Colleen Delude
Colleen F. Delude, 73, of Port Orchard died March 23, 2000, at Port Orchard Care Center.
She was born Jan. 27, 1927, in Compton, Calif., to Delvechelo and Delia Delude.
She worked as a nurses' aide, retiring in the early 1970s.
Survivors include two sons; two daughters; and three sisters, June, Mildred and Maebelle Delude.
No services are planned. Interment
will take place in Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Alvin Olson
Alvin Warren Olson, 92, of Port Orchard died March 21, 2000, at Ridgemont Terrace.
He was born Dec. 31, 1907, in Donnybrook, N.D., to James and Martha (Larson) Olson. He grew up in Donnybrook, graduating from Donnybrook High School in 1925. He received an associate degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, N. D., in 1931.
He married
Sadie Larson on Feb. 8, 1935, in Lisbon, N.D.
Mr. Olson worked as manager of the Montana branch of Sheffels Farms Inc. in Great Falls, Mont., retiring in 1969.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Karen Robertson of Port Orchard; one brother, Clifford Olson of Glenburn, N.D.; one sister, Lucille Houser of Great Falls; four grandchildren, Scott Robertson, Diane Williams and Kimberley Olds, all of Port Orchard, and Bruce Robertson of Olalla; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Monday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel, with a reception following.

Jim Rice Jr.
James B. "Jim" Rice Jr., 84, of Poulsbo died March 20, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Jan. 26, 1916, in Bremerton to James and Matilda (Lemke) Rice Sr. He was raised in the Lofall area and attended North Kitsap schools.
He married
Doris M. Snyder on July 25, 1942, in Santa Monica, Calif. She preceded him in death in 1997.
Mr. Rice served in the Army during World War II. He later retired from the Army National Guard as a first sergeant in 1976.
Mr. Rice worked for Pope and Talbot's Port Gamble mill for 42 years, retiring in 1979.
Survivors include one son, Richard of Port Ludlow; two daughters, Susan Lunde and Shirley Rice, both of Poulsbo; four brothers, Frank of Poulsbo, Edward and Robert, both of Seattle, and Calvin of Port Gamble; six grandchildren, Raymond Lunde of Illinois, Jason and Greg Rice, both of Port Orchard, and Brian Lunde, Kristin Kinsley and Justin Rice, all of Poulsbo; and four great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends is planned for 1 to 5 p.m. April 1 at the home of Richard and Andrea Rice in Port Ludlow. For directions, call Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel at (360) 779-4474. Private, family inurnment will take place at Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo.

