Noralee Hart
Noralee M. Hart, 34, of Port Orchard died of complications from a previous injury Dec. 13, 2000, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
She was born Sept. 2, 1966, in Seattle to Linda Rock.
She was a 1984 graduate of South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Eric Hart; her mother; two daughters, Megan and Taylor of Port Orchard; two sisters, Yvonne Hoffman and Lisa Shaw both of Port Orchard; and a grandmother, Ethel Skewis of Port Orchard.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Colby United Methodist Church in Port Orchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
Karen Easley
Karen Kay Easley, 43, died of a heart attack Dec. 8, 2000, at her Bremerton residence.
She was born Feb. 1, 1957, in Portsmouth, Va., to Charles and Doris Tackett. She was a 1975 graduate of West High School and graduated in 1997 from Olympic College.
She married
Daniel Robert Easley on Oct. 30, 1976, in Bremerton.
She was an accounting technician and homemaker. She was a member of Central Kitsap Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband; her parents; two sons, Robert and Daniel, both of Bremerton; a daughter, Vicki Jabbora of Bremerton; two brothers, Chuck Tackett of Poulsbo and Mike Tackett of Bremerton; two sisters, Debbie Casey of Bremerton and Pam DeLeon of Concepcion, Chile; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

June Spalding
Former Bremerton resident June M. Spalding, 81, of Des Moines, Wash., died Dec. 8, 2000, in Des Moines.
She was born March 29, 1919, in Tacoma to Kenneth C. and Maud E. (Young) Hutchins.
Survivors include a daughter, Judith Roragen of Auburn; a brother, Kenneth Hutchins of Bremerton; and three grandchildren.

Claudia Bailey
Claudia Bailey, 53, of Bremerton died of pneumonia Dec. 12, 2000, at Bremerton Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 5, 1947, in Las Vegas to Elbert and Dessie (Bassette) Bailey.
She worked at Opportunity Village, a sheltered workshop in Las Vegas.
She is survived by a brother, Pat Bailey of Bremerton.
Inurnment will take place at Memory Gardens in Las Vegas. Local arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Thelma Wallin
Thelma Bettyann Wallin, 77, of Poulsbo died Dec. 12, 2000, at Northwoods Lodge in Silverdale.
She was born July 17, 1923, in Poulsbo to Captain Jacob and Kristianna (Fosse) Eikum. She was a 1942 graduate of North Kitsap High School.
She married
Leonard T. Wallin on Feb. 23, 1946.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Kristie Pace and Patty Loun, both of Poulsbo; two brothers, James of Poulsbo and Alf of Enumclaw; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Captain A.F. "Spike, " Oren and Stan.

Donald Urwin
Donald LaRue Urwin, 70, of Bremerton died of asbestos-related lung cancer Dec. 10, 2000.
He was born Dec. 1, 1930, in Omaha, Neb. He was a 1950 graduate of Columbia Union High School in White Salmon, Wash.
He married
Mary Ruth Smith on Feb. 25, 1951, in Tieton, Wash.
Mr. Urwin was a flangeturner mechanic at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1986 after 35 years.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 192, the Masonic Temple and Summit Avenue Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David; four daughters, Vicki Stalnaker, Coleen Rich, Deborah Maddess and Mary Dee Urwin; two sisters, Sunya Decker of Timber, Ore., and Gertrude Hemming of California; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Monday at Summit Avenue Presbyterian Church in Bremerton. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Monte Underdown
Monte Underdown, 55, died from complications of a chronic disease Dec. 5, 2000, at his Bremerton home.
He was born Feb. 3, 1945, in Ann Arbor, Mich., to Milton and Josephine (Johnson) Underdown. He graduated in 1963 from Washington High School in Washington, Conn., and in 1968 from Emerson College in Boston.
He was a professional waiter and entertainer for 25 years.
He is survived by a brother, William Underdown of Bremerton.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Feb. 3, 2001, at Peninsula Bible Fellowship, 9590 Radcliff Ave. N. E. in Bremerton.

