James Minder
James F. Minder, 67, of Bremerton died Feb. 8, 2000, at his home.
He was born July 22, 1932, in Bozeman, Mont., to Alfred and Mary (Lane) Minder. He grew up in Bozeman, moving to Bremerton in 1956.
He married
Carolyn D. Williams on July 24, 1951, in Bozeman.
Mr. Minder was a meat cutter for many years, working at Tradewell, TB&M, IGA and Minder Meats on Cambrian Avenue in Bremerton.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Alfred of Denver, James of Port Orchard, Michael of Bremerton, Patrick of Mesquite, Nev. and George of Poulsbo; two daughters, Carrie McLaughlin of Kingston and Susan Camacho of Kent; two brothers, John of Great Falls, Mont., and Joseph of Lewistown, Mont.; three sisters, Dorothy Sheppard of Kent, Alma Johnson of Helena, Mont., and Beulah Barta of Belgrade, Mont. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
A service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Olaf's Catholic Church in Poulsbo, with a reception following. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel.

Vicki Vaa
Vicki Vaa, 88, of Bremerton died Feb. 4, 2000, at her home. She had lived in the Bremerton area since the early 1970s.
She was born Sept. 20, 1911, in Wellington, New South Wales, Australia, to McIntyre and Emily Patterson. She was raised and educated in Australia.
She married
George Vaa. He preceded her in death in 1963.
She was a nurse in Australia, and she was a homemaker in the United States. She and her husband had a ranch on Hood Canal.
She was an active member of PAWS.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Anna McNulty of Randwick, Australia, and Shane McNulty of Balmain, Australia.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Randolph Lake
Randolph B. Lake, 88, of Shelton, died Feb. 5, 2000, in Olympia.
He was born April 6, 1911, in Plato Center, Ill. He was a high school graduate and had attended college for one year.
Mr. Lake served in the Marine Corps from 1933 to 1937.
He married
Bessie Jane Webb on Sept. 2, 1938, in Bremerton. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Lake worked as an electrician at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 27 years.
Survivors include one son, John of Springfield, Ore.; one daughter, Norma Ingram of Shelton; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled for 8 to 10 a.m. today at McComb Funeral Home in Shelton. A funeral service is planned for 1 p.m. today at Hope Chapel, 421 West "E" St.
Juanita Moore
Juanita Gloria Moore, 89, of Bremerton died Feb. 6, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Aug. 29, 1910, in Bremerton to Bernard and Luzelle (Braman) Carleson. She was raised in Bremerton, graduating from Bremerton High School in 1936.
She married
David W. Moore on June 18, 1937, in Bremerton. They had been married
52 years when he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Moore was a homemaker. She was a board member for the Bremerton Parks Department.
She also had been member of the PTA, state PTA, Bremerton Garden Club, Kitsap County Dahlia Society and Kitsap County Art Guild. She served as director of the Cross Sound District of Garden Clubs and as creative director of the Bicentennial Bells. She had also been active with Boy and Girl Scouts, Pee Wee's and the Senior Singers.
Survivors include three sons, James of Renton, Richard of Bremerton and Robert of Santa Monica, Calif.; four daughters, Phyllis Johnson of Bremerton, Sheila Woods and Sharon Call, both of Port Orchard and Pam Bedwell of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one sister, Fern Lawrence of Gig Harbor; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service is at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lewis Funeral Chapel, with interment following at Forest Lawn cemetery.

Tomas L.G. Flores
Tomas L.G. Flores, 74, of Port Orchard died Feb. 3, 2000, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation of Oyster Bay.
He was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Agana, Guam, to Manuel and Maria (Leon Guerrero) Flores and grew up in Guam.
He married
Remedios Santos on Feb. 5, 1949, in Guam.
Mr. Flores worked as highway repair superintendent with the Department of Public Works in Guam for 20 years. He retired in 1976.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Tomas Jr. of Guam; five daughters, Bobbie Jastillana of Lompoc, Calif., Pauline Borja of Port Orchard, and Gloria Guerrero, Bertha Acosta and Patsy Cepeda, all of Guam; one brother, Manuel of San Diego; one sister, Beatrice Flores Blas of Guam; 29 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Palomo, a daughter, Doris Flores Yatar, two brothers, Jesus and Ignacio, and two grandchildren, Frankie Acosta and Norbert Yatar.
Visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with a Rosary at 7 p.m., all at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard, with interment following at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.
Verna Inglebritson
Verna S. Inglebritson, 75, of Silverdale died Feb. 6, 2000, at her home.
She was born Jan. 11, 1925, in East Flat Rock, N.C., to Hose and Gertie Hoots. She grew up in Winston-Salem, N.C., attending Richard J. Reynolds High School.
She married
Roy Inglebritson on Oct. 7, 1950, in Seattle. He preceded her in death in 1991.
Mrs. Inglebritson was a Keyport Bible Church member for 13 years. She donated time to charitable work, making blankets and toys for children.
Survivors include one son, Scott of Shoreline; three daughters, Jean Holterman of Bellingham, Terry Williams of Bainbridge Island and Linda Kerkes of Poulsbo; one sister, Betty Beymer of Mercer Island; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Estelle, and three brothers, Keith, Charles and her twin, Vernon.
A memorial service is at 3 p.m. Thursday at Keyport Bible Church, 15270 Washington Ave. NE. A private family interment service be at Mountain View cemetery in Silverdale. Arrangements are by Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel.

