Ruby Eyler
Ruby Jean Eyler, 46, of Bremerton, died Dec. 19, 2000, at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle.
She was born Sept. 17, 1954, in Scotia, Calif., to John and Signe (Engstrom) Mey.
She was a 1972 graduate of Central Kitsap High School.
She married
Larry Eyler on Aug. 24, 1972, in Poulsbo.
She was the owner of two business, Eyler Painting and Wall Covering Co. and "Ruby's on the Go."
She enjoyed cooking and her cabin at Lake Cushman.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Trina Eyler; and brother Allan Mey of Laughlin, Nev.
A potluck celebration of Ruby's life is scheduled for 1 p.m. Dec. 30, 2000, at 6485 Windfall Place N.W., Bremerton.
Virgil Nervik
Virgil A. Nervic, 82, of Bremerton, died of heart failure Dec. 20, 2000, in Bothell.
She was born Oct. 28, 1918, in Deer Creek, Minn., to Ernest and Irene (Henniger) Stokes.
She married
Richard Nervik on Dec. 14, 1940, in Longview. He preceded her in death in 1979.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting. She was a member of Blue Star Mothers.
She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Richard of Bremerton and Dennis of Port Orchard; four daughters, Rachel Nervik of Seattle, Cheryl Parks of Bremerton, Dixie Zappala of Bellevue, and Su Taylor of Bothell; a brother, Myron Stokes of Nenana, Ala.; a sister Velma Geddy of Henning, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 29, 2000, at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. A rosary will be at 1 p.m. with a funeral service following at 2 p.m. at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. Interment
will take place at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Jim Jackman
James "Jim" A. Jackman, 79, of Bainbridge Island, died Dec. 8, 2000, at Messenger House Care Center.
He was born Dec. 28, 1920, in Redcliff Alberta, Canada, to John and Elizabeth (Picot) Jackman. He graduated in 1939 from Lincoln High School in Seattle and in 1949 from the University of Washington.
He married
Patricia Dawson on Jan. 24, 1942, in Seattle.
He served in the Army from 1942 to 1945. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
He was the owner and skipper of the charter boat "Playboy Too" in Westport.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 3057 and enjoyed golf.
Survivors include his wife of Westport; two daughters, Janice Brummund of Coronado, Calif., and Judy Fernandez, of Seattle; a sister Marie Moss Rodal, of Bainbridge; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Washington Cathedral. Arrangements are under the direction of Kass Funeral Home of Bainbridge Island.

Kenny Fick
Kenneth L. "Kenny" Fick, 75, of Bremerton, died Dec. 21, 2000, at his home.
He was born Nov. 11, 1925, in Bremerton, to Kenneth and Grace (Hawkins) Fick. He graduated from Bremerton High School in 1943, and also from Olympic College.
Mr. Fick served in the Air Force, achieving the rank of airman first class.
He married
Sharon Waali on Sept. 12, 1964, in Silverdale.
Mr. Fick worked as a naval architect technician at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 33 years, retiring in 1982.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Danny of Port Ludlow; a sister, Dorothy McCotter-Fryar of Bremerton; a brother, Lee of Seabeck; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen Lugenbeel in 1961, and Don Lugenbeel in 1959.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Waldo Edgington
Waldo D. Edgington, 76, of Poulsbo, died Dec. 21, 2000, at Harrison Hospital of cancer.
He was born Aug. 16, 1924, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Frederick and Fannie Edgington.
He married
Nada Q. Stroud on Sept. 23, 1972, in Sequim.
Mr. Edgington worked as a journeyman carpenter for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Carpenters Local Union 1597 and Chimacum Grange 681.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rory of Bremerton, and Waldo of Port Hadlock; a daughter, Jacqueline Bancroft of Quilcene; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, John, in 1979.

Elizabeth Cramer
Elizabeth Pearl Cramer, 91, of Bremerton, died Dec. 21, 2000, in Bremerton.
She was born Aug. 28, 1909, in Hastings, Iowa, to Albert and Martha (Leu) Pontow. She attended school in Iowa.
She married
Lawrence F. Cramer on Nov. 22, 1957, in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1993.
She was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church.
Visitation is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. today at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. at Miller-Woodlawn. A reception will follow.

Marie Rough
B. Marie Rough, 98, of Bremerton, died of pneumonia Dec. 21, 2000, at Belmont Terrace Convalescent Center.
She was born Jan. 15, 1902, in Cleveland, to Theodore and Sadie (Tate) Johnson. She graduated from high school in California in 1919.
She married
Joseph E. Rough on Feb. 25, 1920, in New York. He preceded her in death in 1973.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bitteroot Historical Society and the Humane Society of Montana.
She was a member of the Grantsdale Community Church in Montana.
Survivors include a son, Duane of Silverdale; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son; Joseph in 1985; one brother; and three sisters.
A memorial service will be held in Montana. Local arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn.
Roberta Krog
Roberta Lee Krog, 45, of Bremerton, died Dec. 17, 2000, at Harborview Medical Center after being struck by a vehicle.
She was born Oct. 12, 1955, in Germany to Mary Vickeroy.
She was active with Christian Teen Challenge.
She was a member of Joy of Freedom Ministries Church.
She is survived by her husband, Don Krog of Bremerton.

Gladys Elkins
Former Poulsbo resident Gladys Jo Elkins, 73, died Dec. 20, 2000, at her home in Sequim.
She was born Aug. 25, 1927, in Tacoma to Oscar and Florence Sackett.
While residing in Poulsbo, she volunteered at the Fishline Food Bank. She enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include three sons, Rick of Tacoma and Scott and Mike of Poulsbo; a daughter, Linda Lambeck of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, Richard Sackett of Auburn; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald in 1978; and a sister, Edna Sackett.
At her request, no service is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Drennan-Ford Funeral Home in Port Angeles.

Flo Jones
Florence M. "Flo" Jones, 89, of Port Orchard died of natural causes
Dec. 19, 2000, in Port Orchard.
She was born Nov. 30, 1911, in Baca County, Colo., to Joseph and Mary (Ashcraft) Caddick.
She was a 1931 graduate of Walsh High School in Walsh, Colo.
She was a bookkeeper in the restaurant supply industry for 29 years, retiring in 1981.
She enjoyed growing dahlias. She was a member of First Christian Church in Port Orchard.
Survivors include two daughters, Irene Thornton of Ocean Shores and Evelyn Savage of Grapeview;
10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Byrl Johnson in 1998.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church in Port Orchard. Interment
will take place at Sunset Lane cemetery.

Connie Reynolds
Connie Reynolds, 51, died of natural causes
Dec. 13, 2000, at her Poulsbo residence.
She was born Oct. 26, 1949, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Phillip and Etheldrita (Jascossi) Loughran. She attended high school in New York and attended City University of New York.
She married
David Reynolds in September 1992 on Bainbridge Island.
She was a published author and photographer.
She enjoyed photography. She was a member of St. Olaf's Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Doug Millard of Poulsbo; two brothers, Patrick and Phillip Loughran, both of New York; two sisters, Madlynn La Salle of New Jersey and Vikky Pasquarello of Minnesota; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Olaf's Catholic Church in Poulsbo. Interment
will take place in St. Louis, Mo. Local arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
