Ruth Raihala
Ruth Eleanor Raihala, 85, of Bremerton died Aug. 9, 1998, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 2, 1912, in Butte, Mont., to Eli and Fanny Himango Paloranta. She graduated from Aurora High School in Aurora, Minn., in 1931.
On April 22, 1934, she married
her husband, George Raihala, in Chisolm, Minn. He preceded her in death in 1990.
Mrs. Raihala was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW and the Sons of Norway International.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis of Gresham, Ore. and Roger of Niwot, Colo.; a sister, Hannah Aho of Gig Harbor; four grandchildren, Craig, Mark and Laurie Raihala of Gresham, Ore., George Raihala of Boise, Idaho, and Angela Barts of Newport, Maine; and two great-grandchildren.
Inurnment will be at Rauha cemetery, Palo, Minn.
Clifton Warren
Clifton Eugene Warren, 64, of Bremerton died Aug. 8, 1998, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 21, 1934, in Nashville, Tenn. to Ebon and Mildred (Rhoden) Warren. He was raised and educated in Nashville, Tenn.
On July 16, 1960, he married
Betty J. Pate in Port Orchard.
Mr. Warren served in the Navy from 1952 to 1974. He retired from the Navy as an Aviation Botswain Mate Chief. He later was a rigger at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1995.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sandi of Bremerton and Shelby Johnson of Bremerton; two sisters, Annette Spicer and Joyce Warren, both of Nashville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, Joshlin, Shane, Brandon and Riley.
Services will be held when his remains are buried at sea.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

J. Michael Allen Jr.
J. Michael "Mike" Allen Jr., 30, of Port Orchard died Aug. 6, 1998.
He was born June 14, 1968, in Ajo, Ariz. He attended Ajo High School.
For the past 10 years he was a framer in the construction business.
Survivors include his companion, Kim Zaccagnini of Port Orchard; his parents, J. Michael and Debra Allen of Newark, Del. and Tricia and Mike Nolt of Ajo; a daughter, Tracy of Port Orchard; a son, Todd of Port Orchard; a sister, Amy Berndt of Ajo; and his grandparents, Jean and Rex Moss of Tucson, Ariz., and Hazel Ivey of Ajo.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Aug. 11, with graveside funeral services following at 4 p.m. at Rill Chapel. Interment
will be in Ajo.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Harold Osborne
Harold F.Osborne, 85, of Edmonds, who chronicled the history of Kingston and Edmonds the past 40 years, died Aug. 7, 1998.
He wrote "Little City by the Sea, " a history of Kingston, and had a monthly column of stories about the town's past for four years in a local newspaper.
He moved to Edmonds in 1993 and worked with the Edmonds and state historical societies while there.
He was born in Omaha, Neb., and raised in Denver, graduating from the University of Denver in 1934.
He served in the Navy in World War II, then was a newspaperman with papers that included the Denver Post, the Salt Lake City Tribune, the Seattle Times and The Associated Press.
He also held public information posts with the American Institute of Biological Sciences in Washington, D.C., the Atomic Energy Commission, National Institute of Health and Veterans Administration until retiring in 1958.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Helen; daughters Margaret Johanson of Westport and Elizabeth Toepfer of Snohomish; and a grandson, Ben Johanson Jr. of Boulder, Colo.
Services will be Aug. 13 at 1 p.m. at Beck's Funeral Home in Edmonds. Memorials may be made in his name to the Edmonds Historical Society.
Lorraine Titus
Lorraine Katherine Titus, 83, of Port Orchard died there of cancer on Aug. 8, 1998.
She was born Nov. 10. 1914, in Tustin, Calif., and graduated in 1932 from Tustin High School. She later attended Westmont College in Los Angeles.
She married
the Rev. Gordon Titus in Tustin on March 28, 1941. He survives her.
She was a Christian worker in her husband's ministry and a member of Manchester Community Church.
Other survivors are a son, Paul of Puyallup; daughters Sharon Prenguber of Lynnwood and Lois Giron of Anaheim, Calif.; brothers Louis Ebel of Mesa, Ariz., and Lloyd Ebel of Santa Ana, Calif; a sister, Rose Wilson of Palm Springs, Calif.; grandchildren Khris Pope of Chandler, Ariz., Melanie Cooper of Germany, Jennifer Skillings and Brian and Scott Giron, all of Anaheim, and April Titus of Graham; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Aug. 12 at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard, with a memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. at Manchester Community Church.

