Kelly Hatch
Dawn "Kelly" Joanne Hatch, 66, of Poulsbo died Sept. 18, 2000, at Martha and Mary Health Care Center.
She was born July 2, 1934, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Harold and Irene (Ranney) Hatch.
She worked in Dietary Services at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for more than 30 years. She retired in 1998.
Survivors include two sisters, Dwane Thomas of Port Townsend and Beatrice Wyatt of Taylor, Texas; and three brothers, Marshall Hatch of Poulsbo, Harold Hatch Jr. of Port Orchard and Dale Hatch of Taylor.
Cremation will take place at Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel.
Orvil Orcutt
Orvil Daniel Orcutt, 76, of Bremerton died Sept. 20, 2000, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilita-tion of Oyster Bay.
He was born Sept. 24, 1923, in Seattle to Daniel Aaron and Elenor (Hughes) Orcutt. He graduated from Bremerton High School in 1943.
He married
Ardis Arlene Helgeson on July 2, 1950.
Mr. Orcutt served in the Navy from 1942 to 1946, achieving the rank of seaman first class.
He worked at Naval Undersea Warfare Engineering Station in Keyport for 30 years, retiring in 1979.
Mr. Orcutt enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Alvin D. Orcutt of Bremerton and Garry L. Orcutt of Tahuya; a daughter, Marsha A. McDonald of Bremerton; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Huson.
An open house for family and close friends will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the family home on Erlands Point Road.

Ellen Clausen
Ellen J. Clausen, 79, of Corvallis, Ore., died Sept. 9, 2000, in Corvallis.
She was born March 29, 1921, in Bremerton to Bernard and Mattie Maude (Jamison) Ingram. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1938 and from the University of Oregon in 1963.
She married
Albert Sophus Clausen on Nov. 11, 1939, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He preceded her in death in 1964.
Mrs. Clausen was a French and Latin teacher at Sheldon High School in Eugene, Ore., for five years. She then worked for the Department of State as an administrative secretary in many foreign posts for 14 years. She retired in 1984.
She enjoyed family activities and traveling.
Survivors include two sons, Albert S. Clausen Jr. of Lacey and Paul T. Clausen of Lake Oswego, Ore.; a daughter, Christine Langenberg of Corvallis; a sister, Phyllis Summers
of Bremerton; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Braseth, Thelma Laier and Dana Cook.

Eugene Hoffman
Eugene C. Hoffman, 93, of Bremerton died Sept. 20, 2000, at Harrison Hospital of cancer.
He was born July 22, 1907, in Indian Prairie to Jacob and Bavetta (Stitzer) Hoffman. He graduated from Medical Lake High School in Medical Lake in 1926 and from Washington State University in 1930.
He married
Marjorie M. Lavender on May 14, 1932, in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Hoffman was an electrical engineer in the ordinance branch at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 34 years, retiring in 1966.
He was a member of the Catholic church and the Bremerton Yacht Club. He enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Wayne of Brinnon and Ronald of Port Townsend; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Ray Hoffman; and a sister, Doris McClane.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Nicholas Kilton
Nicholas James Kilton, 28, of Bainbridge Island died as a result of an automobile accident Sept. 16, 2000, on Bainbridge Island.
He was born Dec. 2, 1971, in Salt Lake City to James and Dina (Kyremes) Kilton. He graduated from Nova High School in Seattle in 1989.
He is survived by his mother of Banks, Ore., and his father of Abilene, Texas; a son, Nick Kilton; and two sisters, Anita and Tina Kilton, both of Banks.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Bonney-Watson Chapel in Capitol Hill.

William Brown Jr.
William Brown Jr., 75, of Bremerton died Sept. 8, 2000, at his home.
He was born May 11, 1925, in Philadel-phia to William F. and Ella A. (Barton) Brown.
He graduated from high school in Philadelphia in 1943, and from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1948. He also completed an Army specialists training program in engineering from 1943 to 1944, at Westminster College in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Brown served in the Army from 1943 to 1945, achieving the rank of private first class. He received a bronze star and three battle stars for service in the European Theater.
He married
Anna Marie Conn on June 9, 1951, in Philadelphia.
He worked in industrial metals for 26 years, retiring in 1984. He had been a salesman and sales manager.
Mr. Brown was a history buff and tutored at Olympic College. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Steve of Seabeck, Larry of York, S.C., and Dave of England; a daughter, Debbie of Silverdale; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Gambal.
Inurnment will take place at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent, with a memorial service there at 2 p.m. Tuesday. A reception will be held at his home on a later date.

