Mary Noldan
Mary H. Noldan, 50, of Grapeview died of lung cancer July 27, 2001, at her home.
She was born May 15, 1951, in Waverly, Ky., to Joseph and Anna (Siegler) Kresic. She graduated in 1969 from Westfield High School in Neshkoro, Wis.
She served in the Air Force from 1974 to 1976. She later was a bookkeeper for four years.
She married
John Noldan on Aug. 11, 1984, in Bremerton.
Mrs. Noldan enjoyed her rose gardens and was a member of the North Mason Fraternal Order of Eagles 4226.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Joseph of Grapeview and John of Sarasota Springs, N.Y.; four daughters, Vickie Martin of Olympia, Leah Martin of Belfair, Nichole Moore of Millington, Tenn., and Melissa Simpson of Lexington, Ky.; a brother, John Kresic of Neshkoro; a sister, Ann Pudinski of Stanton, Calif.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph.
A memorial service will be at noon Aug. 12 at North Mason Eagles 4226.

Charles Peckham
Charles E. Peckham, 76, of Bremerton died July 29, 2001, at Evergreen of Bremerton.
He was born March 25, 1925, in Newport, R.I., to Reginald and Nellie (O'Brien) Peckham. He attended school in Rhode Island, graduating in 1942 from De La Salle Academy and later from New England Technical Institute.
He served in the Marines from 1944 to 1950, achieving the rank of corporal.
He worked from 1949 to 1959 at Penn State Ordinance Research Lab. He then was a torpedo specialist at Naval Undersea Warfare Center at Keyport, from 1959 until retiring in 1966.
He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his companion, Shirley Peckham Foss of Port Gamble; two sons, Christopher of Bremerton and Stephen of Kingston; two daughters, Colleen Gainey of Bremerton and Caroline Burgh of Suquamish; a brother, James of Newport; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert D.; and a brother, Larry.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today at Forest Lawn cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Bobbie Brandfas
Barbara "Bobbie" Brandfas, 79, of Port Orchard died July 31, 2001, in Bremerton.
She was born Dec. 7, 1921, in Nampa, Idaho, to Milton and Gladys (Millspa) Long. She graduated in 1939 from Donnelly High School in Donnelly, Idaho.
She married
Paul Brandfas on March 8, 1941, in Cascade, Idaho.
Mrs. Brandfas enjoyed spending time with her family and camping. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Robert of Port Orchard and Paul Jr. of Bremerton; two brothers, Jerry and Johnny Long, both of Spokane; a sister, Selma Pittendrigh of Calif.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, also at Lewis Funeral Chapel with interment at Forest Lawn cemetery.

Jewell Junell
Former Bremerton resident Jewell H. Junell, 93, of Sacramento, Calif., died July 30, 2001, in Sacramento.
She was born July 31, 1907, in Durant, Okla., to Charlie and Addie Hay. She graduated from college in Durant in 1927.
She married
William Junell on April 26, 1930, in Durant. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Junell was a third-grade teacher for 24 years, 23 years at East Bremerton Elementary School, retiring in 1972.
She enjoyed hand-sewing and flower arranging. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Bremerton.
Survivors include a son, Bob of Sacramento; a sister, Idell Keener of Durant; and two grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Eloise Smith of Bremerton; and a brother LeRoy Hay of Phoenix.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, with a funeral service following at 1 p.m. Interment
will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Erica Tanguay-Kuhlman
Infant daughter Erica Madilin Tanguay-Kuhlman of Shane Tanguay and Kelly Kuhlman died shortly after birth July 27, 2001, at Harrison Hospital, Silverdale.
She is survived by her parents of Bremerton; a sister, Ashley Tanguay; and maternal grandparents, Bill and Debbie Kuhlman of Seabeck.
Cremation is under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Ralph Woods Jr.
Ralph L. Woods Jr. 86, of Poulsbo died of cancer July 24, 2001, at Martha & Mary Health Care Center.
He was born July 24, 1915, in St. Helens, Ore.
He married
Ivy Scott on Aug. 21, 1937, in Los Angeles. She preceded him in death in 1993.
Mr. Woods was a private in the Marine Corps from 1934 to 1938.
He later was a machinist at the Naval Undersea Warfare Training Center at Keyport, retiring in 1977.
Mr. Woods enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include a son, William of Angelton, Texas; two daughters, Pauline Query of Bremerton and Barbara Woods of Walla Walla; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Cremation was under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Lila Winn
Former Bremerton resident Lila A. Winn, 93, of Yelm died of natural causes July 25, 2001, in Yelm.
She was born Jan. 28, 1908, in New Rockford, N.D.
Survivors include five nephews, Frank McRae of Marysville, Robert McRae of Roy, Lyle McRae of Mill Creek, and James and John McRae, both of Everett; and a niece, Loretta Whitted of Seattle.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Lutheran Church, 916 Veneta Ave. in Bremerton. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn cemetery.

