Donald Loveless
Donald Ralph Loveless, 66, of Belfair died of colon cancer on Nov. 26, 2000, at Naval Hospital Bremerton.
He was born March 21, 1934, in Omaha, Neb., to Lester and Ida (Sheldon) Loveless. He graduated from Omaha Technical High School in 1952.
Mr. Loveless joined the Navy in 1954, and retired in 1976, achieving the rank of senior chief. He served as a cryptologic technician, receiving the Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal.
He married
Judith Nilson on June 24, 1961, in Hancock, Maine.
He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Belfair.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Timothy of Kent; two daughters, Patricia Brooks of Federal Way and Donna Thompson of Chanelview, Texas; two sisters, Lutie Belcher of Jamul, Calif., and Margaret McDowell of LaVista, Neb.; six brothers, Lyle of Beatrice, Neb., Grover of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., James of Carlsbad, Calif., Clyde and Oscar, both of Omaha, and Thomas of Lincoln, Neb.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold; a sister, Vera Roby; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Thursday at Belfair Community Baptist Church. Cremation will take place at Poulsbo Mortuary with inurnment at Twin Firs cemetery in Belfair at a later date. Arrangements are by Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Rudolph Olsen
Rudolph Palmer Olsen, 86, of Everson and formerly of Tracyton, died Nov. 25, 2000, in Bellingham.
He was born Oct. 9, 1914, in Tracyton to Habart and Sophia (Schille) Olsen. He graduated from Port Washington Bay Union High School in 1932. He was a 1936 graduate of the University of Washington.
He married
Thelma Kannitzer on Aug. 25, 1940, in Seattle. She preceded him in death in 1990.
He served in the Army several years beginning in 1941. He retired from the Army Reserve in 1967. He achieved the rank of full colonel.
He worked in the banking industry in Brewster for 10 years and in Everson, for 28 years, retiring in 1967.
Mr. Olsen was a member of the Everson Lion's Club, the Everson Chamber of Commerce and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Everson.
He is survived by one son, Dick of Bellingham; one daughter, Carol Grindall of Bothell; five grandchildren; and three great-grand-children. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Julius in 1924, Art in 1967, and Henry in 1980.
Visitation is planned from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Jerns Funeral Chapel in Bellingham. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Washelli cemetery in Seattle.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Everson.

Bart Pearson
Bart W. Pearson, 41, of Seabeck, died Nov. 21, 2000, in King County.
He was born April 21, 1959, in Everett, to Bill and Evelyn (Locke) Pearson. He was a 1977 graduate of Arlington High School.
He married
Lanis L. Hansen on June 30, 1988, in Arlington.
Mr. Pearson had been involved for many years in logging at the Portage Creek Mill with his great-grandfather.
He enjoyed music and boating.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, Bill of Sultan and Evelyn of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one son, Dakota of Seabeck.; two sisters, Janet Walker and Judy Pearson, both of Kirkland.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crosby Chapel, 16404 NW Church Road in Seabeck.
Dennis Hendrickson
Dennis J. Hendrickson, 59, of Bremerton died
Nov. 24, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Nov. 26, 1940, in Hamilton, Mont., to Art and Anna (Fassbender) Hendrickson. He was a 1959 graduate of Missoula County High School in Missoula, Mont.
Mr. Hendrickson married
Marietta Kososki on April 9, 1963, in Lordsburg, N.M. He served in the Air Force from 1960 to 1964.
He was a shipfitter and welder for 28 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 68.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Anna Daniels of Bremerton; a son, Dennis of Oak Harbor; a daughter, Beth Hendrickson of Bremerton; two brothers, Arthur and Ronald, both of Missoula; a sister, Ola Allen of Bremerton; and one grandchild.
A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at American Legion Post 68, 1240 Sheridan Road in Bremerton.

Arthur Mills
Arthur J.H. Mills, 87, died Nov. 21, 2000, at his Poulsbo home.
He was born June 7, 1913, in California to Howard and Jennie (Craig) Mills. He was a 1933 graduate of North Kitsap High School.
He married
Ethel Knutsen in Ballard on
Nov. 18, 1939. She preceded him in death in 1991.
Mr. Mills retired in 1970 after 30 years in civil service.
He was a member of the Franklin Lodge No. 5 Free and Accepted Masons.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Olson of Port Hadlock; two brothers, Donald of Seattle and Victor of Hemit, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his brother, Ernie.
Visitation is planned from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. A funeral and graveside service will follow.

