Angela Jaramillo
Angela Lynn Jaramillo, 34, of Grapeview died as a result of automobile accident injuries Aug. 5, 2000, in Mountain Home, Idaho.
She was born Sept. 23, 1965, in Snoqualmie, to Gary W. and Diana L. (Greenwood) Hammons. She graduated in 1984 from Juanita High School in Kirkland and attended the University of Washington for three years.
She married
Ken L. Jaramillo on April 16, 1994, in Reno, Nev.
Mrs. Jaramillo was a para-educator in the Seattle School District Special Education Department and later began her own business, Precious Pouches, a line of baby carriers she designed, manufactured and distributed.
She enjoyed sewing, and tending flower and vegetable gardens.
Survivors include her husband of Grapeview; father and stepmother, Gary and Laurie Hammons of Seattle; mother and stepfather, Diana and Donald Holmlund of Allyn; two sons, Riley and Sawyer, both of Grapeview; three brothers, Kyle Hammons and Patrick Bates, both of Kirkland, and Jeffrey Hammons; a sister, Danielle Hammons of Sandy, Ore.; and a grandmother, Hazel Greenwood of Mount Vernon.
A memorial service is planned from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Mary E. Theler Community Center, E. 22871 Highway 3 in Belfair. Weather permitting, services will be held outside. Arrangements are under the direction of McComb Funeral Home in Shelton.

McKenna Jaramillo
McKenna Lee Jaramillo, 4, of Grapeview died as a result of automobile accident injuries Aug. 6, 2000, in Boise, Idaho.
She was born Sept. 20, 1995, in Seattle, to Ken L. and Angela L. (Hammons) Jaramillo.
She enjoyed walking on the beach with her family and participating in preschool and playgroups.
Survivors include her father of Grapeview; two brothers, Riley and Sawyer, both of Grapeview; her grandparents, Gary and Laurie Hammons of Seattle and Donald and Diana Holmlund of Allyn; and a great-grandmother, Hazel M. Greenwood of Mount Vernon. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Granny Reinke
Olene Ruth "Granny" Reinke, 80, of Port Orchard died of a stroke Aug. 14, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Aug. 17, 1919, in Fon Du Lac, Wis., to Edward J. and Berthe (Wiese) Botteen. She graduated in 1936 from Winnebeago Lutheran Academy in Fon Du Lac.
She married
Emmett F. Reinke on Nov. 26, 1938, in Fon Du Lac. He preceded her in death in 1979.
Mrs. Reinke was a peripheral equipment operator in the data processing department at the Naval Supply Center in Oakland, Calif. She retired in 1981.
She enjoyed raising her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Bremerton.
Survivors include a sister, Alice Siebenhaar of Oshkosh, Wis.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, James in 1980 and William Sr. in 1982; and a brother, Edward Botteen in 1955.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

John Johnson
John G. Johnson, 83, of Eglon died of leukemia Aug. 14, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born May 14, 1917, in Seattle, to Franz August and Elizabeth (Larson) Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a longshoreman for 25 years, retiring in 1970.
He enjoyed camping and was a member of the Hansville Morning Coffee Group and the United Church of Christ in Suquamish.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia L. (Crabtree) Johnson; a foster son, Robert L. Cooper of Eglon; two daughters, Barbara L. Dean of Kingston and Sally A. Johnson of Poulsbo; a sister, Gertrud Quinn of Shelton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Robert; and a sister, Anna Hurst.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Friday at United Church of Christ in Suquamish. Inurnment will take place in Eglon.

Andy Powless
Andy Paul Powless, 29, of Port Orchard died Aug. 13, 2000, at his home.
He was born July 21, 1971, in Bellingham, to Joseph and Paula (Bollinger) Powless.
He was a professional musician in Kitsap County.
Mr. Powless was a member of Hope in Christ Ministries and was active in AA of Kitsap County.
He is survived by his wife, Carla of Port Orchard; mother, Paula Bollinger of Ferndale; father, Joseph Powless of Branford, Ontario, Canada; stepson, Scott Witherspoon; two stepdaughters, Damille and Jennifer Witherspoon; a sister, Jodi Waterman of Ferndale; grandparents, Paul and Loretta Bollinger of Bellingham; and great-grandmother, Mary Shetler-Greetan of Bellingham.
A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. today at Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel in Ferndale, with burial to follow at Greenacres Memorial Park. A memorial service will also be held at the Oasis Café in Bremerton.

