Jane Levy
Jane C. Levy, 91, of Bremerton died May 28, 2001, in Bremerton.
She was born April 1, 1910, in Eugene, Ore., to Benjamin and Teresa Berray.
She married
Harry Levy. He preceded her in death in 1978.
Survivors include nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by Leo Wilson and Joan Mitchell.
No service will be held.
Erwin Stahl
Erwin Stahl, 81, of Bremerton died June 3, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Oct. 15, 1919, in Pleasant View, S.D., to George and Katherine (Hofer) Stahl.
He was a sergeant in the Army from 1944 to 1946.
He married
Bernice Dormaier on Aug. 14, 1963, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
He was an engineer for 32 years, retiring in 1972.
He enjoyed golf and bowling.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Terry, Rick and Greg; a daughter, Kim; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Daniel Woolard
Daniel D. Woolard, 59, of Baker City, Ore., died May 31, 2001, at home.
He was born Sept. 26, 1941, in Jackson Hole, Wyo.
He served in the Army, stationed in France.
He loved fishing and the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; six sons, Eric, Brent, Bryan, Josh, Kenny and Sean; two brothers, Tommy and William; a sister, Maralee; and nine grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at Gray's West & Co. Pioneer Chapel in Oregon.
Homer Willis
Homer R. Willis, 83, of Grapeview died May 31, 2001, at home.
He was born March 19, 1918, in Spokane to Homer and Nora (Bailey) Willis. He was educated in Colorado and New Mexico.
He married
Inga Sund on Jan. 15, 1944.
He worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 20 years, retiring in 1983.
He enjoyed working on trucks and old tractors.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael of Grapeview; a daughter, Diane Scharpp of Snohomish; a brother, Robert of Tacoma; two sisters, Alene Cowen of Billings and Joyce Rindal of Edwall; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Home Chapel in Shelton. Arrangements are under the direction of McComb Funeral Home.
Windy Burgess
Wendell "Windy" L. Burgess, 78, of Port Orchard died June 1, 2001, at Tacoma General Hospital.
He was born June 24, 1922, in Lynden to Io and Maude (Johnson) Burgess. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1940.
He married
Rose Perelli on Jan. 7, 1941, in Bellingham.
He served in the Navy as a radar man from 1944 to 1946.
He had numerous careers including truck driving, landscaping, park ranger and real estate.
He was a member of the Lost Cord Club of Pierce County and Bremerton Group of Laryngectomies.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dr. Rockie of Des Moines and Bill of Port Orchard; a daughter, Sandy Hutto of Port Orchard; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel.
Lorenza Bacosa Sison
Lorenza Bacosa Sison, 63, of Silverdale died May 26, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Nov. 11, 1937, in Paco, Manila, Philippines, to Jose and Pacita (Iladia) Bacosa.
She married
Edgardo O. Sison on Sept. 11, 1956, in Olongapo City, Philippines.
She enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Owen of Balsic, Philippines and Robin of Silverdale; five daughters, Lorna Bland and Yolly Houston, both of Poulsbo, Marian Sison of Silverdale and Arlene and May Sison, both of Balsic; two sisters, Aida Prado and Laura Diestro, both of Manila; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Mario, Cielito and Ruel.
Visitation is scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m. June 9 at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. June 11 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, with a graveside service following at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Jeanne Bell
Jeanne Elizabeth Bell, 35, of Port Orchard died May 25, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Sept. 18, 1965, in Seattle. She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1983 and from the University of Washington.
She married
Garren Bell on Aug. 3, 1985, in Port Orchard.
Mrs. Bell had been a counselor for the Washington Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. She later became a columnist with the Port Orchard Independent for five years.
She enjoyed writing and the outdoors.
Survivors include her husband; her parents, Kathleen Voyce of Seattle and James Willey Jr. of Port Orchard; a daughter, Madison of Port Orchard; a brother, Michael Jackson of Seattle; a sister, Jackie Stewart of Lynnwood; and her maternal grandmother, Theresa Voyce of Bremerton.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at Colby United Methodist Church. Private family interment will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Roy Lovgren
Roy E. Lovgren, 98, of Poulsbo died May 29, 2001, of natural causes in Bremerton.
He was born Dec. 9, 1902, in Edmonds to John and Selma (Lind) Lovgren. He attended the Breidablik School in Poulsbo.
Mr. Lovgren served with the Army Transport Service from 1941 to 1943.
He worked for the Military Sea Transportation Service as port steward in Seattle from 1943 to 1963 and as assistant port steward in San Francisco from 1965 to 1973.
Mr. Lovgren enjoyed baseball and bowling.
His survivors include two daughters, Linda Lovgren Houlton of Seattle and Nancy Helen Lovgren of Poulsbo; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Carl, Ruben, Ninien, Harold and Hugo; and by five sisters, Tressa, Elvera, Thelma, Evelyn and Goldie.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Monday at The Manor Farm Inn, 26069 Big Valley Road NE in Poulsbo. Inurnment will be at Evergreen-Washelli in Seattle. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Iluminada Echon
Iluminada (Mameng) Edquilang Echon, 67, of Silverdale died May 31, 2001, in Bremerton.
She was born Dec. 20, 1933, in Candelaria, Zambales, Philippines, to Doroteo and Ascuncion Edquilang. She graduated from St. Vincent Academy in Candelaria in 1954, from the University of the Philippines in Manila in 1958 and from Olympic College in 1982.
She married
Conrado Echon on May 6, 1961, in Quezon City, Philippines.
Mrs. Echon was a teacher and a registered nurse.
She enjoyed ballroom dancing and cooking. She was a member of the Roman Catholic church.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Cathy of Atlanta, Annette of Silverdale and Lucy of Portland, Ore.; three brothers, Adriano of the Philippines, Miquel of Cerritos, Calif. and Jimmy of San Diego; two sisters, Matilde of Lake Forest, Calif. and Purificacion of the Philippines; and three granddaughters. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Olive Mary, in 1967 and by brothers Luis in 1996 and Victor in 1994.
Visitation is scheduled for 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bremerton, with interment at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park. A reception follows.

Elila Miller
Elila May Miller, 82, of Tracyton died May 28, 2001, in Bremerton.
She was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Barron, Wis., to Leslie and Margaret (Feyen) Krause/Cronk. She was educated in Menomonie, Wis.
She attended the Family Christian Center.
Survivors include a son, Larry of Bremerton; a brother, Wally Krause/Cronk of Menomonie; a sister, Lucille Bartlett of Menomonie; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Miller in 2000; and two brothers, Richard and Neal Krause/Cronk.
A memorial service will be at noon June 9 at Family Christian Center, 10989 Central Valley Road NW, in Poulsbo. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Mary George
Mary Rose George, 74, of Bremerton died following a lengthy illness May 29, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Sept. 10, 1926, at Lummi Nation to Fred and Saraphine (Bill) Victor. She attended Lummi Day High School and Seattle Bible College.
She married
Howard George on Nov. 30, 1942, in Bellingham. He preceded her in death in 1981.
She was a traveling minister for 25 years.
She enjoyed quilting and reading the Bible. She was a Pentecostal.
Survivors include three sons, Howard Jr., William and Frederick, all of Bremerton; three daughters, Diana Brinegan, Linda Levshakoff and Margaret George, all of Bremerton; two brothers, Peter and John Victor, both of Bellingham; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Alvin and James; a brother, Sam Victor; and two sisters, Evelyn George and Lena Williams.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and from 9 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 1 p.m. Monday, all at Lewis Chapel. Interment
will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
