Kenneth Ray Riley Jr.
Kenneth Ray Riley Jr., the two-month-old son of Ken and Kim Riley Sr. of Silverdale, died Oct. 10, 2000, in Portland, Ore.
He was born Aug. 7, 2000, in Seattle. He is survived by his parents.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Daniel McAllister
Daniel Lee McAllister, 36, of Gig Harbor died Oct. 8, 2000, at his home.
He was born Oct. 8, 1964, in Great Falls, Mont., to James and Patricia (Gilman) McAllister.
He was occasionally employed for residential construction and worked several seasons as a fisherman in Alaska.
Survivors include three daughters, Kristina, Stacey, and Jessica, all of Gig Harbor; a brother, Robert Godfrey of Kentucky; four sisters, Diane Hoskinson of Port Orchard, Bonnie Flackus of Gig Harbor, Shawn McAllister of Union, Ore., and Katie Nelsen of Vaughn; and grandparents, Don and Helen McAllister and Helen Gilman.
Arrangements are under the direction of Haven of Rest Funeral Home. Inurnment took place at Rosedale cemetery.
Sandra Mize
Sandra Kay (Frost) Mize, 52, of Bremerton died of natural causes Oct. 11, 2000, in Bremerton.
She was born Nov. 5, 1947, in Kansas City, Mo., to Chester and Erma (Letterman) Frost. She graduated from Fredonia High School in Fredonia, Kan., in 1965, and from Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Ore., in 1971.
Mrs. Mize served in the Navy from 1965 to 1967, as a dental technician. She received a National Defense Service Medal.
She married
George N. Mize Jr. on March 11, 1967, in Long Beach, Calif.
She was a lead accounting technician for Government Printing Services at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
Mrs. Mize played and coached softball. She was a member of Olympic Vintage Auto Club.
She is survived by her husband; her mother, Erma Frost of Bremerton; two daughters, Tammy Mize of Port Orchard and Kimberly Mize of Bremerton; a sister, Linda Schneider of New Albany, Kan.; and one grandchild.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Monday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County, P.O. Box 3416, Silverdale, WA 98383-3416.
Adelean Albrecht
Adelean Albrecht, 101, of Bremerton, died Sept. 4, 2000, in Seattle.
She was born Dec. 11, 1898, in Harrisburg, Ore., to Charles and Marie (Milbrett) Sperling.
She married
William Albrecht on June 25, 1925, in Portland, Ore. He preceded her in death in 1976.
Mrs. Albrecht was a telephone operator for 40 years, retiring in 1966.
She was a member of the Lutheran church.
Survivors include four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Hanlon.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. today at Memorial Lutheran Church in Bremerton.

Robert Koeller
Robert L. Koeller, 69, of Belfair died Oct. 11, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Greeley, Colo., to William and Myrtle (Baker) Koeller.
He married
Mary O. Lyons on Dec. 28, 1962.
Mr. Koeller served in the Navy from 1948 to 1974. He was a mine man, achieving the rank of chief.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife; three stepsons, Michael Hackett of California, Timothy Hackett of South Carolina and Patrick Hackett of Bremerton; two daughters, Robin Koeller of Port Orchard and Becky Karrer of Florida; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty.
No service will be held. A burial of his cremated remains will take place at sea by the Navy. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Glenn Beals
Glenn H. Beals, 80, of Bremerton died Oct. 12, 2000, at Harborview Medical Center.
He was born May 7, 1920, in Roggen, Colo., to Evan and Amanda (Peterson) Beals. He graduated from high school in Silverton, Ore.
He married
Jean Kumm in 1955 in Superior, Mont.
Mr. Beals was a shipfitter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1960. Since his retirement, he has worked in the real estate business.
He enjoyed his grandchildren and going fishing.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Dhana Beals-Twiss of Wildcat Lake and Rita McGough of Tracyton; a brother, Vernon of Bremerton; a sister, Bertha Dunn of Silverton, Ore.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Glenn Beals; three brothers, Evan Jr., John and Cecil; and two sisters, Ruth and Hasel.

