Mr. Clifford F. Watson, Age: 59, resident of Port Orchard, Washington, died of cancer on December 20, 2001 at Naval Regional Hospital, Bremerton.
Clifford had been born on August 23, 1942 in Port Orchard, to Curtis and Agnes(Cornwell)Watson.
He graduated from South Kitsap High School, Port Orchard, in 1960.
He served in the United States Navy from 1960 until 1980. He achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer, E-7, prior to his honorable discharge.
On February 5, 1972, Clifford married Marie Hurst in Reno, Nevada.
Following his naval career he worked for eight years for Vitro Laboratories as an Engineer. He retired in 1988.
Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Marie, of the family home; sons, Gary, James and Steven Watson, and William and Wayne Trask, all of Port Orchard; daughters, Melanie Auclair of Florida; Mary Olson and Diane Estes of Port Orchard; brothers, Curtis Watson of Port Orchard, and Warren Watson of Bremerton; sister, Frances Cross of Port Orchard; fourteen grandchildren, and seven nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in his honor will be held on Monday, December 31, 2001, at 1:30 p.m., at Rill Chapel. Reverend Larry Mead will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard. A reception will be held at the Rill Chapel Hospitality Room.
All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.

Floyd A. Ferguson
Born in Van Nuys, CA on Dec. 1, 1915
Departed on Jan. 16, 2002 and resided in Bremerton, WA.
Mr. Floyd A. Ferguson, Age: 86, died of natural causes on January 16, 2002, at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. Mr. Ferguson had been a resident of Bremerton.
Floyd was born on December 1, 1915 in Van Nuys, California, to John and Nina(Wescott)Ferguson.
He served in the United States Navy from 1932-1935, and service a second tour of duty from 1941-1946. Floyd achieved the rank of Chief Warrant Officer II.
On July 19, 1935, Floyd married Jennie F. Davis in Seattle, Washington.
Floyd worked for the telephone company, retiring in 1959. He then built a 56 foot commercial fishing boat, which he operated for four years. He was a member of the Kitsap County Train Club and Masons.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Jennie, of the family home; a son, John A. Ferguson, of Huntington Beach, California; a daughter, Patricia A."Trish" Davis, Keyport, Washington; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Barbour, and a brother, Donald Ferguson.
There are no service arrangements at this time.
All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home and Crematory.

Marion O. Razey
Born in Naches, Washington on Dec. 26, 2001
Departed on Dec. 26, 2001 and resided in Port Orchard, WA.

Mr. Marion O. Razey, Age: 91, resident of Port Orchard, Washington, died of Pneumonia at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton on December 17, 2001.
Marion was born on June 28, 1910 in Naches, Washington to Lewis and Mary(Barndt)Razey. He graduated from Wapato High School in Wapato, Washington in 1928.
On September 30, 1949, Marion married Fredenia R. Sontag in Ellensburg, Washington. He devoted his life to farming, retiring after fifty years in 1979.
Mr. Razey was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Marion will be fondly remembered for his love, kindness and generosity to family, friends and those in need. He delighted those around him with the intensity and joy with which he lived life. Even though we will miss his twinkling brown eyes, quick wit and, yes, even his practical jokes, we know that he lives on in the love of Christ and the heart of humankind.
Family gathered to honor Marion at his burial on December 20, 2001 at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.
He is survived by his wife, Fredenia, of the family home in Port Orchard; a son, Michael F. Razey of Everett, Washington; a daughter, Barbara Razey Simmons of Port Orchard; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Walter(Bud) Razey; a daughter, Jacqueline(Jackie) Lacey; and brothers, Cliff and L.J. Razey.
All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.

Betty Lou Lloyd
Born in Wenatchee, Washington on Jan. 26, 1925
Departed on Dec. 25, 2001 and resided in Bremerton, WA.

Mrs. Betty Lou Lloyd, Age: 76, resident of Bremerton, Washington, died in Poulsbo, Washington on December 25, 2001.
Betty had been born on January 2, 1925 in Wenatchee, Washington, to Gordon and Grace(Kelly)McMillian. She attended Lincoln High School in Tacoma, and Tacoma Business College, graduating from both schools.
On November 11, 1949, Betty married Robert G. Lloyd in Tacoma, Washington. She worked for the South Kitsap School District Food Services for twelve years, retiring in 1979.
Betty loved dancing and swimming. She was a member of the Christian faith. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1989.
Survivors include a son, Greg Lloyd of Bremerton, a daughter, Sherryl Hawes of Bremerton; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to PAWS of Bremerton, Post Office Box 2235, Bremerton, Washington, 98310.
A memorial service in her honor will be held on Friday, December 28, 2001 at 4:30 p.m., at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. The Reverend Larry Mead will be officiating. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.
All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home and Crematory.

