Rebecca Michelle Martin
Rebecca Michelle Martin, the daughter of Steven and Phyllis (Clark) Martin of Bremerton, was stillborn June 21, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
She is survived by her parents; two sisters, Stacy and Christina, both of Bremerton; a brother, Joshua of Bremerton; her maternal grandparents, Harry and Mary Clark of Slidell, La.; her paternal grandmother, Barbara Martin of Greenville, Texas; and her paternal great-grandmother, Alice Terry, also of Greenville.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Hazel Carlin
Hazel Irene Carlin, 92, of Bremerton died June 5, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born April 18, 1908, in Lockport, N.Y., to Edward and Lawlis (Marshall) Carlin. She graduated from Lockport High School and from Erie County University Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1932.
She had been a registered nurse.
She was a member of St. Catherine's Guild of St. Matthew's Cathedral of Dallas. She was a member of the Episcopal church.
She is survived by a sister, Helen Warwick of De Bary, Fla. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Raymond, and her former husband, Carleton Poole.

Sylvia Hill
Sylvia Marie Hill, 91, of Bremerton died June 21, 2000, in Renton.
She was born June 17, 1909, in College Point, N.Y., to C.F. and Nettie (Hoenig) Grice.
She married
Henry Edward Toops on Aug. 15, 1925. He preceded her in death in 1973.
She married
Lloyd "Red" Hill. He preceded her in death in 1976.
She was a member of Elks Lodge 1181 in Bremerton.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorla June (Toops) Doll of Bremerton; a sister, Stella Wetzel of Vero Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Joan Bennatts, this year.
A private family memorial service is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Bremerton Elks Lodge 1181 for the Elks carpet replacement fund.
John Morgensen
John E. Morgensen, 58, of Chimacum died June 21, 2000, in Port Townsend.
He was born April 29, 1942, in Bremerton, to James and Anna (Vodder) Morgensen.
He married
Darlene Moore in Kenai, Alaska.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Anna Marie Vodder Morgensen Heistch of Port Townsend; two sons, John-Paul of Edmonds and Steve of Washtucna; a daughter, Erica-Lee Morgensen Hickey of Bremerton; a brother, James of Poulsbo; a sister, Betty Cloud of North Kenai, Alaska; and two grandchildren.
An open house for friends and family is planned for noon to 6 p.m. today at the family home in Chimacum.
Eleonor Roy
Eleonor Mejia Roy, 59, of Bremerton died June 22, 2000, at Harrison Hospital of complications from cancer.
She was born March 12, 1941, in Tarlac, Philippines, to Antonio and Geronima (Espino) Mejia. She graduated from high school in the Philippines.
She married
Victorino Roy on June 8, 1965, in Malasique, Philippines.
She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton. She enjoyed cooking and playing bingo.
Survivors include her husband; her mother of Bremerton; two sons, Mario of Bremerton and Victorino Jr. of the Philippines; two daughters, Cecilia Roy Llarenas and Aurelia Mejia Roy, both of the Philippines; six brothers, Ildefonso, Armondo Sr., Antonio Jr., Raul, Crisanto and Armando Jr., all of Bremerton; two sisters, Filipina Mejia Cendana of Seattle and Louisa Mejia Clemente of Bremerton; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Nestor Mejia, in 1997.
Rosaries will be said at the Clemente home at 6 p.m. today, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The visitation schedule is as follows: 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home with a rosary at 6 p.m.; 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Woodlawn with a rosary at 6 p.m.; 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church with a rosary at 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. July 1 at Our Lady Star of the Sea with a graveside service following at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Frank Genoe
Frank Harold Forrest Genoe, 67, of Wauna died June 17, 2000, in Tacoma of cardiovascular pulmonary disease.
He was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Canada to Harold and Lillian (Lake) Genoe.
Mr. Genoe was a boilermaker.
He is survived by a brother, Robert of Belfair, and a sister, Evelyne Hart of Gig Harbor.
A boatside memorial service is planned for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Port Orchard Marina, Gate Four. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee Funeral Home in Tacoma.
Dave Spiker
Dave Spiker, 45, of Port Orchard died June 21, 2000, in Bellevue of natural causes.
He was born Nov. 14, 1954, in Albany, Ore., to Charles and Shirley Ann (Payne) Spiker. He graduated from Vancouver (Wa.) High School and from the University of Washington.
He married
Thin Choo Yin on Dec. 10, 1983, in Vancouver, Wash.
Mr. Spiker had worked as a nuclear engineer at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for more than 20 years.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife; his parents of Vancouver, Wash.; two daughters, Sheila and Marie Spiker, both of Port Orchard; and two brothers, Mark of Portland, Ore., and Brian of Vancouver, Wash.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A graveside service is planned for 2 p.m. Monday at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.

