Edna Lachata
Edna Anne Lachata, 88, of Silverdale died Oct. 17, 1998, in Silverdale.
She was born March 6, 1910, in Chicago to August and Katherine (Schmidt) Roenna.
Mrs. Lachata was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Don of Silverdale; one brother, Robert Roenna of Medina, Ill.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin, in 1980, and her daughter, Loraine Bartus in 1994.
There will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Roy Allison
Roy E. Allison, 83, of Poulsbo died Oct. 15, 1998, at Northwoods Lodge.
He was born Nov. 1, 1914, in Spokane and graduated from West Seattle High School.
On Nov. 21, 1937, he married
Margaret Larkin.
Mr. Allison worked for Pacific Northwest Bell for 31 years, retiring in 1976.
He was master of Masonic Lodge No. 152 in 1965.
He is survived by his wife and one son, Tom, of Florida. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard McAteer.
At his request, there will be no services.

Lillian Nelson
Lillian M. Nelson, 75, of Bremerton died Oct. 15, 1998, at Martha and Mary Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 11, 1922, in Frenchtown, Mont., to Henry and Antoinette (Kack) Hartman. She was raised in Frenchtown, Mont., graduating from Frenchtown High School. She later graduated from Eastern Montana College of Education in 1943.
On July 18, 1951, she married
Kenneth A. Nelson in Great Falls, Mont. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Mrs. Nelson was an elementary school teacher in Belt, Stocket and San Cooley, Mont. She moved to Washington State and became a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Theresa's Guild of Holy Trinity Parish and the Ladies of Elks.
Survivors include a daughter, Antoinette Bricco of Lakeside, Calif.; and a brother, Charlie Hartman of Great Falls, Mont.
Visitation will be from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 21 with Mass immediately following, both at Holy Trinity Church. Inurnment will be at Arlington National cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Church or the American Heart Association.
Enid Rath
Enid Lorraine Rath, 73, died Oct. 14, 1998, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 22, 1925, in Stevenson to Hugh C. and Elma (Harper) Cosner. She was raised in Port Orchard, graduating from Bremerton High School in 1943.
Mrs. Rath served in the Navy from 1944 to 1945, spending time at naval commands in Oakland, Calif. She worked as the executive secretary for the Local 587 of Metro Transit for 21 years. Later, she worked for five years at Albertsons, retiring in 1996.
She was a member of American Legion.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce E. Daily of Seabeck and Douglas C. Daily of Bremerton; one brother, Hugh E. Cosner of Union; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 24, at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Charlene Dotson
Charlene Ann Dotson, 56, of Bremerton died of cancer Oct. 19, 1998, at home.
She was born Nov. 15, 1941, in McMinnville, Ore., to Charles and Elizabeth Silhary. She was raised in Bremerton, graduating from Bremerton High School in 1960.
In 1978, she married
Jerry Dotson in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Mrs. Dotson worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 19 years, retiring in 1998.
She was a member of the American Rhododendron Society, North Kitsap Chapter and Ducks Unlimited.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jeff of Sumner and Darrin of Port Ludlow; three daughters, Cherie Humphreys, Catherine Armstrong, and Charlotte Robards, all of Reno, Nev.; three sisters, Janice Tonge of Seabeck, Cherie Ballew of Leavenworth, and Kathleen Shumaker of Belfair; and three grandchildren, Steven Humphreys and Elizabeth Armstrong, both of Reno, Nev., and Lane Dotson of Port Ludlow.
Private family services will be held in Seabeck. The public may visit the gravesite after 10 a.m. today. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Charlotte Holcomb
Charlotte Maria Holcomb, 89, of Seattle died Oct. 16, 1998, at Martha and Mary Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 7, 1908, in Berlin, Germany, to Pahl and Elizabeth Albrecht.
Prior to moving to Poulsbo last year, she spent 60 years living in Seattle.
She is survived by one son, Charles of Port Ludlow; two cousins, Kurt Greenberger of Blaine and Hans Albrecht of Omak; nine grandchildren, Steve, Marc, Pamela, Deborah, Sheryl, Michael, Mark, Sean, and Dawn; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Oct. 24 at Martha and Mary Nursing Home in Poulsbo. Services are under the direction of Stone Chapel in Poulsbo.
Diana Scherfenberg
Diana L. Scherfenberg, 55, of Shelton died Oct. 19, 1998, at Harrison Memorial Hospital of cancer.
She was born June 16, 1943, in Oakland, Calif. to Casey and Jean Kasyan. She was raised in Livermore, Calif.
Mrs. Scherfenberg was a homemaker and an apartment manager.
Survivors include her husband, Gary; three stepsons, Robert of Bremerton, James of Hesperia, Calif., and Paul of Graham; three daughters, Annette McNeely, Shelly Gibson, and Kimberly Brown, all of Belfair; one stepdaughter, Barbara Kinsman of Bremerton; two sisters, Laurie Crouch of Port Orchard and Lynn Hopkins of Shelton; nine granddaughters; and eight grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Christina.
Cremation will be at Rill Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel.

Darlene Hanson
Darlene J. Hanson, 65, of Port Orchard died Oct. 15, 1998, at her home.
She was born Sept. 21, 1933, in Aberdeen to Oscar and Velma (Bafford) Neeley. She was raised in Olympia, graduating from Olympia High School in 1951.
On Aug. 5, 1966, she married
John W. Hanson in Port Orchard. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Hanson made her living as a bar manager at the Port Orchard Eagles and then managed the VFW in Port Orchard for 20 years until her retirement in 1985.
She was a member of the Port Orchard Eagles Aerie No. 2308 and the Port Orchard VFW Auxiliary No. 2669.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Wilson of Port Orchard and Kenneth Wilson of Silverdale; two daughters, Callie Neal of Alabama and Lorelei Hill of Bremerton; a brother, Thomas Neeley of McQueeney, Texas; a sister, Sandra Ransom of Tacoma; four grandchildren, Tyrone and Christopher Neal of West Virginia, Jennifer Hill of Texas and John Hill Jr. of Port Orchard; and three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jack Wilson, in 1980.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 22 at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. Interment
will follow a service at Sunset Lane cemetery.

Beverly Edmonson
Former Poulsbo resident, Beverly Jo Edmonson, 42, of Madison, Wis., died Oct. 14, 1998.
She was born Aug. 16, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas, to Jack and Sue (De Ville) Edmonson. She was raised and educated in Poulsbo, graduating from North Kitsap High School in 1974.
Most recently, she made her living as a supply clerk at University Hospital in Madison, Wis.
Survivors include her parents; five brothers, Jack Jr., Charles, David and Robert, all of Poulsbo, and Richard of Canyon, Texas; and two sisters, Jackie Wagnon of Sand Springs, Okla., and Mary Edmonson of Poulsbo.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 23 at The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove Memorial Park.

Cecilia Hirschi
Cecilia L. Hirschi, 93, of Poulsbo died Oct. 16, 1998, at Martha and Mary Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 17, 1905, in Becker, Minn., to William and Delia Bailey. She was raised and educated in Ballard, graduating from Holy Angels Academy in 1923.
On July 11, 1948, she married
Charles Hirschi in Kent. He preceded her in death in May 1998.
Hirschi was a bookkeeper for many years with Pope and Talbot Lumber in Port Gamble and was also the paymaster for the construction of the original Hood Canal floating bridge.
She was a member of St. Olaf's Catholic Church in Poulsbo.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia DeLapp of Poulsbo; a brother, George Bailey of Seattle; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 at St. Olaf's Catholic Church. A memorial service will be at noon Oct. 21, also at St. Olaf's. Inurnment is at Poulsbo City cemetery.
