Patsy Kenoyer
Patsy Mae Kenoyer, 66, of Bremerton died April 17, 2000, at home.
She was born Dec. 13, 1933, to Clive and Lois Shelby in Tacoma. She was raised and educated in Tacoma and Puyallup, graduating from Puyallup High School in 1951.
She married Alan L. Kenoyer on Nov. 21, 1951, in Sumner.
Mrs. Kenoyer moved to Bremerton in 1955. She was a secretary for the Bremerton School District for 28 years, retiring in 1997.
She was a member of Bremerton First Christian Church, and was a past president of the Bremerton Secretary and Aides Association. She also was a Bremerton School District classified employee of the year and received a Golden Acorn Award from the PTA.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Shelby of Yacolt and Kerry of Bremerton; three daughters, Leslie Kenoyer, Casey Llewellyn and Kendal Griego, all of Bremerton; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. April 29 at Bremerton First Christian Church.
Memorial donations may be made to the Continuing College Fund of First Christian Church, 811 Veneta Ave., Bremerton, WA 98337.

Angel Shawver
Angel Shawver, son of Shaun and Pamela (Watson) Shawver of Belfair, died at birth on April 17, 2000, at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton.
Besides his parents, survivors include paternal grandparents Terry and Margaret Shawver of Hammond, Ind.; maternal grandparents, Ruth and Vincent A. Watson III of Belfair; paternal great-grandparents, Roye Robley of Tucson, Ariz., and Wayne and Mildred Shawver of Sherwood, Ore; and maternal great-grandparents, Carl Phillips of Port Orchard and Carol and Vincent A. Watson II of California.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. Arrangements are by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home in Port Orchard.

Veldyine Gonser
Veldyine M. (Junell) Gonser, 70, of Bremerton died April 19, 2000, at home following a brief illness.
She was born March 10, 1930, in the Poulsbo area to August and Mary (Alto) Junell, where she was raised. She graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1948.
She married Harold I. Gonser in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1996. Mrs. Gonser was a substitute rural mail carrier, waitress and cook.
Survivors include a son, Dale Damschen of San Diego; three daughters, Paula M. Ryder of New Jersey, and Laurie Johnson and Valerie Giles, both of Bremerton; and eight grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by five brothers.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Mrs. Gonser's Bremerton residence.

Roger West
Roger R. West, 49, of Poulsbo died April 16, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Sept. 9, 1950, in Robbinsdale, Minn., to Del West and Larry Hughes. He graduated from West High in Bremerton in 1969.
He married Jackie West on July 24, 1992, in Reno, Nev.
He served in the Army from August 1969 to February 1972. He later was a highway maintenance worker for the Washington State Department of Transportation for 17 years.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, of Minnesota; and two brothers, Robert and Dwight, both of Minnesota.
Mr. West will be buried at Fort Snelling in Minnesota. At his request, a wake will be from noon until closing at Four Corners Tavern in Poulsbo. Arrangements are by Tuell-McKee Funeral & Cremation Services of Bremerton.

Brandon Greenwood
Brandon Charles Greenwood, 15, of Port Townsend died April 15, 2000, of injuries from a dirt bike accident in Port Ludlow.
He was born Oct. 13, 1984, to David and Barbara (Giordana) Greenwood. He was a freshman at Chimacum High School.
He was active in basketball, soccer, swimming, golf and surfing. Brandon was a member of the basketball team, played little league baseball, was on the Eagles soccer team as well as the Olympic Youth Basketball League. He also loved to ride his motorcycle.
Survivors include his mother of Irondale; two sisters, Angie Greenwood of Irondale and Rachael Balthazor of Everett; his father, David Greenwood of Port Townsend; and grandparents, George and Mary Giordano of Seattle and Darrell and Betty Greenwood of Port Townsend.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Friday at the Port Ludlow Beach Club.
Memorial donations may be made to the Brandon Greenwood Memorial Fund, Chimacum High School, P.O. Box 460, Chimacum, WA 98325.

Ilmi Peterson
Poulsbo resident Ilmi Peterson, 84, died April 16, 2000, at Martha & Mary Health Care Center in Poulsbo.
She was born Jan. 11, 1916, in Finland to Walter and Linda Aaltonen Nieml. She was raised on Bainbridge Island, graduating from Bainbridge High School.
She married Robert Peterson on June 16, 1939. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Peterson was a nurse's aid at Martha & Mary Health Care Center for 20 years, retiring in 1983.
She was a member of Day Star Church in Poulsbo.
Survivors include a son, Ray of Bainbridge Island; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
At her request, no services are planned. Arrangements are by Kass Funeral Home on Bainbridge Island.

Maryann Hull
Maryann Hull, 77, of Silverdale died April 14, 2000, in Silverdale.
She was born Oct. 7, 1922, in Seattle to Burrell and Dorothy (Winslow) German. She was raised in Seattle and attended the University of Washington.
She married Gordon Hull, who preceded her in death in 1991. Mrs. Hull was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Elness of St. Paul, Minn., and Laurie Preston of Dallas; and three grandchildren.
Private family services were held. Arrangements are by Kass Funeral Home on Bainbridge Island.
Memorial donations may be made to the Bainbridge Island Library, 1270 Madison Ave., Bainbridge Island, WA 98110.

