Howard Warner
Howard L. Warner, 78, of Gig Harbor died of natural causes Sept. 23, 2000, in Port Orchard.
He was born Sept. 9, 1922, in Nampa, Idaho, to Ben and Rose (Ellis) Irwin.
Mr. Warner served in the Army during World War II, achieving the rank of sergeant.
He married
Mary Goodman on Aug. 5, 1972, in Eugene, Ore.
Mr. Warner retired after working for various industrial manufacturers for 60 years. He was most recently a CEO.
He was a member of Christian Life Center in Port Orchard and the Elks Lodge in Gig Harbor. He enjoyed sailing.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, John Justice of Arizona and Ron Justice of Oregon; two daughters, Kathy Ray of Bonnie Lake and Carol Jackson of Oregon; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ed Irwin.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Christian Life Center.

Bert Danielson
Bert L. Danielson, 92, of Bremerton died of natural causes Oct. 3, 2000, at Ratliff Adult Family Home in Bremerton.
He was born Feb. 21, 1908, in Minot, N.D., to Andrew and Alice (Petersen) Danielson.
In 1934, he married
Nellie Benskin in Bremerton. She preceded him in death in 1960.
He married
Joan Nichols in 1964. They were divorced in 1981.
Mr. Danielson served in the Marine Corps from
1928 to 1932, achieving the rank of private first class.
The owner of Danielson Construction, he was self-employed as a building contractor for 60 years, retiring in 1992.
Mr. Danielson was a member of the Bremerton Lions Club, Gideon's International and Lincoln Avenue Bible Church in Bremerton.
Survivors include his former wife, Joan of Belfair; a son, David of Belfair; a daughter, Joni O'Day of Kirkland; a brother, E.G. "Bud" Anderson of Bremerton; three sisters, Arlene Sullivan of Silverdale, Lila Dahl of Coos Bay, Ore., and Aimee Holmgard of Coon Rapid, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Dona Barry, in 1982, and a brother, Ralph.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Oct. 14 at Lincoln Avenue Bible Church. Inurnment will take place at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Pamela Bontrager
Pamela Kay Bontrager, 48, of Port Orchard died Oct. 3, 2000, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
She was born Sept. 21, 1952, in Bremerton, to George and Clara (Hogue) Richardson. She graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1970, and attended Olympic College for one year.
She was a computer analyst at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 27 years.
She enjoyed traveling and crafts.
Survivors include her parents of Silverdale; and a sister, Maryline Lovlien of Roseville, Calif. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dean, in 1990.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Friday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Cremation is under the direction of Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo, with inurnment at Forest Lawn cemetery.

Kevin LaFrance
Kevin LaFrance, 40, of Gig Harbor died following an auto accident Sept. 29, 2000, in Jefferson County.
He was born March 2, 1960, in Portland, Ore., to Glenn "Spike" and Nancy (Paulsen) LaFrance.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Miller; his father and stepmother, Glenn "Spike" and Margaret LaFrance of Aurora, Ore.; his mother, Nancy (Paulsen) Ross of Enumclaw; a daughter, Angelica Dawn of Gig Harbor; a stepson, Robert Phillips of Gig Harbor; a sister, Joanna Ross of Enumclaw; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at Haven of Rest Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Gig Harbor.
Faye Wheetley
Former Bremerton resident Faye Wheetley, 88, of Youngtown, Ariz., died
Oct. 3, 2000, in Glendale, Ariz.
She was born June 7, 1912, in Arkansas.
She married
Harold Wheetley. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Mrs. Wheetley was a homemaker and the wife of a Southern Baptist minister.
Survivors include two sons, James of Houston and Ray of Dallas; four daughters, Sunny Greene and Deane Harper, both of Sun City, Ariz., Bonnie Hill of Wapato and Helen Gunter of Ephrata; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service is planned for noon Monday, also at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Interment
will follow at Forest Lawn cemetery. Arrangements also were under the direction of Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel in Sun City.