Whit Hall
Whitman S. "Whit" Hall, 65, of Bremerton died Sept. 18, 2000, at his home of a heart attack.
He was born April 25, 1935, in Flint, Mich., to Romanzo and Amanda (Jane) Hall. He graduated from Nogales High School in Nogales, Ariz., in 1955.
Mr. Hall served in the Navy from 1955 to 1976, achieving the rank of electrician's mate first class. He received three good conduct medals and the Vietnam Service Medal with four bronze stars.
He married
Elsie (Mears) Mannin on April 19, 1982, in Reno, Nev.
For 15 years, he was an electrician at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and also at the Trident Refit Facility on the Naval Submarine
Base Bangor. He retired in 1990.
Mr. Hall had been a member of the Eagles and enjoyed making his own beer and wine. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bremerton.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Jeff Mannin of Bremerton and Dale Hall of Everett; six daughters, Jeanine Roberts of Bremerton, Debra Littlejohn and Janiel Helmstetler, both of Everett, Jeanette Mannin of Tacoma, Tonalea Knox of Missouri and Crystal Rasmussen of Oak Harbor; three sisters, Lorena McKiddy and Lucinda Rodriquez, both of Patagonia, Ariz., and Bernice Ebersole of Escondido, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was p receded in death by a son, Don; a brother, Devere; and a sister, Alicia Mitchell.
Visitation is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. today at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday also at Holy Trinity.

Donald Piercy
Donald L. Piercy, 76, of Bremerton, formerly of Port Orchard, died Sept. 18, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Aug. 6, 1924, in Flaxton, N.D., to Louis and Helen (Waterman) Piercy. He attended Flaxton High School.
He married
Doris J. Mortenson on Dec. 31, 1946, in Great Falls, Mont.
Mr. Piercy owned Don's Port Orchard Mobil Service Station for 17 years and worked for the South Kitsap School District for 11 years. He retired in 1989.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and painting.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, David of Port Orchard, Darryl and Dean, both of Bremerton, and Duane of Reno, Nev.; a daughter, Donna of Bremerton; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lyle, Ernest and Harold; and three sisters, Marion, Mildred and Margaret.
At his request, no services will be held. Inurnment will take place at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Vincent Harms
Vincent C. Harms, 82, of Port Orchard died Sept. 18, 2000, at his home.
He was born March 18, 1918, in White Lake, S.D., to Harvey and Frieda (Ingen-thron) Harms. He attended schools in Sand Creek, Wis., and White Lake.
Mr. Harms served in the Army from 1941 to 1945, achieving the rank of private first class. He received the Combat Infantryman's Badge and the American Defense Medal.
He married
Patricia R. King on Nov. 16, 1945, in Council, Idaho.
Mr. Harms was a mechanic in Shop 38, Code 434 at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 16 years. He retired in 1978.
He was a member of American Legion Post 30 in Port Orchard and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He also was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Port Orchard.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Kathleen Brashar and Judi Edwards, both of Port Orchard, and Lori Scott of Suquamish; three brothers, Harold of Colfax, Wis., Jack of Madison, Wis., and Dennis of Eagle River, Alaska; a sister, Eileen Bartelt of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael; a sister, Dorothy Spaulding; and a grandson, David Folger.
Visitation is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. today at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Port Orchard. Interment
will take place at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.

Leialani Feldman
Leialani Theresa Feldman, 83, of Belfair died Sept. 19, 2000, at her home.
She was born Feb. 7, 1917, in Wailuku, Hawaii, to Chong and Rebecca (Kauha) Gip.
She married
Jesse Feldman in April 1965, in Hawaii. He preceded her in death in 1999.
She was a physical therapist in Hawaii and California. She had volunteered with and worked for the Timberland Regional Library in Mason County.
She enjoyed rose gardening. She also was a volunteer with the Mason County Food Bank.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Owen of Poulsbo; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
