Jerry Arnett Jr.
Jerry Gene Arnett Jr., 32, of Port Orchard died Nov. 14, 1999, in San Diego.
He was born March 16, 1967, in Redwood City, Calif., to Jerry and Judy Arnett. He grew up in Port Orchard, graduating from South Kitsap High School in 1985 and attending college in Seattle.
Mr. Arnett had worked as a hotel clerk for 10 years in Seattle and in San Diego.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Jerry and Judy Arnett of Port Orchard; his mother and stepfather, Judy and Rick Dalton of California; three brothers, John of Port Orchard, Dave Mauldin of Des Moines and Rick Mauldin of Home; and three sisters, Sherry Parker, Bonnie and Barbara, all of Port Orchard.

Mabel Adams
Mabel Margaret Adams, 90, of Silverdale died Nov. 21, 1999, at Crista Shores Assisted Living in Silverdale. She had been a resident of the Lofall area of North Kitsap since 1942.
She was born March 9, 1909, in Forest River, N.D., to Harry Clemence and Anna (Borse) Salisbury. She grew up in Grand Forks, N.D., graduating from Grand Forks High School in 1927.
She had been a clerk in various retail stores for 20 years. She had been retired for 25 years.
She had been a member of the Retail Clerks Union.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Vondersmith of Ketchikan, Alaska, and Douglas Vondersmith of Poulsbo; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Adams, and by a daughter, Beverly Ann Carmody.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to Salvation Army, P.O. Box 886, Bremerton, WA 98337.

Dale Uhrich
Dale Troy Daniel Uhrich, 32, of Port Orchard died
Nov. 20, 1999, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
He was born Aug. 18, 1967, in Norwalk, Calif., to Dan Paul and Mae Francis (Smith) Uhrich. He grew up in Benicia, Calif., graduating from New Life Christian Academy there in 1985.
Mr. Uhrich had worked as a checker at Costco in Silverdale for the past nine years.
Survivors include his parents of Port Orchard; one brother, William Robertson of Advance, N.C.; two sisters, Janice Thorne of Clemmons, N.C., and Katherine Faircloth of Port Orchard; his paternal grandparents, Daniel and Glaydes Uhrich of Temecula, Calif., and his maternal grandparents, W.H. and Pernelia Inman of St. Paul's, N.C.
A funeral service is planned for noon Friday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. Inurnment will take place at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.

Harold Cigler
Harold Joseph Cigler, 83, of Port Orchard died Nov. 19, 1999, in Tacoma.
He was born July 24, 1916, in Chicago.
Mr. Cigler was retired from the Army Reserves.
He was a member of the Masons in Bremerton, the Shriners, the Scottish Rite, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
He was a musician, having played the clarinet and saxophone from high school throughout his life. He was a life member of the American Federation of Musicians.
Survivors include one son, Richard of Texas; one daughter, Dolores Dippolito of Tacoma; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Ruth, and by a son, James.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Masonic Temple of Bremerton. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3101 SW Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland, OR 97201.

Roxanne McCurdy
Roxanne Elaine McCurdy, 52, of Port Orchard died Nov. 19, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born June 20, 1947, in Livingston, Mont. She attended Bremerton High School.
She married Richard David McCurdy on Oct. 18, 1968, in Missoula, Mont.
Mrs. McCurdy was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles No. 2338 in Port Orchard.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Delancey Woods of Bremerton and Richard McCurdy of Port Orchard; one daughter, Deborah Woods of Port Orchard; two brothers, Gary and Jake Kanouse, both of Bremerton; and three grandchildren, Miles, Jack and Haley Woods.
A memorial service is planned for noon Sunday at The Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2338 in Port Orchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee Funeral Home of Bremerton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Kitsap Unit, P.O. Box 2383, Bremerton, WA 98310.