Vivian Stokesbary
Vivian M. Stokesbary, 87, of Bremerton died Sept. 30, 2000, at Forest Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Aug. 6, 1913, in Seattle to Joseph and Maybelle Burton. She graduated from King Edward High School in Vancouver, B.C.
She married
Lyle Stokesbary on June 18, 1950, in Silverdale.
Mrs. Stokesbary was a homemaker. She also was a pianist and a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bill of Anchorage, Alaska, and Lynn of Kirkland; a daughter, Sandra Dunlap of Bremerton; a brother, Richard Brown of Belfair; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Masonic Temple on 11th Street and Perry Avenue in East Bremerton. Entombment will take place at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Cheri Pender
Cheryl Lynn "Cheri" Pender, 43, of Bremerton died of cancer Sept. 26, 2000, at her home.
She was born Nov. 23, 1956, in Yuma, Ariz., to James A. and Constance J. (Riebli) Pender. She graduated from Yuma High School and later received numerous degrees.
Ms. Pender was an administrative assistant at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 10 years.
She enjoyed motorcycling and camping.
Survivors include her fiance, A.C. Petty of Bremerton; her mother, Constance Mecam of Bremerton; her father, James Pender of Glendale, Ariz.; a son, Ian Hartford of Bremerton; two daughters, Christina Masinas and Brandi, both of Bremerton; two brothers, Bruce Schiendler and Steven Pender; a grandmother, Laura Juisti; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 4 p.m. Friday at Sylvan Way Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Stanley Erwick
Former Port Orchard resident Stanley Erwick, 84, of Nampa, Idaho, died of natural causes Sept. 29, 2000, in Nampa.
He was born May 9, 1916, in Minnesota to Svend and Marie (Rustad) Erwick. He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1935 and from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma in 1949.
Mr. Erwick served in the Army from 1941 to 1946, achieving the rank of captain.
He was a school teacher in Los Angeles for 32 years, retiring in 1982.
Survivors include two sisters, Marian Baker of Kirkland and Gladys Mosser of Bremerton.
A memorial graveside service will be held at the Knights of Phythias cemetery in Port Orchard.
Robert Winslow
Former Bremerton resident Robert W. Winslow, 53, of Snohomish died of pneumonia Sept. 14, 2000, at Delta Rehabilitation.
He was born May 9, 1947, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Don and Florence Winslow. He attended East High School in Bremerton and graduated from Crescent City High School in California in 1965.
Mr. Winslow was a musician for many years.
He enjoyed racing remote control cars and hydroplanes.
Survivors include a son, Spencer of Port Orchard; a daughter, Teri Lee-Pickard of Bremerton; two brothers, Gary of Dewatto and Keith of Everett; a sister, Yvon Lamoureux of Bremerton; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service is planned for 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Rosemary Bond
Rosemary Bond, 87, of Port Orchard died Sept. 29, 2000, at Harrison Hospital of natural causes.
She was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Bismarck, N.D., to Albert and Esther (Fjellman) Albrigtson. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma in 1930.
She married
Rollin Bond on June 15, 1946, in Port Orchard. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Mrs. Bond was a homemaker. She enjoyed bingo and watching the Mariners.
She is survived by three sons, Albert H. Ross of Tacoma, Clarence N. Ross of Brookings, Ore., and Rollin K. "Ron" Bond of Port Orchard; two daughters, Sharon L. Hamilton of Bremerton and Frances K. Rees of Kirkland; four sisters, Ilovene Potter of Puyallup and Alfhild Parks, Vivian Hemel and Esther Peters, all of Tacoma; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Hunter; and two brothers, Malcolm and Donald Albrigtson.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. Interment
will take place at Sunset Lane cemetery.

Irene Lambert
Irene E. Lambert, 82, of Seabeck died of esophageal cancer Sept. 23, 2000, at her home.
She was born Sept. 20, 1918, in Cedonia to Simon "Sam" and Dolly Elian. She graduated from North Central High School in Spokane.
She married
Joseph L. Lambert on June 1, 1940, in Newport.
Mrs. Lambert worked 30 years as a bookkeeper for auto dealerships and for Bremerton YMCA.
She enjoyed bridge and gardening.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bruce of Olympia and Gary of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; two daughters, Laura Treger of Seabeck and Linda Barnett of Bellevue; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