David D. Scarborough
Born in Allene, Arkansas on May. 17, 1934
Departed on Dec. 23, 2001 and resided in Port Orchard, WA.

David D. Scarborough, Age: 67, of Port Orchard, Washington, died on December 23, 2001 at his home. He was born May 17, 1934 in Allene, Arkansas to Charles and Flossie(Fitzgibbons) Scarborough.
David graduated from Jefferson High School in Daly City, California in 1952. He married Carole L. Cooper on May 22, 1953 in Daly City. Mr. Scarborough worked as a tool and die maker for 37 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Carole; a son, David D. Scarborough of Port Orchard; two daughters, Robin Alexander of Port Orchard, and Nancy Garcia of Oakley, California; two brothers, Charles Scarborough of Reno, Nevada, and Denzel Scarborough of Richmond, California; a sister, Maxine Rhodes of Ashdown, Arkansas; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2001, at Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County, Post Office Box 3416, Silverdale, Washington, 98383-3416.
Arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home and Crematory.

Esther Hilfreda Jessup

Esther Hilfreda Jessup, Age: 93, resident of Port Orchard, Washington, died on December 26, 2001, of natural causes.
Esther was born on July 4, 1908 in Tracyton, Washington, to Olaf Haagaford Peterson and Hilda Maria(Hansen)Peterson. She attended and graduated from Central Kitsap High School in Silverdale, Washington in 1926. She then attended Pearce Business College, in Bremerton, Washington, graduating in 1928.
Esther dedicated her life to being an excellent wife and mother. She was also a telephone switchboard operator in Silverdale for three years.
Esther was a life member of Pythian Sisters abd Ann Wilson Children's Orthopedic Guild. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard.
Esther is survived by her sons, Ronald James Adkins of Port Orchard; Gary Dennis Adkins of Poulsbo, Washington; daughter, Lorraine Maria Harmon of York, Maine; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers Aegil and Harold Peterson.
A funeral service will be held in her honor at First Lutheran Church of Port Orchard on Friday, January 4, 2002, at 1:00 p.m..
Viewing is scheduled for Friday, January 4, 2002, from 12:00-1:00 p.m., at First Lutheran Church. Pastor Alan Cudahy will be officiating. Interment icon will be at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard. A reception will follow the funeral service at First Lutheran Church.
The family has asked that memorial donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
All arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home in Port Orchard.

Evelyn S. Willson
Born in Portland, Oregon on Mar. 25, 1915

Evelyn Willson was born on March 25, 1915, to John and Mina Stavney in Portland, Oregon. She was a "PK" (Preacher's kid), the youngest of six children in a busy Lutheran parsonage with three brothers and two sisters, Waldemar (Walt), Valborg (Val), Luthard (Lute), Gerhard (Gay), and Dagna (Doug). The Stavney family moved to Ballard in Seattle, Washington. They were a happy family unit that was very active in the community. Evelyn was a talented tennis and softball player and loved to swim in the Puget Sound. She graduated from Ballard High School in 1932 and Seattle Pacific College in 1936. She worked at the Tea Room at the downtown Fredrick & Nelson while in college. She became a classroom and physical education teacher for the Rochester School District in Southwest Washington.
She met Woodrow(Woody) Willson across the chemistry table while in college. They were married by her father, Reverend John A. Stavney on June 29th, 1940 in Seattle. The young couple moved to Bremerton where Woody worked as a nuclear chemist in the Puget Sounda Naval Shipyard for over 39 years. Evelyn was a busy mother raising three sons and one daughter. Each of her childlren sought both their father and mother's advice and counseling until their passing. John (& Kathy), a retired school principal and adminstrator, lives on Whidbey Island. Jerry (& Sunny), a retired assistant superintendant and school principal, lives in Port Orchard. They have two grown children and one grandchild. Ron (& Shari) lives in Port Orchard and has two grown children. Ron has worked for the Naval Exchange for 33 years. Karen (& Bill), a math instructor at Olympic College also lives in Port Orchard. Both of their children are attending college.
Though busy, Evelyn's life was one of service to others, planting spiritual seeds in the lives of children. She was an active leader in Sunday school, Christian Youth Crusaders, vacation bible school, children's classes at Burlington and Warm Beach family camps, young married couples classes, Child Evangelism, Christian Women's Club, as well as her own children's activities. She did all this while first being a faithful prayer warrior for her children, family, friends and others. She had a wonderful sense of humor, appreciation for flowers, enjoyed sitting on the deck and feeding the ducks and seagulls down at her beach. She had a gift for entertaining others with her meat and potato meals, which included a signature "chocolate cake." She also enjoyed taking long car rides and going out to eat. Evelyn's "enjoyment" of life all took place beside her best friend and life long companion, Woody. After retirement, they traveled to South Korea in 1979 as part of President Jimmy Carter's Friendship Force. During their visit the Premier was assassinated and the government was overthrown. While this was a trip of a lifetime for them, they never traveled out of the United States again.
In 1994, Evelyn & Woody moved from their waterfront home on Phinney Bay in Bremerton to a new home on Yukon Harbor in South Kitsap where they spent their remaining years loving each other, their children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Woody, (who passed away in February 2001) and Evelyn were married for 61 years. Evelyn died on December 26, 2001. She was 86 years old.
In the last few years of her life, and despite the anxiety, confusion and pain of Alzheimer's disease, Evelyn retained her perfect Christian spirit. She was humble, gentle, sweet and always caring. She continued to have a kind and welcoming smile for those around her. Until her last day, Evellyn was her life's work-she was a servant.

