Ella Walker
Ella Elizabeth Walker, 84, of Bremerton died July 26, 1998, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 25, 1914, in Seattle. She graduated from Kent High School.
Mrs. Walker was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Wadsworth; four stepdaughters, Cynthia Lesh of Quilcene, Joan Hartmann of Benson, Ariz., Pat Palmage of Kingston, and Charlotte Walker of Gig Harbor; two stepsons, Joel Wadsworth of Belfair and Fred Walker Jr. of Sequim; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Viewing for the family will be July 30 at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 1 at Lewis Funeral Chapel with a reception to follow.
Robert McKowski
Robert McKowski, 78, of Bremerton died July 27, 1998, at Bremerton Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born May 22, 1920, in Duluth, Minn.
On June 14, 1941, he married
Lois Patricia Phillips in Duluth.
Mr. McKowski served in the Army from 1942 to 1945. He made his living as a furniture maker until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Phillip of Tacoma; a daughter, Patricia Gascoyne of Seabeck; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Cremation will take place under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Mae Andersen
Mae Agnes Andersen, 98, of Tacoma died July 26, 1998, at Park Rose Health Care Center in Tacoma.
She was born July 9, 1900, in Little Rock, Ark. She graduated from Tekoa High School and went on to Cheney Normal, majoring in foreign language and physical education.
On Oct. 4, 1942, she married
Iver Andersen in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Mrs. Andersen was a homemaker under WPA. She was also a matron on Beach and Coach, in sales. She also ran a boarding house on Park Avenue in Bremerton during World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Vivian Czarnecki of Tacoma and Jackie Scribner of Asheville, N.C.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Gawenka and by her husband, Iver Andersen.
Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 30 at Lewis Funeral Chapel, with funeral services following at 3 p.m.

Bonny Bass Londean
Bonny Bass Londean, 91, of Bremerton died July 28, 1998.
She was born Feb. 20, 1907, in Fairbanks, Alaska. She received a bachelor's degree from Seattle Pacific University and a master's degree from Colorado State University.
She made her living as an elementary teacher in the Redwood City School District in California.
Survivors include two sons, Henry of Tahuya and Willard of Temple City, Calif.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A private family memorial will be conducted.
Memorials may be made to the First Church of Christ Scientist, Bainbridge Island.
Elizabeth Miller
Elizabeth Ella Miller, 91, of Bremerton died July 17, 1998, at Port Orchard Care Center.
She was born June 22, 1907, in Germany. She completed high school in Holland.
On July 19, 1935, she married
Fred Miller in New York. He preceded her in death in 1979.
Mrs. Miller made her living for 10 years in the garment industry in New York.
Survivors include a brother, Erwin Riechmann of Bremerton; three nieces, Susan Conn of Bremerton, Leslie Marrs of Port Orchard, and Shirley Winters of New York.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at Forest Lawn cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Oma Lawes
Oma E. Lawes, 78, of Port Orchard died July 29, 1998.
She was born Feb. 29, 1920, in Attila, Ky.
In 1937 she married
Joe B. Lawes in Muscatine, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Mrs. Lawes was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Joanne Moon of Port Orchard and Mary Beil of Twenty-Nine Palms, Calif.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 3 at Sunset Lane cemetery, Port Orchard.

Mabel Bisson
Mabel M. Bisson, 95, of Bremerton died July 26, 1998.
She was born March 15, 1903, in Phillipsburg, Pa.
She married
Dr. Daniel G. Bisson in 1962 in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Mrs. Bisson worked in Pennsylvania prior to moving to Bremerton. She worked for Bremer's Department Store for several years prior to her marriage.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Kleis of Fort Meyers, Fla., and Jeanne Dodrill of Bothel; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. July 29 at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Interment
will be at Forest Lawn cemetery, Bremerton.
Memorials may be made to the Bremerton Kiwanis.
Brian Montgomery
Brian Andrew Montgomery, 23, of Poulsbo died July 24, 1998.
He was born Sept. 6, 1974, in Bremerton.
Brian graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1992, and from the University of California at Berkeley with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering in 1997.
He had worked for the Old Republic Title Co. in Seattle since February, 1998.
Survivors include his parents, Eileen and Monty Montgomery of Poulsbo; a sister, Theresa of London, England; and a grandfather, Arthur Julesburg of Seattle.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. July 29 at St. Olaf's Catholic Church, Poulsbo. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. July 30, also at St. Olaf's Catholic Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Poulsbo Mortuary, "The Stone Chapel," Poulsbo.

Frank Jolley
Frank Leo Jolley, 81, of Allyn died July 27, 1998, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 10, 1916, in Yelm. He graduated from Yelm High School.
On July 4, 1939, he married
Martha Stock in Tacoma.
Mr. Jolley worked for the Port Gamble saw mill. He later worked for the Mason County Highway Department until his retirement in 1979.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sharon Floyd of Allyn and Charlotte Berry of Gig Harbor; a sister, "Bert" Gwyn of Bremerton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Frank's home in Allyn at 1 p.m. July 31.

Nellie Ousley
Nellie Ousley, 80, of Bremerton died July 25, 1998.
She was born Nov. 4, 1917, in Gilette, Ark.
On Feb. 14, 1941, she married
Leroy Ousley in Dewitt, Ark. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Mrs. Ousley worked as a certified nurse's assistant for more than 25 years, retiring from the Belmont Terrace Nursing Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Ernestine Woodworth of Bremerton and Mary Tally of Puyallup; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no services.