Curtis Russell
Donald "Curtis" Russell, 39, of Kingsland, Ga., died March 31, 2000, at Camden Medical Center in St. Mary's, Ga.
He was born in Glendale, Calif., to Ronald and Barbara Russell. He graduated from Penisula High School in Gig Harbor in 1979.
Mr. Russell formerly worked at Bangor and in Bremerton. He was a supply clerk at Trident Refit Facility at Naval Submarine Base in King's Bay, Ga.. He was a charter member of New Testament Baptist Church in Kingsland and a member of Little People of America.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian S. Russell of Kingsland; a stepson, George M. Mahieu Jr. of Kingsland; his parents, Ronald "Jack" and Barbara Russell of Washington; two brothers, Bill and Herb Russell, both of Washington; and his grandmother, of Washington.
Memorial donations be made to New Testament Baptist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 1605, Kingsland, GA 31548. Arrangements are by Edo Miller-Dekle-Wainwright Funeral Home of Kingsland.

Harold Matkins
Harold K. Matkins, 74, of Belfair died April 13, 2000, at Bremerton Convalescent Center.
He was born June 13, 1925, to Raymond S. and Jessie Matkins in Chehalis. He spent most of his childhood in the North Mason and Hood Canal area.
He married Peggy Marie Armstrong on June 13, 1964, in Lewiston, Idaho.
He was awarded several medals while serving in the Navy, including the Purple Heart during World War II.
He worked in the forest products industry and retired from heavy construction after several years on the Alaska Pipeline.
Mr. Matkins was a past post quartermaster, past post commander and a lifetime member of the VFW. He also was a member of the American Legion, Eagles, Moose and Jaycees. He enjoyed gardening, gathering seafood from Hood Canal and wintering in Yuma, Ariz.
He is survived by his wife of Belfair; two sons, Larry of Belfair and Richard of Leavenworth; a daughter, Sue Hecla of Gold Bar; two brothers, Howard of Coulee Dam and Clifford of Port Hadlock; a sister, Louise Cauffman of Coulee Dam; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. April 29 at the family plot in Sultan. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the home of Robyn Seng in Sultan.

Arthur Tingley
Arthur Green Tingley, 96, of Shelton died of natural causes April 13, 2000, at Sunbridge Care.
He was born Dec. 14, 1903, in Attleboro, Mass., to John Obed and Annie Joy (Elderfield) Tingley, where he was raised and graduated from Attleboro High School in 1921.
He married Bessie Mary Thomson on Sept. 10, 1923, in Attleboro. He worked at Bay State Optical Co. in Attleboro from 1921 to 1959. He later worked for the Highline School District, retiring in 1968.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Arthur of Federal Way; four daughters, Dorothy Bozzo of Des Moines, Claire Bailey of Shelton, Kay Sargent of Winlock and Beverly Young of Grapeview; a brother, Harold Tingley of Plant City, Fla.; a sister, Miriam Tingley of Attleboro; 25 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. April 30 at Lake Limerick Club House in Shelton. Arrangements are by Miller Woodland Funeral Home and Memorial Park.

Steven Moore
Steven Danial Moore, 46, of Bremerton died April 15, 2000, at University of Washington Hospital in Seattle.
He was born Feb. 15, 1954, in Racine, Wisc., and attended East Bremerton High School. He previously was a locksmith for Pan Am contractors.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Edward Reyers of Bremerton; his former stepfather, Oscar Silvers; a son, Bryon; four daughters, Julia, Heather, Elsa and Mary Moore; six brothers, Kenneth and Keith Silvers and Richard, Randall, Leonard and Billy Moore; and five sisters, Deborah, Tammy, Karen, Lisa and Mary Moore. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Moore, in 1998.
Visitation and a graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Twin Firs cemetery in Belfair, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at Crosby Church on Seabeck Highway.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 557 Roy St., lower level, Seattle, WA 98109.

John Huber
John Winslow Huber, 57, of Bremerton died April 9, 2000, in Bremerton.
He was born Dec. 20, 1942, in La Crosse, Kan., to Kenneth and Mary (Parker) Huber. He was raised in La Crosse and moved to Seattle in 1955.
Mr. Huber served in the Navy in the 1960s, and afterward worked for Olympic Stain and as an automobile mechanic in the Seattle area.
He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and was active in drag-racing in the 1960s and 1970s.
Survivors include a son, John Winslow Huber II of Bremerton; five brothers, Kenneth Jr. of Florida, Terrance and Mark, both of South Carolina, Ronald of Bremerton and Alan Huber of Monroe; and three sisters, Patricia Filyaw of South Carolina, Nancy Scribner of Wisconsin and Linda Dawson of Tacoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, Robert and Keith Huber.
A graveside service was held at Poulsbo City cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of Ronald Huber, 704 Eighth St., Bremerton, WA 98337.
