Donna Baldwin
Donna Baldwin, 79, of Port Orchard died Nov. 10, 1999, at Life Care Center in Auburn.
She was born March 31, 1920, in Burton, Idaho, to Claude and Lisette Eddington. She was raised in Montana and attended Charlo High School in Charlo, Mont.
She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She married
twice. Her first husband, Harold Carbine, survives her in Kennewick. Her second husband, Guy Baldwin, died in 1993.
Other survivors are three sons, Bill Carbine of Las Vegas, Claude Carbine of Port Orchard and Darrell Carbine of Girdwood, Alaska; three daughters, Lorraine Weese of Dillon, Mont., Dorothy Jean Weese of Kent and Janice Miller of Seymour, Ind.; a stepson, Bob Baldwin of Stafford, Texas; two stepdaughters, Althea Luddington of Puyallup and Barbara Glover of Ventura, Calif.; 28 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A son, James Carbine, died in 1986.
Private family services have been held. Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard handled the arrangements.

Ivy Lyman
Ivy Hutchings Lyman, 93, of Manette died Nov. 13, 1999, in Bremerton.
She was born Dec. 2, 1905, in London. Her family emigrated to Canada when she was 5. The family then moved to Silverdale, where she attended Clear Creek Elementary school. In 1924, she was a member of the first graduating class of Port Washington High School, now Central Kitsap High School.
She was secretary to James Huey while he was Central Kitsap High School's principal and later while he was superintendent of the school district. She retired after 28 years with the district.
She was a member of Sylvan Way Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling and gardening.
She was grand marshal of this year's Whaling Days parade, in part to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Central Kitsap schools.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Lyman of Manette; two sons, George Hutchings of Texas and James Lyman of Kitsap County; three daughters, Niela Redford of Phoenix, Michael Mary Gilliam of Belfair and Martha (Murph) Gagnon of Gig Harbor; a sister, Violet Baker of Vale, Oregon; a brother, Morse Lane of Silverdale, 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Her first husband, Charles Hutchings, died in 1974. Her daughter, Joan Hutchings, also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home in Bremerton. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at at Sylvan Way Baptist Church, with graveside services back at Miller Woodlawn at 1 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Jesus Castro
Jesus Pablo Castro, 62, a resident of Bremerton and Port Orchard for 29 years, died Nov. 12, 1999.
He was born March 1, 1937, in Talofofo, Guam.
He worked in civil service for 35 years between work in Guam and as a heavy equipment operator in Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Gig Harbor, the Knights of Columbus and the Guam Club.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming, gardening and cooking.
Survivors include his wife, Maria, of Port Orchard; nine daughters, Virginia Bumguardner and Priscilla Korf, both of Port Orchard, Rosita Sablan of Gig Harbor, Arlene Semides of Killeen, Texas, Juanita Castaneda, Jesusa Jones and Juana Paulino, all of Guam, Maria Hansen of Vancouver, Wa., and Annie Paulino of Moreno Valley, Calif.; a son, Jesus Castro of Guam; two brothers, Rafael Castro of Vancouver, Wa., and Tomas Castro of Florida; 41 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Haven of Rest Funeral Home on Highway 16 in Gig Harbor, with a vigil service at 8 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Gig Harbor. Remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association, Washington Affiliate, 4414 Woodland Park Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98103.
Flossie Bowen
Flossie Lucille Bowen, 90, of Bremerton died Nov. 11, 1999, at Forest Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Feb. 26, 1909, in Montague, Mich., to Marvin and Florence (Boyden) Walworth. She grew up in Muskegon, Mich., and was married
there.
Mrs. Bowen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Yakima, Toastmistress International, the American Baptist Women and Welcome Wagon.
She is survived by three daughters, Grace Filion of Bremerton, Beatrice Storkson of Los Angeles and Doris Harris of Cottage Grove, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 27 in Cottage Grove, Ore. Her body was willed to the University of Washington Medical School.

