Louise Screen
Louise Clark Screen, 95, of Silverdale died July 19, 1998.
She was born Aug. 7, 1902, in Ottumwa, Iowa. She graduated from Ottumwa High School.
On April 1, 1932, she married
Robert R. Screen. Mr. Screen preceded her in death in 1949.
Mrs. Screen was a bank teller at Seattle Federal Reserve Bank for 10 years. She later worked at Seattle First National Bank on Broadway in Seattle from 1946 to 1955. In 1956 she went to work as a bookkeeper for Dick's Drive-In until her retirement in 1965.
Survivors include a daughter, Lucinda Hart of San Dimas, Calif.; a son, Robert C. Screen of Bainbridge Island; and six grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. July 23 at King's Chapel, Vivian Martin Center, Christa Senior Ministries, 19327 King's Garden Drive, Shoreline, WA. Interment
will be at Acacia Memorial Park, Seattle.

Mark Williams
Mark Takawira Williams, 26, of Seattle died July 14, 1998.
He was born June 30, 1972, in Youngstown, Ohio.
He attended both Bremerton High School and the University of Washington.
Survivors include three brothers, Robert Williams of Seattle, Colin and Kevin Sylvester, both of Bremerton; a sister, Evelyn Jones of Tacoma; his parents, Cheryl Pixley of Bremerton and Robert Williams of Oak Park, Ill.; his grandparents, Robert and Betty Williams of Youngstown, Ohio, and the Rev. Elwillie Weathers of Youngstown, Ohio.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m., July 24, with funeral services following at 12 noon at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home, 5505 Kitsap Way, Bremerton.
Richard Jones
Richard Wiley Jones, 75, of Port Orchard died July 19, 1998.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1923, in Portland, Ore.
Mr. Jones served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He later made his living as an auto mechanic for the South Kitsap School District.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Elsie of Port Orchard; three sons, Richard Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, Donald of Cle Elum, and Robert of Bremerton; three daughters, Barbara Rodgers of Des Moines, Delores Lehman of Bow, and Betty Christine of Lakebay; two brothers, William of Kirkland and Thomas of Edmonds; two sisters, Rita Walker of Tigard, Ore., and Elizabeth O'Boyle of Longbeach, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be on Aug. 22, 1998, at a location to be announced.
Arrangements are under the direction of Haven of Rest, Gig Harbor.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Heart Association.
Elizabeth Lake
Elizabeth "Betty" Lake, 89, a longtime Tacoma restaurateur, died July 17 at the Port Orchard Care Center.
She was born Dec. 18, 1908. She married
Harlan B. Lake on Nov. 5, 1927, in Burr Oak, Kan. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice M. Goodman; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Piper-Morley Funeral Home, 5436 S. Puget Sound, Tacoma, preceded by a visitation there from 10 a.m. until the service begins. A graveside service will follow at New Tacoma cemetery.

Tilda Palla
Tilda Elizabeth Palla, 89, of Port Townsend died July 18, 1998, at Kah Tai Care Center in Port Townsend.
She was born Dec. 20, 1908, in Seattle. She married
Martin J. Palla on Feb. 16, 1948, in Port Angeles.
For 35 years she operated restaurants, most recently The Palms restaurant in Port Townsend.
She is survived by her husband, Martin; a son, James Glen of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughters Jacqueline Greenwood of Bremerton and Jacii Tucker of Fredericksburg, Va.; brothers Chriss Widman of Port Orchard and Walter Widman of Cathlamet; a sister, Marthie Poor of Sedro Woolley; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. July 23 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Port Townsend, preceded by a 10:45 a.m. Rosary.
Memorial donations can be made to the church or its Ladies Guild, 1335 Blaine St., Port Townsend, WA 98368, or a favorite charity.
Linda Young
Linda Mary Young, 52, of Port Orchard died July 14, 1998, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 25, 1946, in Seattle.
Mrs. Young worked at the Kitsap Federal Credit Union for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Boyd of Port Orchard; a son, Ken of Puyallup; a daughter, Wendy Vermalen of Port Orchard; her mother Bernice Middlebrook of Port Orchard; a brother, Floyd Middlebrook of Port Orchard; a sister, Robin Smith of Port Orchard; and one grandchild.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. July 18 at Haven of Rest Chapel, Gig Harbor.

Nina Greenwood
Nina Aiko Greenwood, age 3 months, died July 15, 1998, at Tacoma General Hospital.
She was born March 27, 1998, in Tacoma.
Survivors include her parents, Todd and Akiko Greenwood of Bremerton; her twin sister, Julia Greenwood of Bremerton; her paternal grandfather and step- grandmother, Jack and Linda Greenwood of Grapeview; her paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Penny and Don Guimond of Keyport; her maternal grandparents, Jiro and Fumiko Nishikiori of Tokyo, Japan; her paternal great-grandmother, Gladys Greenwood of Vancouver, Wash.; her paternal great-grandparents, Bud and Joni Greeno of Tigard, Ore.; her maternal great-grandmother, Chiyo Nishikiori of Tokyo, Japan.
At the families request, there will be no services.

William Stone
William G. Stone, 78, of Port Orchard died July 15, 1998, at his home.
He was born April 1, 1920, in Blox, Texas.
He graduated from high school in Beaumont, Texas. Later he completed a four-year apprenticeship sheet metal program at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
On Dec. 13, 1943, he married
Gloria R. Cramer in Bremerton.
Mr. Stone served from 1939 to 1970 in the Navy and in the Naval Reserves. He was a World War II veteran. He made his living as a sheet metal layout man for 24 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard until his retirement in 1972.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sandra Barry of Bremerton and Pamela Vant of Port Orchard; two brothers, Jerry Inman of San Antonio, Texas, and Louis Stone of Houston; a sister, Jane Stringfellow of Mobile, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. July 22 at First Lutheran Church, Port Orchard.

Mary Knutson
Mary E. Knutson, 76, of Bremerton died July 6, 1998, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 28, 1922, in Tacoma. She was raised and educated in Edmonds where she graduated from high school.
Mrs. Knutson was a homemaker.
Survivors include five daughters, Marilyn Morris of Haines, Alaska, Ellen Simodi of San Diego, Calif., Anita Schiffner, Denise Justice and Doris Hickerson, all of Bremerton; four sons, Erik Lippy of Belfair, Mark Lippy of Kennewick, John Lippy of Bremerton and Scott Lippy of Haines, Alaska; a brother, Harvey Knutson of Seattle; 31 grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
At the families request, there will be no services.

Thomas Farrow
Thomas Eugene Farrow, 68, of Port Orchard died July 6, 1998, at Port Orchard Care Center.
He was born July 26, 1929, in Renton. He went on to graduate from Renton High School.
On May 27, 1950, he married
Shirley Ann Harder in Renton.
Mr. Farrow was an inspector for The Boeing Co. in Everett for 37 years until his retirement in 1985.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Steven of Seattle and Ricky of Bothell; two daughters, Judy of Farrow and Cynthia Taylor, both of Port Orchard; a brother, Bill of California; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. July 8 at Sunset Lane cemetery.