Carl Coreson
Carl Graham Coreson, 83, of Bremerton died Aug. 4, 1998, from cancer.
He was born July 18, 1915, in Rose City, Mich., to Jeremiah and Mary (Carpenter) Coreson.
On July 30, 1960, he married
Wilma Brown in Bremerton. She preceded him in death in 1997.
Mr. Coreson served in the Army from 1941 to 1945. He served during World War II, receiving the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal, two overseas service bars and the Good Conduct Medal.
He made his living at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a carpenter for more than 30 years until his retirement.
Survivors include three sons, Douglas Anderson of Seattle, David Anderson of Port Orchard and Jerry Coreson of Bremerton; two daughters, Vickie Kulick of Bremerton and Sharon Falgout of Port Orchard; a sister, Violett Dobbs of Michigan; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 15 at the home of his daughter, Vickie.

Arnold Moen
Arnold W. Moen, 78, of Bremerton died July 31, 1998.
He was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Lignite, N.D.
On June 8, 1942, he married
Darleen D. Davis in Port Orchard.
In 1941 he went to work at the NAD Annex in Bremerton, first in ordnance, then in the garage as a mechanic. Upon the closing of the annex, he was transferred to the Bangor base garage. He was promoted to the position of leading man, transportation equipment maintenance. He retired from Bangor in July 1968. Most recently, he worked for AT&T; until his retirement in 1974.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John of Bremerton; a daughter, Geraldine Quam of West Seattle; a brother, Stanley of Port Orchard; two sisters, Eunice Larson of Manchester and Lorraine Giertz of Port Orchard; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A service was held Aug. 4.

Thomas Regan
Thomas M. Regan, 47, of Bremerton died Aug. 2, 1998.
He was born Feb. 21, 1951, in Seattle to Donald Regan and Lois (Auxler) Regan.
Mr. Regan served his baker's apprenticeship at age 16 while still attending North Kitsap High School. He worked for Sluy's Bakery in Poulsbo from 1965 to 1970. He worked for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard commissary warehouse from 1973 to 1974 and for Goodyear Tire from 1975 to 1985. Most recently, he worked for the Red Apple Market bakery from 1990 until his retirement in 1993.
Survivors include his mother; a son, Daniel of Seabeck; a daughter, Andrea of Seabeck; six brothers, Gerald of Tigard, Ore., Allan of Suquamish, Richard of Chimacum, Timothy of Kingston, and Jeffrey and Samuel, both of Poulsbo; and five sisters, Deborah Voyce and Rose Ann McCracken, both of Poulsbo, Kathleen Novick of Bremerton, Petronilla Dickerson of Port Orchard and Pamela of Kingston.
Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Aug. 5 at St. Olaf's Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. Aug. 6 with Mass immediately following at St. Olaf's Catholic Church. A graveside service will follow at Poulsbo City cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove Memorial Park.

Margaret Parks
Margaret Rose Parks, 69, of Bellevue died from respiratory failure on Aug. 3, 1998, at her home.
She was born Dec. 8, 1928, in Dedham, Iowa.
She made her living working for U S West as an operator until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of St. Louise Catholic Church in Bellevue.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas of Bremerton and Robert of Rohnert Park, Calif.; three daughters, Marilyn Saunders of Lakeside, Calif., Barbara Iverson of Hobart, and Kathy Erickson of Mukilteo; four sisters, Laura Klocke and Louise Willenborg, both of Dedham, Iowa and Arlene Caliguire and Mary Mateer, both of Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Aug. 6 at Greenwood Funeral Home in Renton.
