Richard Carlson
Richard Carlson, 40, of Bremerton died May 15, 2000, in Bremerton.
He was born April 5, 1960, in Bremerton to Robert and Edith "Midge" Carlson. He grew up in Bremerton, graduating from Bremerton High School.
He was a general laborer in Kitsap County.
Survivors include his parents of Port Orchard; two brothers, Robert Jr. of Bremerton and Roger of Port Orchard; and one sister, Gayle Kingsbury of Bremerton.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Sunday at Alcoholics Anonymous, 904 Mckenzie Ave. in Bremerton. Memorial donations may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous in Bremerton.
Doc Stradley Jr.
William A. "Doc" Stradley Jr., 56, of Bremerton died May 16, 2000, at Harrison Hospital after a battle with cancer.
He was born Dec. 19, 1943, in Wilmington, Del. He graduated from Hospital Corps School in Great Lakes, Ill., in 1971, from Mohegan Community College in Norwich, Conn., in 1982, and from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1984. He also completed a radiological control technician apprenticeship at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in 1991.
He married
Anna Marie Vitucci on March 16, 1990, in Port Orchard.
He served in the Navy from 1961 until his retirement in 1988, achieving the rank of chief petty officer. He was a hospital corpsman at many naval hospitals across the United States and also served aboard USS Guitarro and USS Florida. His military honors include six Good Conduct awards, two Meritorious Unit Commendations, three letters of commendation, the Vietnam Service Medal, the National Defense Medal, the Navy Expedition Medal and submarine qualification.
He had worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for nine years.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, David Wiley of Bremerton, James Wiley of Yakima, Tom Renne of Port Orchard and Shawn Jessup of Kennewick; three daughters, Loretta Jessup of Kennewick, Ellie Renne of Port Orchard and Eleanor Wiley of Yakima; one brother, Harvey of Smithfield, Va.; and 12 grandchildren, Jessica, Bobbisue, Larissa and Rissa Sue, all of Kennewick, Michael of Yakima, William, Tommy, Tyler and Andrew, all of Port Orchard, and Cassie, Alex and Joseph, all of Delaware.
A celebration of life and potluck will be held at the family home at 1 p.m. Sunday. Burial at sea will take place at a later date aboard USS Florida. Arrangements are by Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Karin Lane
Karin Inez Lane, 32, of Bremerton died May 13, 2000, in Bremerton, the result of a homicide.
She was born March 1, 1968, in Bremerton to Gary and Evelyn (Hards) Lane. She grew up in Seabeck and Silverdale, graduating from Central Kitsap High School in 1986.
She had worked at Walton House in Seabeck as a gardener and housekeeper for the past two years. Previously, she had been a gardener at The Manor Farm Inn in Poulsbo and a front desk clerk with Alacazam Printing in Silverdale.
Survivors include her parents of Silverdale; and one brother, Ken of Seabeck.
A memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Monday at Crosby Chapel in Seabeck, with a reception following. Cremation is by Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Christine Haner
Christine Ruth Haner, 53, of Bremerton died May 17, 2000, in Bremerton.
She was born May 17, 1947, in Seattle. She graduated from West High School in Bremerton.
She married
Gerry L. Haner on July 31, 1965, in Bremerton.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; her parents, Clifton and Dorothy Craycraft; two daughters, Belinda Haner-Peterson and Bradie Haner-Morris; one brother, Larry Craycraft; and four grandchildren.
A celebration of life is planned for 11:30 a.m. Monday at Summit Avenue Presbyterian Church in Bremerton.

Edward Stebor
Former Bremerton resident Edward William Stebor, 86, of Lakebay died May 16, 2000, in Bremerton.
He was born Sept. 23, 1913, in Lake City, Minn., to Edward A. and Alice (Teachout) Stebor. He was raised and educated in Minnesota.
He married
Irene Sather on June 10, 1933, in Warroad, Minn.
He was active in three bowling leagues and was a square dance teacher and caller.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Edward S. of Silverdale; one daughter, Joyce Wilkinson of Seattle; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Samuel Fitz
Samuel W. Fitz, 61, of Bremerton died May 17, 2000, in Bremerton.
He was born April 21, 1939, in Bremerton. He graduated from West High School in Bremerton and attended Olympic College.
He married
Eileen Stamper on July 23, 1960, in Bremerton. He owned Sam and Dan's Bridge Tender in Bremerton for 35 years, retiring in 1995.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Wesley of Bremerton and Dan of Santa Barbara, Calif.; one daughter, Cheri Williams of Kingston; two brothers, Norman and Jim, both of Bremerton; one sister, Janice Batt of Bremerton; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Silverdale Lutheran Church. Arrangements are by Tuell-McKee of Bremerton.