Anne Bohren
Anne Mary Bohren, 67, of Port Ludlow died Aug. 13, 2000, in Port Ludlow.
She was born Feb. 17, 1933, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Charles and Ruth (Nelson) Gavin.
She married
Bill Bohren on June 3, 1978, in Lake Tahoe, Nev.
Mrs. Bohren worked as a bookkeeper. She was an active animal advocate and humanitarian. She was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Townsend.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Clayton Kordahl of Los Angeles; four daughters, Denise Rushing of Redwood City, Calif., Linda Bohren of Walnut Creek, Calif., Michelle Bohren of LaFayette, Calif., and Cameron Bohren of Concord, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation took place yesterday. A funeral service is planned for 2 p.m. today at Kosec Funeral Home in Port Townsend. Interment
will take place at St. Mary cemetery in Port Townsend.

Lucy Tomtan
Lucy I. Tomtan, 89, of Seattle died Aug. 13, 2000, in Port Orchard.
She was born Oct. 25, 1910, on Lummi Island to Arthur and Janet (McMillan) Granger. She graduated from Ballard High School in Seattle and Western Washington Normal School in Bellingham.
She married
Martin Tomtan on July 11, 1931, in Seattle. He preceded her in death in 1966.
Mrs. Tomtan was a member of Ahmes Court 41 and Ladies Oriental Shrine. She was the sewing chair-woman of the Shriner's Hos-pital for Children for 20 years.
She is survived by two sons, Paul of Seattle and Tom of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, Earl and Bob Granger, both of Lummi Island; two sisters, Irene McFarland of Lummi Island and Laurie Singhose of Port Angeles; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at Woodlawn cemetery in Ferndale.

Larry Crist
Larry Dean Crist, 64, of Bremerton died Aug. 11, 2000, at Harrison Hospital of cancer.
He was born Jan. 25, 1936, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Glenn Albert and Edith Evelyn (Thompson) Crist. He graduated from Reinbeck High School in Reinbeck, Iowa, in 1953.
Mr. Crist served in the Marine Corps from 1953 to 1976, achieving the rank of captain. He received a Korean service medal and a United Nations service medal.
He married
Margery Ann Weitzel on March 29, 1969, in Eugene, Ore.
He worked as a small-engine repairman for 21 years, retiring in 1997.
Mr. Crist was a member of AMVETS and enjoyed boating in Northwest waters.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Gary Leslie of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Deana Marie Walkowiak of Duluth, Minn.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Rae; and a brother, Eugene Albert.
Inurnment will take place at Maple Hill cemetery in Gladbrook, Iowa. Local arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee Funeral Home of Bremerton.

Carla Luther-White
Carla Marie Luther-White, 36, of Silverdale died Aug. 9, 2000, in Silverdale.
She was born July 1, 1964, in San Jose, Calif., to Carl M. and Mary A. (Willoughby) White. She graduated from high school in San Jose and attended West Valley Community College in Santa Clara, Calif.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed making crafts and arranging flowers.
Survivors include her partner, Donald James Baker; her mother of Port Ludlow; a son, Shane Thomas Luther of Port Ludlow; three brothers, Carl Arthur White of Santa Cruz, Calif., James Bruce White and Jay Bradford White, both of Port Ludlow; and a sister, Sharron K. Pickering of Redding, Calif. She was preceded in death by her father in 1998.
A private family memorial service has been held.
Corey Oleson
Corey Oleson, 17, of Port Orchard died Aug. 11, 2000, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
He was born July 14, 1983, in Bakers-field, Calif., to Tom Oleson and Laura Boswell-Pulu. He attended South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard and Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He enjoyed snowboarding and riding dirt bikes.
Survivors include his father of Port Orchard; mother of Corpus Christi; a sister, Samantha Jo Oleson of Port Orchard; grandparents, Barbara Oleson of Port Orchard and Barry and Terry Boswell of Mesa, Ariz.; and great-grandmother, Florence Ellis of Port Orchard.
A memorial service is planned for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Kay Burt
Kathleen "Kay" Burt, 89, of Bremerton died Aug. 11, 2000, at her home of natural causes.
She was born Dec. 6, 1910, in Marlboro, Mass., to John and Katherine (Cruise) Bradshaw. She graduated from high school in Massachusetts.
She married
Elwyn G. Burt on Aug. 28, 1959, in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in July of this year.
Mrs. Burt worked as a payroll and receiving clerk at Keyport Naval Torpedo Station for 21 years, retiring in 1972.
She enjoyed crocheting and singing, especially Irish songs. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth of Olympia; two daughters, Nancy Graham of Clinton, Ind., and Donna Reed of Silverdale; a sister, Mary Muline of Marlboro; nine grand-children; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and John "Jackie" Bradshaw; two sisters, Elizabeth Giorgi and Alice McCormick; and two grandsons.
Visitation is scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel. A grave-side service will be held afterward at the memorial park.