Bill Hansen
Bill Hansen, 77, of Poulsbo died July 28, 2001, in Poulsbo.
He was born Dec. 15, 1923, on Bainbridge Island to Ray and Shirley Hansen. He graduated from Bainbridge High School.
He married
June Heron in Elma. She preceded him in death in 1999.
Mr. Hansen served in the Navy from 1943 to 1947, achieving the rank of gunner third class.
He was a delivery driver for Darigold and a cook at The Diner in Poulsbo.
Mr. Hansen enjoyed fishing and digging for geoducks.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy De Nune of Poulsbo, and Mary Anne Rushton of Port Townsend; a brother, Erwin "Sonny" of Belfair; three sisters, Anita Armstrong and Evelyn Peterson, both of Bainbridge Island, and Marie Kelsey of Onalaska, Alaska; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Andrews.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at 323 NE Plover Court in Poulsbo. Arrangements are under the direction of Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel.
Donald Porter
Donald L. Porter, 51, of Port Orchard died of natural causes July 28, 2001, in Bremerton.
He was born June 2, 1950, in Benton, Ill., to John and Bernadine (Lowry) Porter. He graduated in 1968 from Springfield High School in Springfield, Ill. He also attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., and Appalachian Bible College in Bradley, W.Va.
He married
Barbara Rexroad on Oct. 13, 1979, in Springfield.
He was a chef, most recently at Sidney House Assisted Living in Port Orchard.
He enjoyed gardening and prayer, and was a member of the Port Orchard Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his mother of Springfield; five sons, Benjamin, Marshall, Justin, Aaron and Wade; two daughters, Pamela and Rose, both of Port Orchard; and a brother, John R. Jr. of Riverton, Ill.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Port Orchard Church of the Nazarene. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Dennis Haugen
Former Bremerton resident Dennis Haugen, 61, of Seattle, died of natural causes July 21, 2001, in Seattle.
He was born Dec. 10, 1939, in Brookings, S.D., to Adolph and Hannah (Johnson) Haugen.
He is survived by a sister, Joyce Lombard of Belfair. He was preceded in death by a brother, Monte.
Services have been held.
Mary Lee (Reynolds) McDonald
Former Kitsap County resident Mary Lee (Reynolds) McDonald, 53, of Moscow, Idaho, died of cancer July 25, 2001, in Idaho.
She was born Aug. 6, 1947, in Moscow to Jacob Howard and Mary Margaret Reynolds. She graduated from the University of Idaho and from Olympic College.
She was active in ministry work and was an avid reader.
She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She is survived by her former husband, Richard McDonald; her mother and stepfather, Mary and Richard Wright of Genesee, Idaho; three daughters, Rose Marie of Burlington, Anna Johnson of Frederick, Md., and Linda Beth of Tacoma; a brother, John Howard Reynolds of Moscow; three sisters, Joanne Nelson of Dillingham, Alaska, Winnie Williams of Pinehurst, Idaho, and Linda May Aldrich of Kennewick. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Donald Reynolds; and her father, Jacob Howard Reynolds.
A memorial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1901 Bielmeir Road in Port Orchard. Memorial donations may be made to the same address.
Gladys Hannah
Gladys Louise Hannah, 96, of Belfair died July 30, 2001, in Port Orchard.
She was born Nov. 16, 1904, in Adrien, Mich., to Albert and Grace (Bolton) Eisennman.
She enjoyed being a homemaker and serving others.
She was a member of the Calvary Chapel of Port Orchard.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hannah in 1977.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. Interment
will take place at Twin Firs cemetery in Belfair.
