Gregory Hall
Gregory Lee Hall, 48, of Bremerton died of a cerebral hemorrhage Oct. 1, 2001, at his home.
He was born April 26, 1953, at Larson Air Force Base in Moses Lake to Arthur and Barbara (Patterson) Hall. He was a 1971 graduate of South Kitsap High School.
He married
Tricia Fromhart in Port Orchard in 1977. They later divorced.
From 1967 to 1986, Mr. Hall worked in the grocery industry at Forest Park Grocery and at Thriftway, both in Port Orchard, and Safeway in Anchorage, Alaska. He later painted custom homes.
He collected eagle memorabilia and enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include a son, Shane of Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho; two brothers, Wally Hall of Port Orchard and Darin Speed of Monroe; his parents, Barbara Hall and Art and Joyce Hall, all of Port Orchard; and his former wife. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Lona Hall; and maternal grandparents, Sandy Patterson and Gladys "Hap" Lutes.
At his request, no service is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee of Bremerton.

Charles Wilson
Charles S. Wilson, 83, of Poulsbo died Oct. 8, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born July 25, 1918, in Pennsauken, N.J., to Stirling and Dora (Corson) Wilson. He graduated in 1936 from Littleton High School in Colorado, and in 1949 and 1951 from Denver University.
He served in the Air Force from 1942 to 1946.
He married
Mary McCormick on July 27, 1947, in Torrington, Wyo.
He taught high school mathematics for 30 years, retiring in 1979.
He enjoyed volunteering at the Naval Undersea Museum at Keyport and the Fishline Food Bank in Poulsbo.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, David of Missoula, Mont., and Stephen of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Ann Wallgren of Poulsbo; a sister, Frances Akers of Grand Junction, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
At the family's request, no service will be held.

John Hancock
John Michael Hancock, 66, died of natural causes Oct. 7, 2001, at his Bremerton home.
He was born June 15, 1935, in Seattle to George W. and Marie Pearl (Tilman) Hancock. He graduated in 1961 from Western Washington University and attended the University of Arizona.
He was married
to Pamela Jean Hancock.
Mr. Hancock served in the Air Force, achieving the rank of captain and was an assistant conductor in the Air Force Band in London.
He later taught elementary school in Bremerton until retirement.
He was a volunteer court advocate for the Kitsap County Juvenile Court and served on the Bremerton Planning Commission.
Mr. Hancock played the trombone in the Home Town Band and the Farragut Brass Band. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Damian of Oak Harbor and Geoffrey of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Siobhan of San Diego and Julie of Tucson; a sister Marrianne Hawkins of Pleasanton, Calif.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Jean.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.

Dorothy Lampert
Dorothy McFarland Lampert, 67, died Oct. 9, 2001, at her home in Bremerton.
She was born Jan. 28, 1934, in Downey, Idaho, to Wyatt and Catherine (Condie) Hamilton. She graduated in 1952 from Wendel High School in Wendel, Idaho, and attended technical college.
She was a health care clinic manager for 20 years.
Survivors include two sons, David McFarland of Issaquah and Doug McFarland of Cambridge, Minn.; four brothers, Bill and Roy Hamilton of Oregon; Keith Hamilton of California and Wyatt Hamilton of Utah; a sister, Margaret Nysingh of Oregon; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lampert in 1990; and a son, Dean Hamilton.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at her home. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Tina Gerou
Tina D. Gerou, 57, of Bremerton died Oct. 6, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born July 7, 1944, in Chicago, Ill., to Lyle and Teckla Sunderland. She graduated from Central Kitsap High School.
She was a certified nurse assistant for 10 years.
She enjoyed animals and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her parents of Tracyton; three sons, Dale Coyle of Port Ludlow, Darren Lanham of Bremerton and Joseph Gerou of Seabeck; a daughter, Shelley Callahan of Port Orchard; two brothers, Jim Deardorf of Tracyton and Tom Sunderland of Seattle; two sisters, Karen Wallace of Valdez, Alaska, and Susan Schenk of Mill Creek; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Arthur Lins
Arthur C. Lins, 86, of Bremerton died Oct 6, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born March 4, 1915, in Chicago to Arthur and Stella (Crane) Lins.
He married
Carrie Hornof on Dec. 2, 1931, in Butte, Mont.
He was general foreman of the paint shop at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1973.
He was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades and Steadfast Lodge 216 F&AM and Scottish Rite Bodies of Bremerton.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dolores Fitzwater of Bremerton; two brothers, Walt and Jack, both of Great Falls, Mont.; and two grandchildren.
A private service will be held later. Cremation by Cherry Grove Crematory. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Bryan Dixon
Bryan G. Dixon, 81, of Silverdale diedOct. 7, 2001, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
He was born Nov. 25, 1919, in Beaufort County, N.C., to Jesse Gerome and Ruby Elizabeth (Latham) Dixon.
He married
Helen I. Thornbrue on March 31, 1942, in Philadelphia.
He served in the Navy from 1939 to 1945 as a chief electrician's mate. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor.
He later worked for Bonneville Power Administration for 37 years, retiring in 1977.
He enjoyed gardening and walking.
He was a member of Navy Yard City Bible Church.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Patricia Wright of Port Orchard, Teresa Day of Preston and Marcia Dixon of Bremerton; a sister, Helen Rowe of Washington, N.C.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Norwood, Jesse and Sherwood; and two sisters, Ruby Sharpe and Edna Thompson.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Navy Yard City Bible Church, 3648 F St., in Bremerton.