Francis Tull
Francis G. Tull, 79, of Poulsbo died May 16, 2000, at Belmont Terrace in Bremerton of natural causes.
He was born Sept. 3, 1920, in Dewey, Okla., to Girley H. and Ida (Arnold) Tull. He grew up in Independence, Kan.
Mr. Tull served in the Navy from 1941 to 1945. He was stationed on USS Pennsylvania when Pearl Harbor was bombed and was one of the few survivors of the bombing of USS Cooper.
He managed and worked at several bowling alleys in Washington and Oregon.
Mr. Tull was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Church of God in Winston, Ore.
Survivors include two sisters, Margieuette Woodcock of Bremerton and Emilie Avery of Poulsbo; and one brother, John of Springfield, Ore. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Olga Lundberg
Longtime Port Orchard resident Olga G. Lundberg, 84, died May 16, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Dec. 19, 1915, in Central Valley near Silverdale to Ole and Louise Fosberg. She grew up in Central Valley, graduating from Central Kitsap High School in 1932.
She married
Maynard "Swede" Lundberg on June 12, 1937, in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1995.
She was secretary to the superintendent of the Washington Veterans Home in Retsil from 1951 to 1972. Previously, she had worked for the Central Kitsap School District from 1933 to 1937.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard, the Sons of Norway, the Sidney Museum Association, Pythian Sisters 17 and the Eastern Star in Port Orchard. She was the last surviving charter member of the Ann Wilson Guild, which formed in 1937.
Survivors include one son, John of Lakewood; one daughter, Janet Pugh of Port Orchard; one sister, Ruth Laraway of Seattle; five grandchildren, Kari Oliver, Kevin Pugh, Christina Lundberg, Kathi Stimmel and Bjorn Lundberg; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A funeral service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard, followed by interment at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.

Lorna Parry
Lorna Colleen Harris Parry, 58, of Port Orchard died May 17, 2000, at her home.
She was born March 13, 1942, in Weiser, Idaho, to William and Doris (Powell) Harris. She grew up in central Oregon, graduating from Mitchell High School in Mitchell, Ore., in 1960.
She married
Ronald S. Parry on March 12, 1988, in Virginia City, Nev.
She was a homemaker. She was an artist, bartender and waitress in Kitsap County for the past 25 years.
She was a member of the Juniper Art Guild in Oregon in the 1970s.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Lark Mulvahill of Lakeland, Fla.; two daughters, Lori Layton of Redmond, Ore., and Lona Forseth of Burns, Ore.; two brothers, Lonnie Harris of Winchester, Ore., and Curtis Whaley of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister, Pat Towell of Bend, Ore.; and six grandchildren, Richie and RaShauna Fulton and Jade Layton, all of Redmond, and Brandon, Brent Jr. and Rashell Forseth, all of Burns. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Mulvahill, in 1984.
A special gathering will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Zelda Holman
Zelda E. "Skinny" Holman, 84, of Shelton died May 16, 2000, at Mason General Hospital.
She was born Oct. 10, 1915, in Ruthven, Iowa.
She married
Clyde Holman on Dec. 16, 1933. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Holman was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sisters, Ardith Lund-Doty of Abilene, Texas, and Donna Coutcher of Kent.

Robert Meunier
Robert Edward Meunier, 77, of Bremerton and formerly of Maryland, died May 16, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 12, 1922, in Indianapolis to Thomas and Gladys (Howell) Meunier.
He married
Carolyn Zukas on April 5, 1944, in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Meunier served in the Navy during World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He retired as a photographer first class.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Elks Club, both in Bremerton.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Donna Clark of Anchorage, Alaska; three grandchildren, Debbie Meyer, Mike Clark and Lisa Butler; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Lewis Funeral Chapel, with cremation at Cherry Grove Memorial Park. Mr. Meunier's cremated remains will be buried at sea by the Navy.
Chuck Collett
Charles "Chuck" Garvin Collett, 44, of Port Orchard died May 14, 2000, at his home after a 10-month battle with cancer.
He was born June 24, 1955, in Seattle to Frank and Marty (Schwartzman) Garvin. He grew up in Des Moines, graduating from Mount Rainier High School there in 1973.
He worked in retail sales with McLendon Hardware and Pay-n-Pak, both in Seattle.
He married
Cyndie Campbell on Aug. 11, 1990, in Federal Way.
Survivors include his wife; his mother and stepfather, Marty and Fred Collett of Port Orchard; his father and stepmother, Frank and Jann Garvin of Vashon Island; one son, Chad of Federal Way; two stepsons, Clayton Poole of Tacoma and Christopher Poole of Spokane; two brothers, Billy and Scott; and three sisters, Jeri, Brenda and Lonnie.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