Helene McGee
Helene Alma McGee, 89, of Poulsbo died Feb. 4, 2000, in Poulsbo.
She was born Feb. 28, 1910, in Mount Vernon to Anton and Anna (Neiger) Betschart. She grew up in Sedro Woolley. She attended Western Washington State University for two years.
She married
William McGee in Mount Vernon in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1981.
Mrs. McGee worked for several accounting firms in Poulsbo, retiring in 1960.
She had been active in the North Kitsap PTA, the Order of the Eastern Star and Job's Daughters, and in various churches. More recently, she participated in the North Kitsap Senior Center.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane Parker of Poulsbo; three grandchildren, Heather Hutsell and Robin Paulus, both of Poulsbo, and Scott Simons of Seattle; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Martha & Mary Health Care Chapel, 19160 Front St. NE in Poulsbo. Arrangements are by Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel.

Veola Bonds
Veola Bonds, 93, of Bremerton died Feb. 7, 2000, in Bremerton.
She was born May 8, 1906, in Brenham, Texas. She grew up in Texas.
She married
Arthur Bonds on March 15, 1942, in Austin, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1997.
Mrs. Bonds was a member of Ebenezer AME Church in Bremerton.
Survivors include one son, Eric of Gig Harbor; one daughter, Eileen Coleman of Port Orchard; one sister, Martha Tripplette of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren, Grace and Frankie Coleman of Port Orchard.
Visitation is scheduled for 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel on the Hill, with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment
will follow the service at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Eugene White
Eugene Elmer "Gene" White, 72, of Bremerton died Feb. 6, 2000, at his home of cancer.
He was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Lewiston, Idaho, to Floyd and Susie (Clapper) White. He moved to Bremerton with his family in 1941, attending school in the Bremerton area.
He married
Ruby L. Wilsdon on Nov. 1, 1952, in New Westminster, B.C.
Mr. White worked in the sheet metal shop at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1985 after 35 years.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Susan Place of Bremerton; two sons, Gary of Salem, Ore., and Steven of Keizer, Ore.; two sisters, Maxine Collins of Carlsbad, Calif., and Virginia Hartzel of Ridgecrest, Calif.; one brother, Marvin of La Grange, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, Chris Davis, Kawika, Kapua, Kanoe, Konohiki and Kahaikala Place, all of Washington, and Blake White, Jenny Mickey, and Tammy and Shannon Hurst, all of Oregon; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur White, and a sister, Della Royland.
A memorial service is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel on the Hill.

Hildegarde Otto
Hildegarde Adelle Otto, 81, of Bremerton died Feb. 7, 2000, in Bremerton of complications from a stroke.
She was born May 23, 1918, in Radium, Minn., to Franklin C. and Louise W.F. (Volkman) Knoll. She grew up in Radium, graduating from Warren High School in Warren, Minn. in 1936, and from normal training also in Warren in 1937.
She married
Reinhold J. Otto on April 22, 1944, at Memorial Lutheran Church in Bremerton.
She taught school in Marshall County, Minn., from 1936-41; worked as a clerk/typist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from 1942 to 1947; was a homemaker from 1947 to 1966; and worked as an administrative assistant at Olympic College from 1966 to 1974.
She had been a PTA committee member, a Cub Scout den mother, a Bluebird leader and secretary/treasurer of the West High Music Auxiliary. She was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Bremerton, serving with the Altar Guild and the Priscilla Guild.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Larry of Belfair and Gail of Gig Harbor; two daughters, Kay Pauley of Bainbridge Island and Peggy Swistak of Bellevue; and six grandchildren, Jeff of Federal Way, Kellie of Phoenix, Ryan and Scott, both of Belfair; and Colin and Briana Pauley of Bainbridge Island. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold, by five sisters, Eleanora, Irma, Frieda, Edith and Martha, and by an infant grandchild, Jodi Otto.
A private graveside service will be at Forest Lawn cemetery in Bremerton on Saturday, with a memorial service following at 1 p.m. at Memorial Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Helen Juneau
Helen Margaret Juneau, 87, died Feb. 7, 2000, at Bremerton Convalescent Center of natural causes.
She was born Dec. 11, 1912, in Bremerton to William and Eva Sayles. She grew up in Bremerton, graduating from Union High School in 1929, and from Seattle Business College.
She was married
to William S. Juneau on Nov. 20, 1935 in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1985.
She worked in the Industrial Relations Department at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, and for the Bremerton School District.
She was active in Girl Scouts as troop leader with Bremerton Troop No. 1. She was a 50-year member and past worthy matron of Reliance Chapter 70, Order of the Eastern Star, a past president of the Eastern Star Social Club, and a past president of the Estrellita Club, O.E.S. She was a member of St Paul's Episcopal Church in Bremerton for 60 years, serving for many years on the Altar Guild.
She is survived by a son, William of Seabeck; and a grandson, Justin Juneau of the Marine Corps.
