Bill Denton
Former Bremerton resident William "Bill" Norman Denton, 53, of Enumclaw died May 11, 2000, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
He was born Aug. 27, 1946, in Tacoma.
He served in the Army, stationed in Vietnam as a journalist for the Vietnam Review in Da Nang from 1967 to 1968. He achieved the rank of sergeant.
He founded the Idaho Pizza To Go stores.
Survivors include one daughter, Morgan Lindsey Denton of Bremerton; one son, Chad William Denton of Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska; one stepdaughter, Tarra Denelle Lewis of Silverdale; four grandchildren, Devon Lewis of Silverdale and Victoria, Bo and Austin Denton, all of Anchorage; his mother; one brother; and one sister.
A service is planned for 3 p.m. today at the New Tahoma cemetery in Kent. Arrangements are by American Memorial Funeral Home in Renton.
Dorothy Page
Former longtime Bremerton resident Dorothy Page, 75, of Honolulu died May 13, 2000, in Honolulu at the home of her daughter.
She was born in Jamestown, N.D., on Feb. 25, 1925, to Olive and James Laughlin. She graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma in 1943, and later attended Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho.
She married
James Page in Boise, Idaho, on May 31, 1952. They moved to Bremerton in 1955. Mr. Page preceded his wife in death in 1984.
Mrs. Page had worked for Catholic Community Services in Bremerton, retiring in 1992.
Survivors include one son, Donald of Bremerton; one daughter, Janet Tomlinson of Honolulu; four grandchildren, Kristin Page of Bremerton, and Duke, Baron and Brittany Tomlinson, all of Honolulu; three brothers, Joseph Owen Laughlin of Missouri, James Laughlin of Yuma, Ariz., and Martell Laughlin of Seattle; two sisters, Marieta Lee of Tacoma and Marilyn Gardner of Seattle. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Leroy Laughlin and Glen Mathison; and one sister, Toreva Crandall.
At her request, there will be no services. Arrangements are by Ordensteins and Williams Funeral Services in Honolulu. A committal service will take place at 3 p.m. Friday at Willamette National cemetery in Portland, Ore.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Honolulu Unit, 2370B Nuuanu Ave., Honolulu, HI 96817, or to The St. Francis Hospice, 24 Pulwa Road, Honolulu, HI 96817.
Karen McMullen
Karen Linda McMullen, 50, of Poulsbo died May 12, 2000, in Seattle.
She is survived by her husband, John; two sons, Richard and Andrew; her mother and stepfather, Betty and Michel Chollet of Bellevue; and one sister, Janice Wilen of Carnation.
Visitation is scheduled from noon to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Green's Bellevue Funeral Home, 1215 145th Place SE, in Bellevue. A funeral service is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, also at Green's. Burial will take place at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue.

Peter Veich
Peter Veich, 70, of Belfair died May 13, 2000, in Belfair of natural causes.
He was born Feb. 20, 1930, in Milwaukee to Christ and Catherine (Mikulich) Veich. He grew up in Pembine, Wis., attending Pembine High School.
He married
Margaret M. Baxter on Sept. 8, 1956, in Pembine.
Mr. Veich served in the Navy from 1948 to 1957, aboard USS Bayfield, USS Sullivans, USS Osberg and USS Blandy. He later served in the Air Force from 1957 until retiring in 1970. He was stationed at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Ocoda, Mich., at Air Station Wakkanai in Japan and at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kan.
He was a utility systems specialist at the Naval Submarine Base Bangor from 1973 until his retirement in 1985.
Mr. Veich was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 239 in Bremerton, a member of the IAMA Union and a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Belfair.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Peter of Belfair; one daughter, Chris Souder of West Linn, Ore.; one brother, Nicholas of Port Orchard; and two grandchildren, Kyle and Bryan Souder, both of West Linn. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Monroe, in 1987 and by a brother, Joseph, in 1965.
Services for Mr. Veich will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Daisy Reid Twiss
Longtime Bremerton resident Daisy A. Reid Twiss, 100, of Stanwood died May 12, 2000, at Josephine Sunset Home in Stanwood. She had lived in Stanwood for the past 20 years.
She had worked at Reid Christmas Tree Farm near Gorst from 1963 to 1980.
Survivors include one step-daughter, Iris Twiss Kohl of Renton; six step-grandchildren, Shannon Kohl Felix of Seattle, Kevin and Paul Twiss, Karen Christensen, Kristin Bilodeau and Tom Christiansen, all of Bremerton; and several step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul B. Twiss; a step-son, Paul A. Twiss; and by two brothers, George and Leslie.
A service is planned for 1:30 p.m. today at Josephine Sunset Home Chapel. Arrangements are by Gilbertson Funeral Home in Stanwood.