Burnice David
Burnice Leota David, 88, of Bremerton died March 22, 2000, in Bremerton.
She was born April 15, 1911, in Straw, Mont., to Charles E. and Martha C. (Moran) Wright. She grew up in Moore, Mont., graduating from Moore High School in 1929.
She married
Myron M. David in 1929 in Moore. He preceded her in death in 1971.
Mrs. David was a homemaker. She had operated David's Ceramics at her home for five years and had also worked in the sheet metal shop at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from 1951 to 1954.
Survivors include three sons, Keith of Bremerton, Dale of Poulsbo and Gerald of Silverdale; one sister, Mary Nelson of Bremerton; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dennis.
A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. Monday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. Interment
will take place at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Robert Peterson
Robert Gerald Peterson, 55, of Belfair died March 16, 2000, in Bremerton.
He was born Dec. 13, 1944, in Green Bay, Wis. He was educated in Green Bay.
He married
Keith Shirey on Aug. 21, 1999, in Bremerton.
Mr. Peterson served in the Navy more than 20 years, participating in two tours of duty in Vietnam and retiring as a senior chief boatswain's mate. His military honors included: the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, five Good Conduct Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals, two Navy Commendation Medals and a Surface Warfare Specialist Medal.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 239.
He is survived by his wife.
Military honors and interment are planned for 1 p.m. Thursday at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent.
Luella O'Neill
Luella Ruth O'Neill, 97, of Bremerton died March 24, 2000, in Bremerton.
She was born May 21, 1902, in Tulare, S.D., to Otis and Elizabeth (Lewis) Pierce. She was educated in South Dakota.
She married
William F. O'Neill on May 18, 1922, in Ispwich, S.D. He preceded her in death in 1999.
She was a homemaker. She had served as secretary-treasurer for the PTA and had volunteered with the Red Cross during World War II. She was a member of the Home Extension Club and was commander of the Navy Mother's Club while her son served in the Navy.
Survivors include one son, Robert of Bremerton; one daughter, Phyllis Aldrich; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday, also at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Justin Buchanan
Justin Paul Buchanan, 6, of Bremerton died March 19, 2000, at Children's Hospital in Seattle.
He was born Nov. 11, 1993, at St. Mary's Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas, to Sara Buchanan.
Survivors include his mother, now of Bremerton; one sister, Ashlynn Grant of Bremerton; and his grandparents, Cindy and Junior Boudreaux and John and Kathy Buchanan, all of Port Arthur.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service. Interment
will take place at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Hazel Wuethrick
Former Bremerton resident Hazel E. Wuethrick, 86, of Portland, Ore., died March 15, 2000, in Portland of natural causes.
She was born March 17, 1913, in Sheboygan, Wis., to William and Alice (Zimmerman) Weber.
She married
Walter Wuethrick on June 26, 1931. He preceded her in death in 1970.
Mrs. Wuethrick was a homemaker. She moved to Bremerton in 1945 and to McMinnville, Ore., in 1991. She had lived in Portland since 1999.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in McMinnville, Ore. She had been active in PTA, Girl Scouting and the Democratic party.
Survivors include four daughters, Marilyn Brayman of San Diego, Mae McConnell of Bremerton, Margaret Hunt of McMinnville and Marion Scariano of Portland; one sister, Lorraine Kohlhagan of Sheboygan Falls, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service was held Thursday at Forest Lawn cemetery in Bremerton.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
Shirley Baker
Shirley Ann Baker, 61, of Port Orchard died March 21, 2000, in Bremerton.
She was born April 8, 1938, in Marietta, Ohio, to William and Lillian (Britton) Barnes. She grew up in Marietta, Ohio, attending Marietta High School.
She married
Donald Edward Baker in Marietta. He preceded her in death in 1992.
Mrs. Baker was a member and past president of the Port Orchard Eagles 2338 Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Randy of Port Orchard and Mitchell of Cumberland, Md.; two daughters, Melissa Luna of New Mexico and Dianna Tate of Port Orchard; two brothers, Robert Barnes of Arizona and Ted Barnes of Ohio; one sister, Irene Whaley of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren, Stephanie Buhrman of Oregon, Mandy Rosenberg of Virginia, Anthony Tate of Tennessee, Sarah (Luna) Mahaffey of the Army, Randy Baker Jr., Jason Tate and Teri Baker, all of Washington, Christa Luna and Amy Venezia, both of New Mexico, and Jake and Johnney Baker, both of Maryland; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Barnes.
A memorial luncheon is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Port Orchard Eagles 2338. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Keith Williams
Robert Keith Williams, 68, of Silverdale died March 22, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Sept. 18, 1931, in Hayden, Idaho, to George and Stella (Jones) Williams. He grew up in Van Nuys, Calif., graduating from Van Nuys High School in 1949.
He married
Armita Lazzari on June 23, 1951 in Van Nuys.
Mr. Williams owned and operated R.K. Williams Construction for 40 years, retiring in 1992. He had been a sub-contractor for Lumberman Homes for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Pat of Silverdale; two daughters, Linda Damschen and Tina Gooding, both of Silverdale; one brother, Gene of Reseda, Calif.; five grandchildren, Shannon Herdman of Seabeck, Amy Herdman of Bremerton and Adrian Williams and Brent and Brittany Gooding, all of Silverdale; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert, in 1972.
At his request, there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Mary Verlane (Bottem) Christianson, 52, of Seattle died March 21, 2000.
She was born March 18, 1948, in Bremerton, to Melvin and Mary (O'Flynn) Bottem. She grew up in Seattle, attending Sealth High School there.

Marlyn "Mike" Christianson on Jan. 21, 1966, in Seattle.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Michael of Everett; one daughter, Dawn of Seattle; and one brother, Terry Bottem of Seattle.
