Ralph Landis
Ralph G. Landis, 78, of Port Orchard, died April 12, 2000, at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton.
He was born June 21, 1921, in Pasadena, Calif., to Arthur N. and Erma (Crittenden) Landis. He was raised in Long Beach, Calif., graduating from John Dewey High School in 1939.
On May 30, 1941, he married
the former Evelyn P. Jones in Long Beach.
Mr. Landis served from 1942 to 1945 in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He advanced to the rank of sergeant, specializing as an aircraft mechanic while stationed in Great Britain.
Later he was a mechanic for the city of Long Beach. He retired in 1977 after 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, of Port Orchard; two sons, Allan of Tampa, Fla., and Mark of Capistrano Beach, Calif.; two daughters, Linda Fox of Port Orchard and Carol Garcia of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; and six grandchildren, Brian, Brent and Michelle Fox and Christina, Joshua and Jacob Landis.
No services are planned. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.
Wendy Hutchinson
Wendy Lyn Hutchinson, 28, of Silverdale, died April 10, 2000, in Silverdale.
She was born June 30, 1971, in Bremerton to Dennis and Linda (McCaughan) Hutchinson. She was raised in Silverdale, graduating from Central Kitsap High School in 1989.
She worked at Costco for 10 years.
Survivors include her parents, of Silverdale; a brother, Shawn of Seattle; and a grandmother, Earldine "Jerry" McCaughan of Bremerton.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Peninsula Bible Fellowship. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Edward Meyers
Edward James Meyers, 95, of Bremerton, died April 7, 2000, in Bremerton.
He was born Dec. 12, 1904, in Lake Stevens to James Meyers and Annie Nilson Meyers. He graduated from high school in Lake Stevens in 1925 and from Washington State University in Pullman in 1928.
He married
Ruth Lundberg on May 18, 1929. She preceded him in death in 1982.
Mr. Meyers was a dairy farmer for 20 years, and also worked as a real estate agent for Werner Real Estate.
He was a 20-year member of the Lake City Lions, and was a charter member of that club.
Survivors include a daughter, Margery Scholfield of Tracyton; a brother, Julis Meyers of Bremerton; two grandchildren, Edward Scholfield of Silverdale and Leslie Varner of Bainbridge Island; and three great-grandchildren.
Inurnment was at Evergreen cemetery in Everett. Memorials may be made to Children's Hospital, 4800 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105.
Fred Wing Sr.
Fred E. Wing Sr., 84, a lifelong Tracyton resident and a member of one of that community's pioneering families, died April 13, 2000, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 16, 1916, in Tracyton to Frank E. Wing and Clara (Riddell) Wing. He was raised in Tracyton and graduated from Silverdale High School in 1934.
Mr. Wing was a progressman at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, working for 30 years before retirement in 1970.
He married
Leona Radovich on Dec. 4, 1935, in Port Orchard. She preceded him in death in 1993.
Mr. Wing was a charter member of the Tracyton Volunteer Fire Department, where he served for 30 years. He also served as a commissioner of the Tracyton Water District and Tracyton Port Commission and president of the Tracyton cemetery Association. He was a 35-year-member of Eagles, a member of Tracyton United Methodist Church and was active in numerous baseball programs.
Survivors include two sons, Fred Wing Jr. of Kent and Gary Wing of Everett; two daughters, Joan Simmons and Diane Deardorff, both of Tracyton; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Robertson and Shannon King, both of Kent, Alan Wing of Stanwood, Jeff Wing of Everett, Don Simmons Jr. of Tracyton, Stacy Wright of Bremerton, and Michael and Angela Deardorff of Tracyton; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Jesse Wing of Tracyton; and a sister, Margaret Kanthack of Bremerton.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Brem-erton. A memorial service will be held at noon Tuesday at Tracyton United Metho-dist Church, followed by a luncheon. Private burial will be at Tracyton cemetery.