Maria Paguel
Maria Valdez Paguel, 82, of Bremerton died Oct. 10, 2000, in Bremerton.
She was born Oct. 5, 1918, in Santo Tomas, LaUnion, the Philippines, to Enrique and Antonia (Valdez) Paguel. She graduated from high school in the Philippines.
She was a farmer for most of her life.
Mrs. Paguel enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
She is survived by a son, Willy Smith of Bremerton; two sisters, Cesaria Boado of Santo Tomas and Rosalinda Hanes of Carmona Cavite, the Philippines; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel and from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be celebrated after visitation Thursday, followed by cremation at Poulsbo Mortuary.
Richard Gumenberg
Richard K. Gumenberg, 76, of Port Orchard died of asbestos-related lung cancer Oct. 11, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Spokane to Emil and Gertrude (Shriver) Gumenberg.
He served in the Navy from 1942 to 1952. He was a cook and petty officer first class, receiving a World War II Service and Korean Service medals.
He married
Kathleen M. Walter on Dec. 14, 1963, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Mr. Gumenberg worked commercially and at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a painter for 23 years, retiring in 1987.
He enjoyed woodworking and the outdoors. He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kip of Glendale, Ariz.; three daughters, Mary Bettger, Kim Wittig and Kristin, all of Port Orchard; a brother, Donald of Spokane; a sister, Dorothy Betcher of Seattle; seven grandchildren; and two stepgrandchilden. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teri Wittig, and two brothers, George and Jack.
Visitation is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Lane cemetery.

Emmett Anderson
Emmett Roger Anderson, 79, of Kingston died Oct. 7, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Sept. 8, 1921, in Erskine, Minn., to Harry and Hannah (Person) Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was a metal finisher. He enjoyed metal craftsmanship.
His survivors include his cousins, Martha Swanson of Everett, Harvey Hendrickson of Kirkland and Ruby Wicklund of San Jose, Calif.; and numerous second cousins.
Arrangements are under the direction of Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel, with cremation at Cherry Grove Memorial Park.
Colleen Morgan
Colleen Beverly Morgan, 45, of Poulsbo died as a result of an automobile accident Oct. 7, 2000, in Kingston.
She was born Jan. 17, 1955, in Seattle to Edward Carl and Beverly Lois (Clark) Moff. She attended North Kitsap High School.
She owned Mighty Clean House cleaning service for more than 20 years.
She grew sunflowers and loved hosting picnics.
Survivors include her mother, Beverly Lois Moff of Suquamish; her father, Edward Carl Moff of Indianola; two sons, Jeremy Moff of Poulsbo and Sam Morgan of Cherry Point, N.C.; a daughter, Tara Morgan of Port Ludlow; four sisters, Judy Goenett of Haines, Alaska, Carla Lukinich of Wrangell, Alaska, and Mary Saurdiff and Sue Henry, both of Poulsbo; a brother, Steven Moff of Arlington; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service and potluck picnic is planned for 1 p.m. Oct. 21 at the family home. Arrangements are under the direction of Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel, with cremation at Cherry Grove Memorial Park.

Eve Rothschild-Brooks
Former Bremerton resident Eve Rothschild-Brooks, 81, of Montesano died Oct. 9, 2000, at her son's home in Montesano.
She was born July 26, 1919, in Olive, Okla., to the Rev. John and Vida Holeman. She graduated from Olive High School and attended nursing school. She left nursing school to serve in the Army during World War II.
She married
John Maier Rothschild in 1943. He preceded her in death in 1972.
She married
Robert Stanley Brooks in 1975. He preceded her in death in 1995.
She served on the board of directors of the Kitsap County Indian Center and was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include a son, John Rothschild of Montesano; four daughters, Eva Rothschild and Linda Gentry, both of Bremerton, Loleta Schnider of Elma and Kathy Ford of Laguna Hills, Calif.; two brothers; 10 sisters; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
A gathering of friends and family is planned for noon Saturday at the Elma Grange in Elma.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Suquamish Tribal Elders Fund at the Suquamish Tribal Center.
Charles Young
Charles Walter Young, 79, of Bremerton died following a lengthy illness Oct. 5, 2000, at his home.
He was born May 31, 1921, in Aberdeen, Miss., to Nelson and Elnora (Baker) Young. He graduated from Southern Laboratory School in Scotlandville, La., in 1938, and attended Southern University in Scotlandville.
He married
Ada Mae Curry on July 12, 1942, in Scotlandville. She preceded him in death in 1946.
Mr. Young served in the Army from 1942 to 1944, achieving the rank of private 1st class. He later worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1986.
He enjoyed woodcarving.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Kittles of Baton Rouge, La., and Charles Young of Seattle; three daughters, Linda Torrence of Greensboro, N.C., Rita Coutee of Baton Rouge and Charlene Young; two brothers, General and Marion, both of Aberdeen, Miss.; three sisters, Helen Young, Nellie Lane and Leon Alligon, all of St. Louis, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no service. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel, with entombment at Forest Lawn cemetery.
