Hazel Johnson
Hazel Muriel Johnson, 83, died June 29, 1999, in Kingman, Ariz. She had been a Bremerton resident for more than 20 years.
She was born Sept. 7, 1915, in Macomb, Okla. She worked in civil service for the post office as a clerk and was the postmaster's secretary in Bremerton.
Survivors include a daughter, Muriel Bishop of Kingman; a stepdaughter, Judy Wagner of Great Falls, Mont.; a son, Jim Stancil of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; a sister, Lila Winters of Harrah, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service took place July 3 at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home in Kingman.

Nadine Dunham
Nadine Dunham, 85, of Port Orchard died July 8, 1999, at Belmont Terrace Convalescent Center.
She was born Dec. 17, 1913, in Portland, Ore., to James and Margaret Sherwood. She grew up in Port Orchard.
She married
Maurice Dunham on May 10, 1929, in Port Orchard. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Mrs. Dunham was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Ray of Port Orchard; two daughters, Jo Ann Brash of Purdy and Anne McIlhenny of Bremerton; two brothers, Beryl Sherwood of Brownsville and Elvin Sherwood of Puyallup; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, also at Rill Chapel. Interment
will take place at Sunset Lane cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Peter Georgieff
Peter T. Georgieff, 84, of Poulsbo died July 7, 1999, at Harrison Hospital of a heart attack.
He was born March 5, 1915, in Woinici, Bulgaria. He was raised and educated in Woinici.
He married
Rosalie S. Bitschene on Jan. 26, 1946, in Heidelberg, Germany.
Mr. Georgieff worked as a warehouseman for The Bon Marche for 27 years, retiring in 1981.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Gabrielle Gaylord of Poulsbo; and six grandchildren, Stephanie Bols of Bellingham, Elizabeth and Matthew Gaylord, both of Poulsbo, and Travis Gaylord and Shannon and Grant Korzetz, all of Seattle.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel. Interment
will follow at Mountain View cemetery in Silverdale.

Daniel Sackett
Daniel Arthur Sackett, 67, of Port Orchard died July 7, 1999, at his home.
He was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Cleveland.
Mr. Sackett served in the Army. He worked for Puget Power in Renton and Seattle for 30 years until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam; a son, Allen of Edmonds; three daughters, Lorna Kenny of Cle Elum, Shana Drake of Renton and Christine Wilson of Auburn; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
At his request there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee Funeral & Cremation Services of Bremerton.

Clifford Hage
Clifford M. Hage, 80, of Bremerton died July 2, 1999, at Forest Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born June 16, 1919, in Glenside, Saskatchewan, Canada. He was raised in Lake Stevens near Everett.
He married
Valla M. Mottner on April 2, 1943, in Bremerton.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Trena (Hage) Hewitt of Port Orchard and Toni Hage of Surprise, Ariz.; a brother, Arthur Hage of Bremerton; four granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Elva Collins
Elva Viola Collins, 79, of Shelton died July 9, 1999, at her home of natural causes.
She was born March 22, 1920, in Bremerton to John and Martha Pearl (Daniels) Cope.
She married
"Les" Leslie Collins in Bremerton in 1960.
She worked as a clerk typist for the Washington Correctional Center in Shelton.
She was a member of Agate Grange in Shelton.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sharon (Morford) Sale of Bremerton and Janice (Morford) LaJeret of Tacoma; a sister, June Cope of Bremerton; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Morford.
A graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Shelton Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of McComb Funeral Home in Shelton.
Wayne Wilson
Wayne Allen Wilson, 59, of Port Orchard died July 3, 1999, at his home.
He was born July 8, 1939, in Gunnison, Colo.
He married
Wanda Joann Mathews in Tucson, Ariz., in 1960.
Mr. Wilson served in the Navy. He later worked as a heavy equipment operator in gold and copper mines.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ralph of Port Orchard; and three grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no services. Inurnment will be at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee Funeral & Cremation Services of Bremerton.
Jeanne LaShell-Cook
Jeanne Elizabeth LaShell-Cook, 49, of Bremerton died July 7, 1999, at Harrison Hospital of pneumonia following a lengthy bout with leukemia.
She was born May 2, 1950, in Bellingham to Jack H. and Anne (Crook) LaShell. She was raised in Bellingham and in Escondido, Calif., graduating from Escondido High School in 1968.
She graduated from Escondido Beauty College and attended Palomar College in California. She also attended Bible college in Everett for two years and, in 1997, was ordained a pastor in TNT Ministries.
She married
Richard Cook on Dec. 2, 1995, in Friday Harbor.
She had worked as activity director at Friday Harbor Convalescent and at Port Orchard Care Center.
She had been active in Brownies, Girls Scouts and Job's Daughters. She served many churches as a musician.
Survivors include her husband; her parents; three sons, James, David and Kenneth Stauffer, all of Bremerton; a daughter, Jackie Stauffer of Bremerton; two brothers, James LaShell of Maple Valley and the Rev. John LaShell of Allentown, Pa.; and three grandchildren, Laura, Kayla and Dacota Stauffer.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Greenacres Funeral Home in Bellingham. Burial will take place at Greenacres Memorial Park.

Wilbur Wright
Wilbur M. Wright, 81, of Bremerton died June 30, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Sept. 12, 1917, in West Liberty, Iowa.
He married
Evelyn V. Anderson on July 25, 1957, in Walnut Creek, Calif.
Mr. Wright served in the Navy, retiring as a chief petty officer. He served aboard the USS Lexington.
After leaving the Navy, he worked for the Washington State Liquor Control Board for 20 years until his retirement.
Mr. Wright was a member of Elks Lodge 1811, the USS Lexington Minutemen and had been a member of a dance club for many years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, James Trubody of Caster Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Rae Horn of West Seattle and Lana Tapscott of Bremerton; his twin sister, Wilma Sterner of Iowa; a second sister, Inez Giocometti of Bremerton; and five grandchildren, Brian, Kelly and Erin Aitchison, all of West Seattle, and Nicole and Benjamin Tapscott, both of Bremerton.
At his request, there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Jack Sexton
Alvie Theron "Jack" Sexton, 62, of Poulsbo died July 5, 1999, of cancer at his home.
He was born Nov. 17, 1936, at Bear Canyon Ranch in Morton, Wash., to Theron and Mildred (Forsell) Sexton. He grew up in Morton and in Craig, Alaska, graduating from Morton High School in May 1955.
He married
Mary A. Thayer on Sept. 13, 1958, in Ellensburg.
Mr. Sexton served in the Army from July 1955 to April 1958. He was stationed in Juneau, Alaska, with the Army Signal Corps.
After leaving the Army, he worked with his parents aboard the MV Nite Cap, a 47-foot troller he helped his father build. They fished in southeastern Alaska.
Mr. Sexton later worked at the The Boeing Co. Developmental Center in Seattle for one year. He then returned to Juneau, where he was employed by Alaska Communication System as an accountant, teletype repairman and installer from May 1959 to January 1971, when his family moved to Poulsbo.
Mr. Sexton worked for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from February 1971 to October 1979, when he transferred to the Trident Refit Facility at Bangor. He retired in April 1993.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Juneau and in Bremerton. He coached Little League and was active in both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts with his three sons.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Tim, John and Dennis, all of Poulsbo; three granddaughters, Stephanie Sexton of Omak and Jennifer and Jessica Sexton, both of Poulsbo; and one grandson, Sean Sexton of Poulsbo.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Olaf's Catholic Church in Poulsbo. Arrangements are under the direction of Kitsap Cremation & Burial Society.