Winston Metcalf
Winston Stanley Metcalf, 59, of Sequim died of a heart attack June 16, 2000, at Lake Crescent.
He was born Aug. 29, 1940, in Bremerton, to Stanley and Lois (Anderson) Metcalf. He graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1958 and attended Olympic College.
He married
Sharin Baker on Dec. 15, 1994, in Port Townsend.
Mr. Metcalf served in the Army for three years. He had worked as a space engineer at The Boeing Co. for 20 years. He was a member of the North Olympic Fly Fishing Association and the Society of Professional Engineers.
Survivors include his wife; his parents; a daughter, Sheila Peck of Renton; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service and reception will be from 1 to 4 p.m. July 2 at his parents' home. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Troop 1491, c/o St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 525 North Fifth Ave., Sequim, WA 98382.
Mary McDonald
Mary M. McDonald, 91, of Bremerton died June 21, 2000, at Belmont Terrace Convalescent Center in Bremerton.
She was born Dec. 9, 1908, in Lanzo, Italy, to Joseph and Madeline (Vietti) Marietta. She graduated from Roslyn High School in Roslyn in 1927.
She married
George McDonald on May 26, 1928, in Roslyn. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Mrs. McDonald was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bremerton Community Concert Association and Bremerton Bible Church.
Survivors include a son, George of Bellevue; a daughter, Esther Peterson of Bremerton; a sister, Margaret Bugnatto of Oakland, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be today at Forest Lawn cemetery. A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Monday at Lincoln Avenue Bible Church in Bremerton. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Phyllis Harrison
Phyllis Catherine Harrison, 95, of Poulsbo died June 19, 2000, at Martha & Mary Health Center in Poulsbo of natural causes.
She was born Dec. 13, 1904, in Lynhurst, N.J., to Phillip and Elizabeth Frobose.
She married
Edwin Grant Harrison on Feb. 2, 1925, in Orange, N.J. They were divorced. He preceded her in death in 1986. She enjoyed gardening and bingo.
Survivors include three sons, Rich of Anacortes, Wally of Poulsbo and Bob of Seattle; a daughter, Jean Hauck of Poulsbo; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Nancy Swanson
Nancy Lee Swanson, 55, of Allyn died June 19, 2000, at her home of pancreatic cancer.
She was born April 28, 1945, in Puyallup to Murray and Esther (Geiger) Dumouchel. She graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1962.
She married
Robert Swanson on May 3, 1978, in Montesano.
Mrs. Swanson had worked at Belfair Drug as a clerk for the past eight years.
She enjoyed fishing and boating.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Maureen Jones of Bremerton; two brothers, Larry Dumouchel of Bremerton and Richard Dumouchel of Seattle; and two grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no service. A private interment will be at Forest Lawn cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

George Collins
Former Bremerton resident George Bruce Collins, 65, of Denver died June 18, 2000, in Denver of heart failure.
He was born June 1, 1935, in Anthony, Kan., to Ray and Lena (Madsen) Collins. He graduated from Glenns Ferry High School in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. He married
Francine Betterton.
Mr. Collins served in the Army for seven years.
He had been a contractor in Kitsap County for several years. In 1995, he started his own company, George's Boiler Service, in Denver.
While living in Denver, Mr. Collins was a Mason and a Shriner.
Survivors include his wife; a son, George Randall Collins of Denver; two daughters, Starla Petersen of Englewood, Colo., and Sharon Pinken of Fernwood, Idaho; six stepdaughters, Rosalie Gremillion of Port Orchard, Kathy Jones of Missoula, Mont., and Ina Sunshine Pennington and Debra, Jeanie and Leann White, all of Denver; a stepson, Don White of Denver; six sisters, Ina Jones-Phillips of Silverdale, Rose Transue and Mary Strand, both of Port Orchard, and Lula Higgins, Lola Huckins and Midge Jasper, all of Idaho; four brothers, Rufus Collins of Bremerton, Jim and Melvin Mitchell, both of Idaho, and Alvin Mitchell of Omaha, Neb.; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Lloyd Collins, in 1968.
A celebration of his life is planned for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Sunnyslope Community Hall.