Clenna June Sproul
Born in Blackfoot, Idaho on Jun. 11, 1909

Clenna June Sproul, Age: 92, resident of Port Orchard, Washington, died on January 2, 2002.
Clenna had been born on June 11, 1909 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Walter and Martha(Taylor) Jackman. She graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1928. On June 11, 1935, Clenna married Kenneth Malcolm Sproul at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kenneth preceded her in death in 1987.
Clenna dedicated her life as a Return Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, and as a homemaker. She was a member of the National Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and a member of the LDS faith.
Glenna is survived by her son, Donald and his wife, Louise Sproul of Logan, Utah; son, Jerry, and his wife, Linda Sproul of Iona, Idaho; daughter, Marilyn, and husband, Darwin Anderson of Port Orchard; daughter, Janet, and husband, Robert Burnside of White Rock, New Mexico; daughter Reva, and husband, Keith Clark of Moreland, Idaho; daughter Leatha Neilson of Shelly, Idaho; daughter Susan, and husband, Robert Athay, of Meridian, Idaho; daughter Jackilyn Sproul of Spanish Fork, Utah; sister, LaRue Mathie of Kaysville, Utah; thirty nine grandchildren; sixty four great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gertrude Ann Pruden, in 1999.
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 5, 2002, at 1:00 p.m., at Thomas LDS Church in Thomas, Idaho. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service, at 1:00(also at the church). Interment icon is to be at Thomas-Riverside cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the LDS Church, 1550 Hoover S.E., Port Orchard, Washington, 98366.
Local arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home, in Port Orchard.

Margaret A. Olson
Born in Greene County, Tennessee on Feb. 20, 1937
Departed on Feb. 19, 2002 and resided in Olympia, WA.

Marge Olson, 64, of Olympia, WA, died February 19, 2002, in Little Rock, Arkansas at the Arkansas Cancer Research Center.
Marge was born February 20, 1937 in Greene County, Tennessee to Howard and Laura (Gass) Stroud. In her early years, she played basketball and worked as a nurse, bookbinder, and apartment manager.
On August 25, 1962, Marge married Dean Olson. They lived in Seattle, California, Canada, and Hong Kong before settling in Alaska to raise a family. Marge was an accomplished interior designer in Anchorage for many years. After moving to Washington State, she applied her talents to "fixer homes" that she and Dean bought and resold, as well as to other private homes and apartments. Marge also belonged to the Ladies of the Lake Quilting Club in Hoodsport, WA. She was an avid quilter who applied her artistic creativity to quilts by using bold colors and unique patterns. Marge enjoyed sharing her quilts with her family and friends. She was also dedicated to helping raise her grandchildren, and regularly volunteered at a local elementary school to tutor children in reading.
Survivors include her husband Dean of Olympia, WA; son Anthony Greene of Everett, WA; daughters Dena Olson of Olympia, WA and Toska Olson of Tacoma, WA; sisters Janice Moore of Seattle, WA and Frances Hager of Kingsport, TN; two grandsons, a nephew, and a grandniece.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Sunday, March 3, 2002, 2:00PM at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, WA. Memorial donations in Marge's name can be made to the Arkansas Cancer Research Center, 4301 West Markham #721, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 or to the literacy program of your choice.