Stephen Martin
Stephen F. Martin, 90, of Port Orchard died Oct. 6, 2001, in Port Orchard.
He was born Feb. 27, 1911, in Bessemer, Mich. He graduated from high school in Detroit and attended the University of Detroit.
He was a tool and die engineer for Boeing for 15 years.
He enjoyed spending time inventing and playing golf.
He is survived by three sons, Bruce of Mesa, Ariz., Craig of Allyn and Steve of Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Mick Flones of Michigan and Holly Burtt of Burlington; two sisters, Rose Boynton of Bloomington, Mich., and Annie Kaiser of Florida; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail V. (Tallman) Martin in 1983; and two sisters, Elizabeth Kaisinger and Mary Uhler.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Guido DiFabbio
Guido DiFabbio, 68, of Bremerton died Oct. 6, 2001, in Bremerton.
He was born July 24, 1933, in Differdange, Luxembourg, to Cesidio and Rosaria (Arquila) DiFabbio. He graduated in 1951 from Seward Park High School in New York City.
He was a staff sergeant in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956.
He later was an electrician for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 28 years, retiring in 1996.
He enjoyed reading and visiting Las Vegas. He was a Catholic.
He is survived by a sister, Flora D'Emilio of New York City.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, with a rosary following, both at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Emmaline Colson
Emmaline Colson, 80, died Sept. 30, 2001, at her Gig Harbor residence.
She was born Oct. 13, 1920, in Bothell to Thomas and Clara (Putman) Lewis. She graduated in 1938 from Bothell High School and in 1940 from Metropolitan Business College in Seattle.
She married
Harold R. Colson on Dec. 8, 1942, in Bothell.
She was a homemaker and a member of Aurilla Rebekka Lodge 133 and Gig Harbor Grange 445.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Ron of Gig Harbor, Robert of Allyn and Richard of Ferdinand, Idaho; two daughters, Bonnie Wise of Gig Harbor and Julia Binder of Sedro Woolley; two brothers, Llewellyn Lewis of Olympia and David Lewis of Wenatchee; a sister, Ruth Halliwell of Kittitas; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 27 at Independent Order of Odd Fellows Hall, 100 S. Dora St. in Bremerton.

Eva Miller
Former Kingston resident Eva Holly (Davis) Miller, 18, died Oct. 5, 2001, in Redding, Calif.
She was born Nov. 19, 1982, in Seattle to Jim Faber and Geraldine Davis. She graduated from high school in Everett.
She married
Matthew Miller in 1999 in Everett.
She was a member of Assemblies of God.
Survivors include her husband of Everett; her father and stepmother, Jim Faber and Barb Lowel, both of Kingston; her mother of Seattle; a son, Wesley of Seattle; two brothers, Kevin McCandlish and Jimmy Faber of Kingston; a sister, Samantha Faber of Kingston; maternal grandparents, Tom and Evangeline Davis of Mountlake Terrace; and paternal grandparents, Russell Axtell and Marilyn Faber, both of Seattle.