Marie Campbell
Marie Jane Campbell, 79, of Keyport died Nov. 10, 1999, at her home.
She was born June 6, 1920, in Keyport to James and Mae (Watland) Dougherty. She grew up in North Kitsap and graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1938.
She married
George A. Campbell on March 18, 1939, in Bremerton.
Mrs. Campbell worked at Naval Torpedo Station Keyport during World War II. She went into the civil service in Oakland, Calif., in the late 1940s. From 1953 to 1963, she owned and operated G&M Typewriter & Singer Sewing Machine Center in California.
In 1963, she and her husband moved back to Keyport. She went to work at the Poulsbo Golf Club Pro Shop.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of AARP, the Keyport Improvement Club, the Poulsbo Golf Club and St. Olaf's Catholic Church.
She is survived by a sister, Edith Kimbro of Seattle; an uncle, Alf Watland of Poulsbo; an aunt, Gladys Odden of Silverdale; and many cousins in Kitsap County. Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Olaf's Catholic Church in Poulsbo.
Arrangements are being handled by Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel.

William Gosnell
William Henry Gosnell, 67, of Silverdale died Nov. 9, 1999, in Moreno Valley, Calif.
He was born April 9, 1932, in Greenville, Tenn., to Paul and Milum Gosnell.
He married
Beryl Snedicor. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Gosnell served in the Navy for 24 years, retiring as a chief boatswain's mate. He also retired from the Keyport Torpedo Station.
He was a member of Fleet Reserve Post 29, the KOA camping club and was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 239.
Survivors include a son, William "Reb" of Livingston, Calif.; two stepsons, Louis "Mike" Scheschy of Seattle and Terry Scheschy of Victorville, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Jodene Martinson of Auburn and Lori Bartie of Moreno Valley; five sisters, Rosa Renner, Delphine Fillers, Alice Hoover and Arma, all of Greenville, and Emma Dean Davis of Morristown, Tenn.; a brother, Edward of Greenville; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Skyler Martin
Skyler Joseph Martin, 2 days old, died Nov. 9, 1999, at Tacoma General Hospital.
He was born Nov. 7, 1999, in Tacoma, to Michael Martin and Kimberly Galey of Port Orchard.
He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Curtis and Jordan; and his grandparents, Carole and Michael Galey and Linoa and Robert Martin, all of Port Orchard.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Bonnie Dixon
Bonnie Maxine Dixon, 72, of Bremerton died Nov. 10, 1999, at her home of diabetes.
She was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Springfield, Mo., to Gus and Martha (Irwin) Looney. She grew up in Portola Valley, Calif., graduating from Sequoia High School in Redwood City, Calif., in 1944.
She worked at Dairy Queen in Vallejo, Calif., George's Cafe in Bremerton and Bremer's Restaurant in Bremerton for two years, retiring in 1982.
She married
Francis Charles Dixon on Feb. 15, 1947, in Portola Valley.
She was a member of the Puget Sound Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Patricia Stelmach of San Jose, Calif., and Christine Hinish of Port Orchard; a brother, Joe Looney of Portola Valley; three grandchildren, Teresa Blake of Seattle, Scotty Hinish of Port Orchard and Anthony Stelmach of San Jose; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald.
A service is planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Richard McKnight
Former Bremerton resident Richard G. McKnight, 81, of Tacoma died Oct. 30, 1999, at Atria Laurel House in Tacoma of natural causes.
He was born April 22, 1918, in Olympia, to Joseph W. and Edna (Brazel) McKnight. He attended schools in Olympia, graduating from high school in 1936, and from the College of Puget Sound in 1940, with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry.
Mr. McKnight met his wife of 57 years, Audrey Albertson, while attending college. They were married
in Colorado Springs, Colo., in 1942, moving to Bremerton from Renton in 1948.
He served in the Navy and Naval Reserve. He worked as a chemical engineer for Boeing for four years and at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from 1948 until his retirement in 1974.
Mr. McKnight was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Bremerton. He was a member of the choir there for 47 years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John of Woodinville; a daughter, Susan Swanson of Olympia; and two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Anne Marie, both of Woodinville.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Nov. 21 at the Kilworth Chapel on the University of Puget Sound campus in Tacoma.
Memorial donations may be made to the University of Puget Sound in memory of Richard G. McKnight or to the Alzheimer's Association.
