, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 239, American Legion Post 68 and Fleet Reserve Association Branch 29. He also was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert of Silverdale, Blair of Bremerton and Kevin of Edmonds; two daughters, Carla Dashiell and Kimberly Williams, both of Port Orchard; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley Williams.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday with a funeral service immediately following, both at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Refreshments will follow the services.

Dolores Rogers
Dolores Marie Fryberger Rogers, 74, of Bremerton died May 12, 1999, from complica-tions of an aneurism and severe stroke.
She was born June 20, 1924, to Harry and Billie (McIntyre) Fryberger. She was raised in Fort Peck, Mont., and attended Fort Peck High School. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1942.
Mrs. Rogers worked in civil service, with her career beginning in the blueprint department at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in 1942. She then worked in the data processing department and in 1963, transferred to Keyport Naval Torpedo Station, where she served as a supervisory computer specialist. She retired in 1983 as the senior female employee at Keyport.
She was a member of the Retired Eagles Activity Club, a volunteer and member of the Harrison Hospital Auxiliary and a volunteer with the American Cancer Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Dana McCarty of Missoula, Mont., and Janice Bluemer of San Diego; three brothers, Robert of Vaughn, Mont., Jerry of Bangor, Calif., and Jack of Silverdale; two sisters, Fran Rudrud and Bonnie Giese, both of Bremerton; and four grandchildren, Joel Bennett of Seattle, Lesli Bennett of Bremerton, and Zachary and Thomas Bluemer, both of San Diego.
Private services will be conducted.

Theodore Cushner
Theodore J. Cushner, 50, of Port Orchard died May 12, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Dec. 20, 1948, in Spokane to Theodore and Nora (Johnson) Cushner. He was raised and educated in Spokane, attending Rogers High School.
On Sept. 18, 1976, he married
Debbie Simnioniw.
Mr. Cushner had been a jeweler for 11 years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ted and Joe, both of Spokane; two daughters, Tara and Jillene, both of Port Orchard; two brothers, James and Daniel, both of Colorado; a sister, Mary Klepinger of Spokane; and one grandchild, Haylee Cushner of Spokane.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Rill Chapel. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, also at Rill Chapel. Interment
will be at Holy Cross cemetery in Spokane.

Rose Nelsen
Rose Emma Nelsen, 73, of Brinnon died May 10, 1999, at Jefferson General Hospital.
She was born Oct. 6, 1925, in Seattle.
On Nov. 9, 1946, she married
Kenneth N. Nelsen in Seattle.
Mrs. Nelsen was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Kenneth of Des Moines; two daughters, Laurel Christensen of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Jane Thiessen of Olalla; and a brother, John Haberlin of Louisville, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church in Silverdale. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Brinnon cemetery.

Jeannie Cooks
Jeannie M. Cooks, 73, of Bremerton died May 7, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born March 16, 1926, in Shreveport, La., to Fred and Mabel (Jackson) Harrison. She was raised and educated in Shreveport.
On Aug. 12, 1944, she married
Grady Cooks in Shreveport. Mr. Cooks preceded her in death in 1982.
Survivors include a son, Grady Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.; three daughters, Dolores Crain of Tacoma and Mable Dauson and Anne Mae Cook-Ellis, both of Bremerton; seven grandchildren, Tony and Kenneth Crain, both of Tacoma, Dale Cooks of San Diego, Tami Mitchell of Italy, Dominique Dauson of Bremerton and Lynn and Hope Cooks, both of Nashville; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday with funeral services following at 1 p.m., both at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Interment
will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Kenneth Clinton
Kenneth Arthur Clinton, 73, of Quilcene died May 8, 1999, in Port Townsend.
He was born April 7, 1926, in Creosote. He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1947 and the University of Washington with a bachelor's in mechanical engineering in 1950.
On Nov. 3, 1950, he married
Nanette Louise Pratt in Winslow.
Mr. Clinton served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946. He worked for more than 32 years as a nuclear facilities and equipment manager at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Upon his retirement, he was presented with the Navy Superior Civilian Service Award.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kathryn Jackson of Portland, Ore., and Susan Reed of Bremerton; a brother, Owen of San Diego; a sister, Lura of San Diego; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His family is planning a celebration of his life at a later date.

Robert Gartin
Former Kitsap County resident Robert Wayne Gartin, 42, died March 3, 1999, at his home in Milwaukie, Ore.
He was born Sept. 30, 1956, in Corona, Calif. He graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1975. He later obtained a bachelor's degree from Olympic College and continued his education in broadcasting and law.
On April 6, 1993, he married
Carol Jean "Geny" Prudholm in Silverdale.
Mr. Gartin worked for Union Oil as a service station attendant.
Survivors include his wife of Bremerton; his father, W.A. "Buck" Gartin of Bremerton; three brothers; and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Patricia Gartin, in 1998.
Services have been conducted.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County.
Paul Warner
Longtime Bremerton resident Paul Clifford Warner, 90, died May 8, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born July 5, 1908, in Quincy, Ill., to Allen and Mary (Hubbard) Warner. He was raised in Quincy.
Mr. Warner worked as a coppersmith at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1975.
He was a member of the Bremerton Metal Trades Council for 11 years, serving as president from 1972 to 1975. He was on the National Equal Employment Council and was a member of the Warren G. Harding Masonic Lodge 260.
He is survived by his wife, Grace (Maki) Warner.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today at Forest Lawn cemetery.

David McFarland
Longtime Kitsap County resident David Clark McFarland, 64, died of a stroke April 16, 1999, on the island of Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia.
He was born July 1, 1934, in Idaho. He was raised and educated in Idaho.
Mr. McFarland served in the Navy. He later worked as a self-employed subcontractor.
Survivors include two sons, David of Issaquah and Doug of Minnesota; a stepson, Patrick of Washington; a stepdaughter, Darlene of California; six grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
Services were conducted in Pohnpei.
