Hazel Young
Hazel H. Young, 80, of Port Orchard died following a lengthy illness Nov. 19, 2001, in Bremerton.
She was born Oct. 25, 1921, in Newport, S.D., to William and Anna (Carro) Korthour.
She married
Ivo "Bud" Young on Nov. 25, 1965, in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1993.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
She was a member of Central Kitsap Christian Church.
She is survived by a brother, Raymon Korthour, and a sister, Louise Burns, both of South Dakota.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. Private interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Cornelius Harrington
The Rev. Cornelius J. Harrington, 87, of Seattle died Nov. 17, 2001, in Seattle.
He was born Nov. 24, 1914, in British Columbia, Canada, to Cornelius and Kate Harrington. He graduated in 1941 from Saint Edward's Seminary in Kenmore.
Rev. Harrington was a parish priest in Western Washington for 60 years. He was a pastor at St. Cecilia Catholic Church on Bainbridge Island from 1975 to 1979. He also was a chaplain aboard Holland America Cruise Ships.
He is survived by a brother, John L. of Seattle. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank; and four sisters, Ellen, Kathleen, Margaret and Mary.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9622 20th SW in Seattle. Interment
will be at Calvary cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Archdiocese of Seattle Fund for Retired Priests.
Anthony Hannan
Anthony Hannan, 67, of Allyn died of cancer Nov. 17, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born July 30, 1934, in Maple Park, Ill., to Thomas and Mary (Halligan) Hannan. He graduated from West High School in Bremerton, in 1975 from the University of Puget Sound, and in 1997 from barber college.
He served in the Coast Guard from 1952 to 1956.
He married
Regina A. Beauchamp on Jan. 5, 1957, in Bremerton.
Mr. Hannan was a general foreman shipfitter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1989. He later was a barber.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Bremerton, the Poggie Club of Bremerton and Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Belfair.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, John of Belfair, Jeffrey of Birmingham, Ala., and Daniel and Joseph, both of Seattle; a daughter, Meg Babcock of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sisters, Margaret Waltenburg of Port Angeles and Mary Ellen Arrington of Bremerton; and 13 grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sandhill Road, in Belfair. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Linda McKee Davis
Linda McKee Davis, 44, of Bremerton died Nov. 16, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Feb. 18, 1957, in Portland, Ore., to Ray and Marilyn McKee. She graduated in 1975 from East High School in Bremerton.
She married
Ted Davis in September 1980 in Bremerton.
She was a cook for 28 years.
She is survived by her husband; her mother and stepfather, Marilyn and Don Young of Bremerton; her father and stepmother, Ray and Janice McKee of Arizona; two sons, Nicholas and Bret, both of Bremerton; a brother, John McKee of Bremerton; two sisters, Nancy Bryant and Marilou Hale, both of Port Orchard; and paternal grandmother, Mary McKee of Corvallis, Ore.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Lyle Loudermilk
Former Bremerton resident, Lyle V. Loudermilk, 54, of Indianapolis, Ind., died Nov. 16, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born May 22, 1947, in Brazil, Ind., to Lloyd and Elberta (Porter) Loudermilk.
He married
Audrey Begley on Dec. 29, 1973.
He served in the Army for 22 years, achieving the rank of sergeant first class. He completed three tours in Vietnam.
He worked in security for Globe Aviation.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mark and Brian; a daughter, Melody R.; three brothers, Melvin Porter, Lester and James Loudermilk; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 2 p.m. today, followed by a funeral service, both at Crown Hill Funeral Home in Indianapolis.
Garry Spore
Garry A. Spore, 65, of Port Orchard died of colon cancer, Nov. 17, 2001, in Bremerton.
He was born April 25, 1936, in Port Angeles to Harland and Margaret (Kidd) Spore. He graduated in 1954 from South Kitsap High School.
He married
Patsy Lang in 1955. They divorced in 1970.
He married
Cindy (Shawley) Fantz in 1974.
He was a letter carrier for 27 years; managed Lile Moving and Storage in Bremerton for 17 years; and sold insurance and annuities to Kitsap School District for 15 years. Mr. Spore was a former president of the Bremerton-Kitsap County Life Underwriters.
He enjoyed steelhead fishing and golf. He was a past member of Kitsap Golf and Country Club, Eagles 2338, Elks 1181, Navy League, Kiwanis and the Chamber of Commerce.
He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David of Selah; a stepson, Brian Fantz of Port Orchard; two daughters, Vickie Pelton of Sammamish and Tami Spore of Redmond; three brothers, Jim of Port Orchard, Doug of Bremerton and Ray of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald, in 1992; and a stepson, Rady Fantz, in 1990.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Interment
will be at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.

