Edna Madison
Edna F. Madison, 76, of Silverdale died Oct. 14, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born May 9, 1925, in Bremerton to Lloyd and Dora (Ogden) Wilkins.
She married
Tom Madison on March 14, 1960. He preceded her in death in 1992.
She was a cosmetologist in Bremerton.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Buchanan of Silverdale; a brother, George Wilkins of Clarkson; two sisters, Kathleen Voorhies of Mason Lake and Lois Williams of Sunnyslope; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Taylor in 1976; and two brothers, Stanley Wilkins and Arleigh Wilkens.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Charlie Ross
Charles A. "Charlie" Ross, 61, of Olalla died of cancer Oct. 13, 2001, in Bremerton.
He was born Dec. 18, 1939, in Mobile, Ala., to Charles and Maude (Hardin) Ross.
On Dec. 6, 1968, he married
Violet M. Lowrey in Winterhaven, Calif.
Mr. Ross served in the Navy for 22 years, retiring as master chief torpedoman.
He enjoyed gold mining and was a member of the Lost Dutchman Mine Association. He also was a member of the American Legion in Bremerton.
Survivors include his wife; his stepson, Greg Kaercher of Shelton, one daughter, Pam Miller of Florida; his stepfather, Bill Brown of Cumming, Ga.; two brothers, Bob Ross of Astoria, Ore., and Cary Hayes of Taylorsville, Ga.; and two sisters, June Miller of Alpharetta, Ga., and Mary Autry of Taylorsville, Ga.
At his request, no service is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Kevin Byers
Kevin Jay Byers, 48, of Bremerton died Oct. 10, 2001, in Bremerton.
He was born March 9, 1953, in Yakima to Ralph and Maxene Byers.
He married
Sandra Worth on May 15, 1975.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Brandon Jay and Janson Scott, both of Bremerton; one daughter, Shanna Lynn of Bremerton; two brothers, Allen of Selah, and Kelley of Tacoma. He was preceded in death by a brother, Steve.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Belfair Community Baptist Church.
Rita Dieckmeier
Rita Mae Dieckmeier, 82, of Bremerton died Oct. 12, 2001, in Bremerton.
She was born March 7, 1919, in Spokane to Leslie and Alta (Reinwald) Jones.
She was the director of licensing for the Washington State Insurance Commission.
She is survived by a son, Roger of Bremerton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick.
At the family's request, no service will be held. Cremation by Cherry Grove Crematory. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Arthur Lins
Arthur C. Lins, 86, of Bremerton died Oct 6, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born March 4, 1915, in Chicago to Arthur and Stella (Crane) Lins.
He married
Carrie Hornof on Dec. 2, 1931, in Butte, Mont.
He was general foreman of the paint shop at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1973.
He was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades and Steadfast Lodge 216 F&AM and Scottish Rite Bodies of Bremerton.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dolores Fitzwater of Bremerton; two brothers, Walt and Jack, both of Great Falls, Mont.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A private service will be held later. Cremation will be by Cherry Grove Crematory. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Mary Moyer
Mary Lucille (White) Moyer, 70, died Oct. 5, 2001, at her Belfair residence.
She was born Jan. 17, 1931, in Moss Point, Miss.
She served in the Navy from 1950 to 1952 as a corpsman in Oakland, Calif.
She married
William F. "Bill" Moyer on April 15, 1952, in Reno, Nev.
She worked as a nurse at Harrison Hospital for many years.
She was a member of the Evergreen Garden Club and enjoyed petit point needlework.
Survivors include her husband of Belfair; two sons, John Moyer and William "Joe" Moyer of Bremerton; a daughter, Linda Taylor of Centralia; a brother, Leonard White of Crosby, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 20 at Belfair cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee of Bremerton.
The family requests no flowers be sent.
Ralph Cooper
Ralph W. Cooper, 79, of Tacoma died Oct. 9, 2001, in Tacoma.
He was born Nov. 21, 1921, in Santa Ana, Calif., to Charles and Ruby (Harmon) Cooper. He attended South Kitsap High School.
He served in the Army from 1942 to 1946 as a private first class.
Survivors include a brother, Wayne Cooper of Port Orchard; and two sisters, Charlene Hargraves of Albuquerque, N.M., and Dolores Ritchie of Yakima County. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Charlie and James Cooper.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Christopher Ladwig
Christopher Mark Ladwig, 31, formerly of Bremerton, died Oct. 9, 2001, in Salt Lake City. He suffered complications resulting from a lung transplant and cystic fibrosis.
He was born July 31, 1970, in Findlay, Ohio, to Ron and Gale (Childress) Ladwig. He attended St. Joseph's High School and Weber State University both in Ogden, Utah, and Mt. Hood College in Portland, Ore.
He was a funeral director for six years.
He enjoyed skiing and four-wheeling.
He was Presbyterian.
He is survived by his parents of Ogden; and two brothers, Lance and Eric.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Ogden. Arrangements are under the direction of Leavitt's Mortuary.

Edna Grevstad
Edna Mae Grevstad, 82, died Oct. 8, 2001, at her home in Port Orchard.
She was born Dec. 14, 1918, in Bemidji, Minn., to Asa and Jessie (Campbell) McIvor. She was educated in Minnesota.
She married
Marvin Bertil Grevstad on July 27, 1939. He predeceased her in 1974.
She was a mail carrier for 13 years.
She enjoyed children and reading.
She is survived by two daughters, Louise Grevstad of Edmonds and Sandra Ashlock of Port Orchard; two sisters, Jessie Offley of Gig Harbor and Hattie Howard of Everett; and one grandson.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Marvin Grevstad; a brother, James McIvor; and five sisters, Donna Brown, Bernice Freeze, Blanche McIvor, Loretta Bekenyi and Lucille Wilkes.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Kitsap Cremation and Buriel Society.

Kenneth Richardson
Kenneth Moody Richardson, 84, of Belfair died Oct. 3, 2001, of heart failure at Martha and Mary Health Care Center in Poulsbo.
He was born Dec. 11, 1917, in Alberta, Canada, to Omar and Mabel Richardson. He graduated from high school and college in Moscow, Idaho.
Mr. Richardson worked as a warehouseman at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 30 years until his retirement.
He enjoyed football and baseball, especially the Mariners. He was a member of The Storehouse Church in Poulsbo and also served as an ordained minister with that church.
Mr. Richardson is survived by one sister, Marion Rea of Boise, Idaho. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Clark and Dorothy Henrickson.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Oct. 27 at The Storehouse Church, 19581 Viking Ave. NW in Poulsbo.

Patrick Cramer
Patrick H. Cramer Sr., 68, of Bremerton died of cancer Sept. 15, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Nov. 29, 1932, in Bremerton to Joseph and Catherine (Pfundt) Cramer. He was a 1952 graduate of Central Kitsap High School.
Mr. Cramer served in the Navy and was a Korean War veteran.
He married
Marian Reed on June 20, 1959, in Oswego, Ore.
Mr. Cramer was a car salesman for 34 years.
He enjoyed gardening and traveling. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Patrick Jr. of Bremerton; a daughter, Kerry of Olympia; a brother, Leo of Bremerton; and a sister, Catherine Samuel of Montana.
Services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of Kitsap Cremation and Burial Society.