Francis Tull
Francis G. Tull, 79, of Poulsbo died May 16, 2000, at Belmont Terrace in Bremerton of natural causes.
He was born Sept. 3, 1920, in Dewey, Okla., to Girley and Ida (Arnold) Harrison. He grew up in Independence, Kan.
Mr. Tull served in the Navy from 1941 to 1945. He was stationed on USS Pennsylvania when Pearl Harbor was bombed and was one of the few survivors of the bombing of USS Cooper.
He managed and worked at several bowling alleys in Washington and Oregon.
Mr. Tull was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Church of God in Winston, Ore.
Survivors include two sisters, Margieuette Woodcock of Bremerton and Emilie Avery of Poulsbo; and one brother, John of Springfield, Ore. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Olga Lundberg
Olga G. Lundberg, 84, of Bremerton died May 16, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Dec. 19, 1915, in Central Valley near Silverdale to Ole and Louise Fosberg. She grew up in Central Valley, graduating from Central Kitsap High School in 1932.
She married
Maynard "Swede" Lundberg on June 12, 1937, in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1995.
She was a secretary to the superintendent of the Washington Veterans Home in Retsil from 1951 to 1972. Previously, she had worked for the Central Kitsap School District from 1933 to 1937.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard, the Sons of Norway, the Sidney Museum Association, Pythian Sisters 17 and the Eastern Star in Port Orchard. She was the last surviving charter member of the Ann Wilson Guild, which formed in 1937.
Survivors include one son, John of Lakewood; one daughter, Janet Pugh of Port Orchard; one sister, Ruth Laraway of Seattle; five grandchildren, Kari Oliver, Kevin Pugh, Christina Lundberg, Kathi Stimmel and Bjorn Lundberg; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A funeral service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard, followed by interment at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.

Royce Meyers
Royce Clayborne Meyers, 59, of Port Orchard died
May 14, 2000, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He had lived in Kitsap County for the past 10 years.
He was born Nov. 21, 1940, in Springfield, Mo., to Norman and Virginia (Reeder) Meyers.
Mr. Meyers served in the Army from 1960 to 1963.
He was an industrial X-ray technician with the oil pipelines in Alaska.
Survivors include two sons, Steven of Tenino and Robert of Port Orchard; one daughter, Julie Winchester of Port Orchard; and five grandchildren.
At his request there will be no services. Arrangements are by Lewis Funeral Chapel, with cremation by Cherry Grove Memorial Park.
Eric Rasmussen
Eric P. Rasmussen, 45, of Grapeview died May 14, 2000, in Grapeview.
He was born April 18, 1955, in Tacoma. He was a college graduate.
He had worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 10 years.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Lois Rasmussen of Belfair; one son, Eric Jr. of Port Orchard; two sisters, Karin Burleson of Port Orchard and Alice Archer of Belfair; and one grandchild.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Belfair Assembly of God Church.
Gina Wright
Gina Laurie Wright, 31, of Belfair died May 15, 2000, in Belfair.
She was born June 21, 1968, to Terry and Suzanne Wright. She graduated from North Mason High School in 1986.
Survivors include her parents of Belfair; and one son, Justin of Belfair.
A memorial service conducted by the United Methodist Church is planned for noon Saturday at the Mary Theler Community Center in Belfair. Arrangements are by Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Joyceann Mikkelsen
Joyceann Mikkelsen, 64, of Bremerton died May 13, 2000, in Bremerton of congestive heart failure.
She was born Jan. 25, 1936, in Minneapolis, to Bertil and Jenny Nelson. She graduated from San Pedro High School in San Pedro, Calif., in 1954.
She worked as an insurance office representative for 35 years, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of Silverdale United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Carl of Asheboro, N.C., Mark of Bremerton and Craig of Poulsbo; two sisters, Lorraine Hefner of Port Hadlock and Haldis Olguin of Crestline, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Thursday at Silverdale United Methodist Church.
Raymond Nickelson
Raymond Glen Nickelson, 80, of Bremerton died May 13, 2000, at Northwoods Lodge in Silverdale of a heart attack and complications from Parkinson's disease.
He was born May 29, 1919, in Seattle. He grew up in Seattle, graduating from Broadway High School there.
He married
Alice Caroline Vleck on May 26, 1946. She preceded him in death in 1998.
Mr. Nickelson served in the Army.
He retired from a career with the Continental Baking Company (Wonder Bread).
Mr. Nickelson was a member of Kitsap Golf & Country Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy of Edgewood and Sally of Shoreline.
No service is planned.