Rex Hope
Rex William Hope, 78, of Port Orchard died Nov. 21, 2000, at Providence Hospital in Seattle.
He was born March 8, 1922, to Rush R. and Marie (Sims) Hope in Burlington, Wyo. He attended school in Burlington.
Mr. Hope married
Freda Bushman on Aug. 4, 1978, in Bremerton.
He served in the Navy from 1941 to 1944 and achieved the rank of petty officer second class.
He was a welder at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 17 years, retiring in 1982.
He was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Richard of California, Michael of Brinnon and Rex Jr. of Bremerton; three stepsons, Michael of Orcas Island, Rueben of Port Orchard and Ronald of Bremerton; two daughters, Gloria and Sylvia, both of Bremerton; two brothers, Bert of Kirkland and Floyd of Gardiner; two sisters, Juanita Kenny of Prosser and Debra Erdman of Walla Walla; 28 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, John; a sister, Jesse Geski; and two stepsons, James and John.
A memorial service was held Nov. 25 at Full Gospel Assembly in Gorst.

Vickie Max
Vickie Hinson Max, 60, formerly of Silverdale, died Nov. 23, 2000, after suffering a heart attack.
She was born Jan. 13, 1940, in Seattle to James and Esther Guilmet. She attended Juneau High School in Juneau, Alaska, graduated from Olympic College in 1991 and was a 1993 graduate of Evergreen State College in Olympia.
She married
Roscoe Max in Pelican, Alaska.
Mrs. Max was a museum director for five years. She enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include her husband; mother of Pelican; a son, Bret Hinson of Spokane; a daughter, Julie Hinson of North Carolina; a brother, Jim Guilmet of Kodiak, Alaska; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Shane Hinson.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church in Bremerton.

James Horning
James H. Horning, 81, of Silverdale died Nov. 23, 2000, at Crista Shores.
He was born June 8, 1919, in Elk to Harrison and Minnie (Robbins) Horning. He graduated from Caldwell High School in Caldwell, Idaho, in 1938.
He married
Maxine Paynter on Jan. 9, 1939, in Emmitt, Idaho.
Mr. Horning served in the Army just before World War II, achieving the rank of corporal.
He was a serviceman and small-engine repairman at Island Center Service on Bainbridge Island for 15 years. He retired in 1979.
He was a member of the Kitsap County Radio Control Club and St. Antony's Episcopal Church in Silverdale. He was the Washington state archery champion in 1962.
Survivors include his wife; a son, James W. of Lilliwaup; a daughter, Mary J. Allen of Poulsbo; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Shaw; and a sister, Fern Shaw.
Inurnment will take place at St. Antony's Episcopal Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Poulsbo Mortuary-Stone Chapel.

Kitty Magill
Catherine "Kitty" Magill, 82, of Bremerton died of complications from diabetes Nov. 24, 2000, at Belmont Terrace Convalescent Center.
She was born Aug. 6, 1918, in Hyattsville, Md., to Caesar and Angela (Ervin) Aiello. She graduated from high school in Hyattsville and from the University of Maryland.
She married
Charles W. Magill on Jan. 27, 1945, in Hyattsville. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Mrs. Magill was a homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and the Sequim Prairie Garden Club and Young Ladies Institute.
She is survived by a son, Michael of Tacoma; a daughter, Barbara Schutt of Bremerton; four sisters, Dorothy Cartagena of Caguas, Puerto Rico, Mary Lou Duvall of Denver, Jackie Hewitt of Rockville, Md., and Clare Harris of Timonium, Md.; and five grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Aiello.
A funeral Mass is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton. Inurnment will take place at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee Funeral Home.

Walter Bohnenkamp
Walter F. Bohnenkamp, 68, of Port Orchard died Nov. 24, 2000, at his home.
He was born May 14, 1932, in St. Louis to Filmore and Bertha (Studler) Bohnenkamp.
He served in the Army during the Korean War, achieving the rank of private first class. He received a Purple Heart and two Bronze Service Stars.
He married
Geraldine G. Steimel on Aug. 1, 1964, in St. Clair, Mo.
Mr. Bohnenkamp was a journeyman union carpenter for 30 years, retiring in 1984.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Arizona.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Tina of Port Orchard and Connie Bohnenkamp Cooper of Phoenix; three sisters, Emma Lamm of St. Charles, Mo., Ethel Roman and Celina Aubachon, both of St. Louis; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, June Martin and Bertha Rose Bohnenkamp; and three brothers, Roy, Louis and Lee .
Visitation is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard. Interment
will take place at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent.