Sue Kingston
Suzanne M. "Sue" Kingston, aka Suzy Wong, 61, of Bremerton died Nov. 13, 2001, at home.
She was born May 19, 1940, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Hubert and Charlotte (Holmes) Smith. She graduated in 1955 from Vallejo High School and in 1988 from Olympic College.
She was a waitress for 21 years, most recently at Yee's On The Bay.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Port Orchard.
Survivors include a son, Roger of Port Orchard; a daughter, Dawn of Bremerton; a brother, Sidney F. Smith of San Diego; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Port Orchard Active Club, 1025 Tacoma Ave., in Port Orchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

George Vanderbilt
George H. Vanderbilt, 90, of Manchester died Nov. 19, 2001, at Manor Care Center in Gig Harbor.
He was born Aug. 30, 1911, in Palmer to William and Jessie (MacDonald) Vanderbilt. He graduated in 1929 from Queen Anne High School in Seattle.
He served in the Army during World War II, achieving the rank of second lieutenant.
He married
Willetta "Billie" Gross on April 9, 1955, in Gig Harbor.
He was a field manager for Washington State Department of Game for 30 years, retiring in 1976.
He enjoyed reading and watching sports.
Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Dan Clark of Olympia and Michael Hoffman of Bainbridge Island; a stepdaughter, Betty Hoffman, of Sedro-Woolley; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, William; and a sister, Dorothy Lathrop.

Daniel Shively
Daniel Robert Shively, 44, of Seattle died Nov. 7, 2001, in Seattle.
He was born May 24, 1957, in Billings, Mont., to Robert and Shirley (Munro) Shively. He graduated in 1975 from North Kitsap High School and in 1979 from the University of Washington.
He worked in merchandising display and design for retail merchants.
He enjoyed painting and photography. He was a Christian.
Survivors include his parents of Kingston; and a brother, Dr. Michael D. of Boston, Mass. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kari Lyn; and a brother, Timothy N.

Helen Christey
Helen W. Christey, 91, of Bremerton died Nov. 16, 2001, at Belmont Terrace Convalescent Center.
She was born Dec. 21, 2001, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Roy E. and Myrtle (Casteel) Stark. She graduated from high school in Des Moines.
She married
George Leeland Christey on May 19, 1930, in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1967.
She was a homemaker and a member of Lincoln Avenue Bible Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary E. Bolinger; a sister, Mildred Wieck; and three grandchildren.
Inurnment will be at Evergreen-Washelli in Seattle.

Bill Boubel
William W. "Bill" Boubel, 45, of Poulsbo died of Lou Gehrig's Disease on Nov. 15, 2001, at home.
He was born Nov. 11, 1957, in Corvallis, Ore., to Richard and Ruth Boubel. He graduated in 1976 from Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis and in 1980 from Oregon State University in Corvallis.
He married
Margaret Binns in 1986 in Salem, Ore. She continues to reside in Poulsbo.
He owned Puget Engineering in Poulsbo for 10 years.
He was an avid fisherman and golfer.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, Richard and Ruth Boubel of Sunriver, Ore.; one son, David of Poulsbo; one daughter, Julia Boubel of Poulsbo; one brother, Thomas of Spokane; and two sisters, Jane Boubel of Olympia and Elizabeth Nutter of Camas.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Kitsap Memorial State Park.