Rosemary Yule
Rosmary E. Yule, 79, of Silverdale died following a brief illness Dec. 11, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Sept. 21, 1921, in Chilton, Wis., to Joseph and Marie Mayer. She was a 1939 graduate of Chilton High School. She attended Marquette University in Milwaukee and the College of Nursing.
She married
John E. Yule on Oct. 9, 1943, in Milwaukee.
She enjoyed volunteering at Holy Trinity Parish and Extension Homemakers. She was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, John of Bremerton; a daughter, Mary Jelinek of Hopkins, Minn.; two brothers, Joseph and Paul Mayer, both of Green Bay, Wis.; a sister, Kay Dodson of Vienna, Va.; and six grandchildren.
A vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. today at Holy Trinity Parish. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday at Holy Trinity. Interment
will take place at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee Funeral Home.

Leon Hillyard
Leon Snow Hillyard, 57, of Port Orchard died of a heart attack Dec. 7, 2000, at his home.
He was born April 20, 1943, in Logan, Utah, to Lowell and Lucille Hillyard. He graduated in 1961 from North Cache High School in Logan.
He was an antique dealer and nurse.
Mr. Hillyard enjoyed gardening and photography.
He is survived by his companion, Fred Kinney of Port Orchard; two sons, Chad and Cody, both of Logan; a daughter, Cinnamon Hillyard of Woodinville; two brothers, Morris of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Lyle of Logan; and a sister, Joyce Madsen of Provo, Utah.
A memorial service is planned for noon Dec. 21 in Logan. Local arrangements are under the direction of Flintoft's Funeral Home of Issaquah.
Connie Waters
Chiyako "Connie" Nakajo Waters, 67, of Silverdale died Dec. 10, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Dec. 30, 1932, in Kyoto, Japan, to Kiyoshi and Harue Nakajo.
She graduated from high school in Japan and later graduated from Kyoto Fashion Designer College.
She married
James Waters on Jan. 7, 1953, in Yokohama, Japan.
She was the division chief of information systems for the city of Los Angeles for more than 30 years, retiring in 1993.
She enjoyed gardening and decorating.
She was a member of Central Kitsap Church of Christ in Silverdale.
She is survived by her husband; her parents; two daughters, Mariko Saum of Port Ludlow and Barbara Roshay of Portland, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was held Tuesday. A graveside service is planned for 10:30 a.m. today at Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo. Arrangements are under the direction of Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel.

Wallace Aaro
Wallace G. Aaro, 77, of Bremerton died Dec. 8, 2000, at his home.
He was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Holly to Clouse E. and Daizy E. (Hole) Aaro. He graduated in 1942 from Central Kitsap High School.
Mr. Aaro was a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician for 17 years. He retired after 32 years as a planner-estimator at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
He enjoyed bowling and fighting fires.
Survivors include two sons, George and Dane, both of Belfair; a daughter, Carol Ruley of Lakeland, Fla.; four sisters, Edith Lowe and Louise Nagle, both of Bremerton, Ellen "Tinie" Moffett of Shelton and Bertha Napolean of Port Hadlock; four brothers, Melvin and Ron, both of Bremerton, Mervin of Port Orchard and Earl of Hoquiam; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Norman.
Visitation is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at the same time at the memorial park. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel.

Rex Anderson
Rex W. Anderson, 82, of Kingston died Dec. 8, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Oct. 27, 1918, in Seattle, to Charles and Ruth (Fox) Anderson. He was a 1937 graduate of Lincoln High School in Seattle, and later graduated from the University of Washington.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He married
Bertice Black on July 21, 1963, in Everett.
Mr. Anderson was a mechanical engineer for Boeing and began the original Rent-A-Center.
He enjoyed golf and the outdoors. He attended the Presbyterian church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gregory of Snohomish; two stepsons, Michael Duane of Bellevue and Nicholas Duane of Seattle; a daughter, Susan Anderson of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Ruth Hodges of Witchita, Kan., and Miriam Ewing of Blaine; a brother, Charles of Camano Island; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by a son, Barry.
Arrangements are under the direction of Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel.