Iris Wilson
Iris Lorreece Wilson, 66, of Bremerton, died April 12, 2000, at her home.
She was born Feb. 20, 1934, in Darby, Mont., to Abe and Sue (Roberts) Williams. She was raised and educated in Darby, graduating from high school there in 1953.
A longtime resident of Seattle, she worked for The Boeing Co. as a secretary. She moved to Kitsap County four years ago.
Survivors include two sons, Greg Wilson of Bellevue and Tim Hill of Stevensville, Mont.; a daughter, Christine Tabor of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Orvid Williams of Hamilton, Mont.; and seven grandchildren, Charles Posinoff, Christopher Wilson, Leah Plasmier, Brenda and Crystal Hill and Anthony and Alexander Tabor.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Salvation Army, 832 Sixth St., Bremerton. Cremation will be at Cherry Grove Memorial Park. Arrange-ments are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Dorothy Love
Dorothy Rose Love, 68, of Poulsbo, died April 13, 2000, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 4, 1931, in Keasby, N.J., to John and Lilian (Barton) Gosack. She was raised and graduated from high school in New Jersey. She married
B.R. Love on Aug. 19, 1951, in Fords, N.J.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Gosack Jr. Survivors include a son, Jesse W. Love of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Kathleen Vendetti of Pagagonia, Ariz.; two sisters, Shirley Carr and Elizabeth Havilla, both of New Jersey; and five grandchildren, Tairel Love of France, Krystelle and Angele Love of Tampa, Fla., Cassandra Vendetti of Patagonia, Ariz., and Lyndi Love of Montana.
Private burial will be at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent.
Ann Schonians
Ann May Schonians, 92, of Bremerton, died April 10, 2000, at Bremerton Convalescent Center.
She was born July 20, 1907, in Antigo, Wis., to James and Anna (Rainish) Krejci. She married
George Schonians on Dec. 14, 1929, in Billings, Mont. He preceded her in death in 1981.
Mrs. Schonians spent most of her life in Roundup, Mont., where she lived and worked on a dairy farm. She and her husband came to Kitsap County in 1929, and she was employed in the laundry department at Martha and Mary Nursing Home in Poulsbo.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing darts.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lou Weber of Bremerton and Mildina Lacey of Great Falls, Mont.; a sister, Mary Whiting of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Joe Wistor of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren, Richard and Russell Weber, Sandy Coutts, Pamm Garrett, Julie Slate, and Karl and Kathleen Lacey; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Bremerton, with cremation held at Cherry Grove Memorial Park. Inurnment will be at Roundup, Mont.

Katy McDonald
Katherine "Katy" Verna McDonald, 70, of Bremerton died April 12, 2000, at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton.
She was born July 30, 1929, in Palestine, Ill., to William and Ina (McKee) Malcolm. She was raised in Zanesville, Ohio, and graduated from high school.
She married
Larry G. McDonald on Dec 7, 1967, in Bellevue. Mrs. McDonald worked at a hearing-aid firm for 15 years, retiring in 1987. After retirement, she managed apartments in Bremerton with her husband.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Suzi McDonald of Seabeck; two grandchildren, Larry Hester of Bellingham and Donnella McDonald of Seabeck; and two great-grandchildren.

Pauline Groll
Pauline Groll, 96, of Port Orchard died April 11, 2000, in Port Orchard.
She was born March 16, 1904, in Athens, Ohio, and was raised in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
Her husband, Harry Groll, died in 1946. Survivors include two sons, Henry and Verne of Tacoma; a stepson, Roy Wilson of Ohio; a sister, Marie Martin of Ohio; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Myrtle Johnson
Myrtle C. Johnson, 88, of Bremerton died April 11, 2000, at Forest Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center of natural causes.
She was born Jan. 15, 1912, in Platte, S.D. She grew up in Bonesteil, S.D., graduating from high school there in 1927.
She married
Jimmie D. Johnson on Aug. 16, 1947, in Bremerton. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband and one sister, Margaret Morrison of Susanville, Calif. She was preceded in death by an infant son in 1948.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Cody Johnson
Cody M. Johnson, 83, of Port Orchard died April 10, 2000, at Bremerton Health and Rehabilitation Center. She had been a resident of Port Orchard since 1952.
She was born March 22, 1917, in Hillsdale, Wis., to George and Louella (Edwards) Whitman. She grew up in Hillsdale, graduating from high school in Minong, Wis., in 1935.
She married
Gustof E. "Gus" Johnson on Sept. 21, 1937, in Rice Lake, Wis. He preceded her in death in January.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker. She had been employed as a secretary with Spaeth Transfer and with Puget Sound Laundry, both in Bremerton.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Belfair and a bowling league in Bremerton.
Survivors include one son, Jon Johnson of Bremerton; three grandchildren, Dawn Piety and Kim and Darren Johnson; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Whitman.
Arrangements are by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
Ede Rose
Ede Rose, 66, of Bremerton died April 11, 2000, in Bremerton from complications of an illness.
She was born Jan. 10, 1934, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Pascul and Carmen (Giraldi) Pezzullo. She grew up in Buenos Aires, graduating from high school there.
She married
Thomas C. Rose on July 13, 1966, in Anaheim, Calif.
Mrs. Rose was primarily a homemaker. She had worked at Lupita's Restaurant and at Campana's Italian Restaurant.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Thomas Rose Jr. of Bremerton and Daniel Golceker of Las Vegas; one daughter, Landa Fuchs of Poulsbo; one sister, Elsa Pezzullo of Buenos Aires; one brother, Osvaldo Pezzullo of Downey, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Alex Fuchs of Poulsbo and Taylor and Morgan Golceker, both of Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Golceker, in 1994; by a sister, Tita Pezzullo; and by four brothers, Zulema, Domingo, Nieves and Amadeo Pezzullo.
