William Gosnell
William Henry Gosnell, 67, of Silverdale died Nov. 9, 1999, in Moreno Valley, Calif.
He was born April 9, 1932, in Greenville, Tenn., to Paul and Milum Gosnell.
He married
Beryl Snedicor. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Gosnell served in the Navy for 24 years, retiring as a chief boatswain's mate. He also retired from the Keyport Torpedo Station.
Survivors include his parents; a son, William "Reb" of Livingston, Calif.; two stepsons, Louis "Mike" Scheschy of Seattle and Terry Scheschy of Victorville, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Jodene Martinson of Auburn and Lori Bartie of Moreno Valley; five sisters, Rosa Renner, Delphine Fillers, Alice Hoover and Arma, all of Greenville, and Emma Dean Davis of Morristown, Tenn.; a brother, Edward of Greenville; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Shot Rawls
Eldridge R. "Shot" Rawls, 53, of Tumwater died Nov. 3, 1999, at his home of heart disease. He was a longtime Bremerton resident who moved to Tumwater about a year before his death.
Mr. Rawls was born Sept. 29, 1946, in Virginia Beach, Va., to Roscoe C. Rawls and Bessie Jackson. He was raised in Ocala, Fla.
He married
Felicia Bacon on Aug. 23, 1967, in Ocala. They were divorced in 1997.
Mr. Rawls had worked as a driver for Rancho Trucking since 1987. Before that, he was a plumber and pipefitter for Lent's Plumbing.
He was a member of Grace Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his father; his former wife; two sons, Lecharn of Federal Way and Twayne of Lynnwood; a daughter, Raynette Green of Nitro, W.Va.; four brothers, Ronnie Rawls of Clewiston, Fla., and Alexander Rawls, Alfonzo Jackson and Ivory Jackson, all of Ocala; three sisters, Bettye Denton of Bremerton, and Esther Richard and Fannie Smith, both of Ocala; and six grandchildren, Jordan Rawls of Shoreline, Trae and Tevin Rawls of Lynnwood, Dee Dee and Domonic Green of Nitro and Markus Rawls of Federal Way. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Wardell Rawls.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller-Woodlawn Chapel. A funeral service will follow. Burial will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Fay Heathershaw
Fay Irene Heathershaw, 104, of Port Orchard died Nov. 6, 1999, at Willow Creek Adult Family Home in Port Orchard.
She was born March 14, 1895, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, to Andrew and Nellie (Welch) Kent. She grew up in Bonners Ferry, graduating from Bonners Ferry High School.
She married
Earl Heathershaw on Aug. 11, 1926, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He preceded her in death in 1975.
Mrs. Heathershaw was a member of an Episcopal church in Spokane, where she served as church recorder and was active in the dean's guild.
Survivors include a son, Kent of Southworth; a brother, Ted Kent of Spokane; and two grandchildren, Eric and Lesley.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Lucille Kitchell
Lucille Kitchell, 60, of Poulsbo died Nov. 6, 1999, at Northwoods Lodge in Silverdale.
She was born Sept. 4, 1939, in McCloud, Calif., where she graduated from high school in 1957. She attended Chico State College in California.
She married
Clayton W. Kitchell on Oct. 20, 1973, in Berkeley, Calif.
Mrs. Kitchell was a management training specialist at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center
at Keyport. She retired Sept. 30.
She was a member of the American Iris Society.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Mark Harris of Bremerton and Matthew Harris of Silverdale; three sisters, Arlene Facchin, Linda Gelwick and Celia Richardson, all of Mount Shasta, Calif.; and a brother, Jim Van Keuren of Yuma, Ariz.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Friday at the Poulsbo Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Inurnment will take place at Mount Shasta Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Gladys Tisher
Gladys Bernadotte Tisher, 83, of Bremerton died Nov. 8, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Feb. 9, 1916, in Ambrose, N.D., to Eric and Lilly (Andersen) Rolfsness. She grew up in Seattle, graduating from Ballard High School in 1934.
She worked as a dental assistant from 1934 to 1941, as a department store clerk from 1946 to 1949, and in dairy processing plants from 1950 to 1953. All of these positions were in Seattle.
In 1939, she was a runner-up in the Miss Seattle Beauty Contest and served as a princess in the Washington State 50th Anniversary Potlatch Days Parade and festivities in Seattle.
She married
Lester J. Tisher on Sept. 5, 1958, in Lynnwood.
Survivors include her husband and a brother, Kenneth Rolfsness of Grain Valley, Mo.