Irene Mathews
Irene G. Mathews, 79, of Belfair died Nov. 21, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Sept. 15, 1920, in Blaine. She graduated from South Kitsap High School.
She married Chester J. Mathews in 1944, in Portland, Ore. He preceded her in death in 1962.
Mrs. Mathews had been a custodian for The Boeing Co. for 15 years. She also had been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Belfair.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald of Belfair and Rodney of Seattle; one sister, Norma Wilder of Seattle; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at Twin Firs cemetery in Belfair. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Mary McCord
Mary W. McCord, 83, of Bremerton died Nov. 22, 1999, at her home.
She was born May 24, 1916, in Mildred, Mont. She was raised and educated in Montana.
She had worked as a restaurant waitress. She also had been a member of Tracyton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Milton Webster of Laurel, Mont.; two daughters, Persis Morris and Marilyn Winterowd, both of Bremerton; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death.
Burial with a graveside service will take place at Mountain View cemetery in Livingston, Mont. A memorial service will be held in Bremerton at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Memorial donations may be made to Tracyton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 127, Tracyton, WA 98393.

Lee Marsh
Former Poulsbo resident O.L. "Lee" Marsh, 81, of Weiser, Idaho, died Oct. 11, 1999, at his home.
He was born May 4, 1918, in Rockville, W.Va.
Mr. Marsh served in the Marine Corps for approximately 10 years, achieving the rank of master sergeant and becoming an expert in jungle warfare. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War, receiving numerous military decorations.
He survived five major campaigns in the South Pacific during WWII, including the battle of the island of Tarawa. He was on Iwo Jima when the United States flag was raised.
He worked as a long line driver for Garrett Freight Lines out of Idaho and Oregon, retiring after 18 years.
Mr. Marsh had been a member of the American Legion in Bremerton.
Survivors include his wife, Robbie of Suquamish; two sons, Mike and Steve; three daughters, Nancy, Linda and Colette; one stepson, Matt; and one stepdaughter, April; and many grandchildren.
No services are planned. Memorial donations may be made to USMC Toys for Tots, 4087 Harvard, Building 800, Boise, ID 83705, attention Sgt. Hobbs.

Leonila Centeno
Leonila Centeno, 92, of Silverdale died Nov. 22, 1999, at Forest Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center of natural causes.
She was born Jan. 17, 1907, in the Philippines, to Pedro and Thomasa (Cachero) Leygo. She grew up in Baguio, Philippines.
She married Constancio Centeno. He preceded her in death in 1969.
Survivors include one son, Ben of Silverdale; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Marylane in 1962, and by a son, Enrique, in 1998.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Selah Lammers
Selah Marr Lammers, 98, of Port Orchard died Nov. 22, 1999, in Port Orchard.
She was born Nov. 10, 1901, to Enos and Caltha (Brasher) Hubbard in Jericho Springs, Mo. She grew up in Jericho Springs and married Howard Lammers Aug. 15, 1938, in Stockton, Calif.
Mrs. Lammers was a retired telephone operator. She worked in the Port Orchard and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard telephone offices in the 1940s and 1950s. In the 1960s, she taught preschool in Port Orchard.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Grinnell and Naomi Wilkins of Southworth and Donna Faye Peterson of Edmonds; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996; two brothers, Orvill and Harold Hubbard; and a sister, Emlu Petronelli.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Rill Chapel. A funeral service and burial will follow.

Doris Thomas
Doris Elizabeth Thomas, 100, of Grand Coulee died Nov. 21, 1999, in Grand Coulee.
She was born Feb. 10, 1899, in Dover Hill, Ind., to Thomas and Elsie (Fawcett) Stiles. She grew up in Dover Hill and graduated from Bremerton High School in 1917.
She married Henry C. Thomas in 1922 in Keyport. He preceded her in death in 1974.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Christian Women's Club, the Child Evangelism Fellowship and Sylvan Way Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Leon of Grand Coulee and Larry of Bothell; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be at noon Saturday with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Miller Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Bremerton.