At her request, no services are planned.
Everett Stull Jr.
Everett R. Stull Jr., 69, of Port Orchard died Nov. 6, 1999, at Port Orchard Care Center.
He was born May 11, 1930, in Creagerstown, Md., to Everett R. and Grace (Troxell) Stull. He grew up in Frederick, Md., graduating from Frederick High School.
Mr. Stull served in the Air Force from 1948 to 1968, retiring as a master sergeant. He was a Korean War veteran and a member of Korean Veterans Chapter 142.
He was a financial manager in the paper industry in Phoenix for 22 years, retiring in 1992.
He married
Barbara Tuttle on Feb. 15, 1963, in Ottawa, Canada. She preceded him in death in 1997.
Mr. Stull was a member of Frederick High School's first football team in 1946. He also was a scoutmaster for Boy Scouts in America and Canada, a hockey coach and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2669 in Port Orchard.
Survivors include two sons, Cornell of Port Orchard and Jeffrey of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Nina Sizemore of Poteau, Okla.; two sisters, Arlene Paddock of Pennsylvania and Betty Stockman of Frederick; and four grandchildren, Justin and Christina Stull, and Jack and Ben Sizemore.
Interment will take place at Arlington National cemetery, with graveside services there at 2 p.m. Nov. 19. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Craig Helmholz
Craig Steven Helmholz, 25, a resident of Port Orchard for the past four years, died Nov. 7, 1999, in Seattle.
He was born Sept. 3, 1974, in the Gig Harbor area, where he grew up.
Mr. Helmholz was a resident firefighter for Kitsap County Fire District 7. He also was a certified emergency medical technician.
Survivors include his parents, Carol and Steven Helmholz of Fox Island; a sister, Kimberly Schreder of Tacoma; a brother, Chad of Gig Harbor; his grandmothers, Ione Rapp of Tacoma and Louise Jutte of University Place; and his great-grandmother, Rose Pryor of Tacoma.
A funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at Haven of Rest Chapel, Highway 16, in Gig Harbor. Interment
will take place at Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Virginia Kretz
Virginia J. (Stanberry) Kretz, 81, of Bremerton died Nov. 8, 1999, at Bremerton Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center from complications of Parkinson's disease.
She was born Nov. 26, 1917, in Boone, N.C., to Ira W. and Alma (Blackburn) Stanberry. She grew up in Boone, moving to Hoquiam in 1934, and graduating from Hoquiam High School in 1936.
She married
Albin M. Kretz on June 26, 1937, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Hoquiam.
Mrs. Kretz was a homemaker and a member of First Covenant Church in Bremerton.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Paul of Olympia and Thomas of Winlock; a daughter, Patricia Cummings of Bremerton; a brother, Jack Stanberry of Bremerton; a sister, Kathleen Lewis of Corvallis, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death last week by a sister, Edith Espedal of Texas and by several other siblings.
Visitation is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at First Covenant Church, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment
will take place at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Troy Mannon
Troy Shurman Mannon, 71, of Bremerton died Nov. 4, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Dec. 22, 1927, in Paden, Okla.
Mr. Mannon served in the Army from 1946 to 1948.
He married
Barbara Violet Wright Neal on Jan. 15, 1977, at Unity Church on Perry Avenue in Bremerton.
Mr. Mannon worked as a welder at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from 1951 until his retirement in October 1982.
He was a member of American Legion Post 149.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard of Tacoma; six daughters, Lou Ellen Budinick of Gig Harbor, Jenny Pessemier of Eatonville, Patty Ramsdell of Lakewood and Deborah Drake, Chris Kelly and Kelly Hunsaker, all of Bremerton; two sisters, Audrey Plummer of Sedro Woolley and Emma Dombeck of Bryant, Wis.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At his request there will be no services. Inurnment will take place at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County or to Harrison Home Health Care.

James Daughtry
James Henry Daughtry, 67, of Poulsbo died Nov. 4, 1999, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
He was born May 15, 1932, in New Boston, Texas. He was educated in Texas.
Mr. Daughtry served in the Army. He worked in San Diego as a fiber optic specialist for the Navy, retiring in 1992, after 34 years and moving to Poulsbo.
He married
Marcia Harris on June 18, 1992.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Doug of Vacaville, Calif., and Michael of LeGrande, Ore.; a daughter, Vicki of San Diego; a sister, Mary Muhlhauser of Albany, Ore.; and a granddaughter, Corryn Conyer.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Memorial Church in Poulsbo.
